Llegue a este condominio en noviembre del 2024 y el día que escribí esta reseña es diciembre 26 del 2024, solo un mes vasta para haber encontrado 10 escorpiones, tengo una nena de 3 años y no dejo de pensar que en cualquier momento me la pique un animal de esos, ella está aterrada por que ha presenciado ella misma varios de estos animales paseándose por la casa, tiene miedo de caminar y jugar en el piso de la casa. El condominio me dice q estoy es normal y fumigan con un liquido ahí q lejos de matar o espantar estos animales creo q los atraen. Esta es mi experiencia

Caution on Tours

I feel it's important to share a concerning experience regarding apartment tours that I recently encountered. During a recent tour, I was taken aback when the leasing agent requested a photocopy of my ID. The request was made hastily, leaving little room for discussion or refusal. In all my years of touring apartments, I have never encountered such a practice. The swift request for a photocopy of my ID raised red flags for me, and I couldn't help but question the legality and necessity of such a procedure. The thought of my personal information being stored or mishandled without my consent is unsettling, and I believe it's important for us to understand how our information is being handled. I urge you all to exercise caution during apartment tours and to question any requests for photocopies of your ID. It's within our rights to protect our personal information and identity, and we should not hesitate to assert those rights. Let's remain vigilant and informed about our privacy rights, ensuring that our personal information is handled responsibly and ethically.

Enjoyed 3 years here

8 plexes spaced out with pet friendly attractive landscaping and paths, 2 gorgeous pools that are kept clean by the maintenance crew, all our repair requests were taken care of quickly and we never had issues with crime. Our 1 bedroom unit was one of the remodeled ones. Only reason for 4 stars vs 5 was the annual rent increases.

My AC has been spilling water into the carpet, the water from the toilet has been ready for 24 days now, master bathroom, shower knob has black stuff not sure is mold! Unsafe

I have been here for 3 years, property is always littered with trash, people fighting in parking lots, my vehicle was broken into and pipes stolen, have had a rock thrown threw my window, several water leaks and bad plumbing. Spoke to neighbors and they too had cars broken into...now the exterior lights haven't worked for 2 months leaving our vehicles in the dark. Horrible and no body cares in Capri office!

It’s not worth it, find something else

Have been living here for about a year now and will be moving out. The property was worth the price almost when we moved in originally but now that they’ve raised rent a lot of our neighbors seem to be leaving and we will be doing so as well. The amenities seem to always be closed or in repair. The office is full of people who don’t know how to do their job. The gates are always broken so it isn’t really a ‘gated community’ The police are there on a weekly basis and plan on walking half a mile from your ‘assigned’ parking to your apartment with all your groceries even though your parking space is right in front of an apartment who’s parking space in right in front of your apartment, both in totally different buildings and the office will just tell you it’s not their problem. I highly recommend finding a different property as I’m sure any other property at this price point would be a better option.

An honest review

I moved out of state this month and as I’m reading the reviews for my next apartment I decided to check out these reviews to gain some idea if reviews are truly accurate. When I first moved in it wasn’t deep cleaned just dressed up to appear clean. All the repair jobs are really sloppy. Like we had a leak right above my shower and maintenance had to cut a 3x3 hole out. Well when he repaired the drywall he didn’t take the time to sand it flat, instead just spraying texture then I’m about a month that spot started turning yellow.. For the most part the complex is quite besides the kids that play outside they also don’t clean up after themselves. The one thing that did annoy me was how many ppl didn’t pick up after there dog.. I’m not the cleanest person ever(sometimes I won’t rinse my soda can before throwing it away & I’ll leave food out over night) but I’ve never had a cockroach or any pest problems living there. Management does suck though. Sometimes it would be 3 days before they got back to you. Overall not a bad experience and would happily stay move into her if this was located in Houston since I’m struggling to find a decent apartment without a pest problem. Almost all the reviews for the apartments I’m looking at have reviews about it being infested with roaches hence why I came here reading the reviews about this place

THEFT AND DESTRUCTION

I don’t know how Capri received 4 stars!! Don’t believe the listed photos, come take a look for yourself!!!!! Just read the reviews. It tells a true story of how this complex really is. Office did not respond to my emails in a timely matter on a theft incident at our home. Capri security told me not to call them but to call the police. Rent is too high for an area that has homeless people roaming through the trash all hours of the night. People riding through on bikes looking for something to steal. Water and trash fees went from $32 to $100 and steady going up! This was over a 3 year period. The trash dumpsters are a disaster. Maintenance team is awesome and my neighbors are decent people. So they must still be doing thorough background checks. I’m sure that will soon fall short as well when they did to feel empty units.

Worst Management!!!!

If only I can give 0 star. We can’t wait to move out. Cockroach infested and they want us to pay for the spray fee. They even have a threathening remark, “if the cockroach infested the other units, you will be charge?” Is that legal? Too high of rental fees. Worst ever!!!!!!!!

Prepare for FEES

Nickle and dimed at every turn. These people are relentless: there are a DOZEN fees you have to pay that they don't tell you about on the lease. One day late on your move-out form? $30 fee per day. Cable is not on the lease, but that's $90 per month. Utilities fees called "CAM charges" and "Service Fee" $26 every month. They charge for watering the lawn, call it a "Water Utility Fee," $17 a month. Because you pay THEM for the utilities (instead of the city, the trash company, whatever), they can surcharge you all they want. I have a file full of bills from them to prove it. You think it's over when you move out? NOPE. Expect to get bills from them for TWO MORE MONTHS. It's predatory. They lure you in with a pretty decent rent price and then sucker punch you with fees for everything. Before you know it, $765 for a one bedroom turns into $920 just for rent (not including your regular bills like electricity and water). And to top it all off, their final bill says this: "schedule an in-house payment arrangement to avoid any third party collectors," literally threatening you with a collection agency so you don't contest their charges.

TERRIBLE NEW MANAGEMENT !

Capri took over what was Camden Apartments, and this new management lacks communication! They overcharge with all the "new" features that don't make the complex any better as a whole. They will do anything to make themselves look like the good guys and screw you in the end. When your lease is up, they will give you a notice a day late so that way you are charged for another month's rent. After 3 years living here, I would never recommend this place to anyone; not even my worst enemy!

Great for the price

We stayed here for a year back when the complex was still Camden Palisades, and the price was amazing for 1 BR 1 BA (700 sq ft floor plan) since we got it on a summer special. We had a lot of basic amenities and didn't pay a fortune in move in costs... I'm sure the rent prices have gone up due to the new management company changing Camden Palisades Apartments to Capri North and South Apartment Homes. There were a lot of renovations happening when we moved out... Location isn't that great at Tropicana & Pecos. There's a WalMart, Sam's Club, Dollar Tree, etc nearby that you shouldn't go to at night... The only thing to be aware of is that the area surrounding the apartments was kind of sketchy. Not only is the complex super dark at night, but there are a lot of homeless milling around too. I would definitely advise not walking around alone at night. The complex has cops running through it almost daily and they almost always found something, so be aware of that... Move in and move out processes were very easy. I would recommend coming here if the price is good and you are looking for a basic apartment to meet your needs. There are much better options in better areas of town if you aren't in a pinch.

DO NOT RENT HERE 1 STAR APARTMENT

Let me start my review of Capri renting experience was a absolute nightmare! I lived in a one bedroom between 2012-2013 and had a total of 4 requests from the maintenance department. Fast forward to 2015-2016 we have had 28 maintenance requests and now they no longer have online payments or maintenance. Here is the list of things that went wrong while living here! Homeless people at night, crime is high. Managers Amy and Jessica are the most disrespectful people I have met in my life. I asked them to make things right and all they do is lie! To top everything off they sell this place over night and are gone. Worst rental experience in my life! Everything in our apartment broke and they blocked our walk ways for 2 full days with rocks. Staff members saying racist remarks to my roommate because we put in to many work orders. I ask them to address our fridge which was broken and they took over a month. Capri should be ashamed they allowed Amy and her team to run this place. No wonder it was sold because they are not honest people! I moved out with my roommate after having major issues with Camden and Capri. They are all talk about how wonderful the area is but it is so unsafe! Major crime area!! They do not protect their rentals at all and it is a free for all! The apt management team is the same people who would not fix any issues we had! They lost our lease and said they would honor however, they did not! They are horrible people and poorly run! They are low price apartments for a reason! They will charge you a dime for every penny you request in maintenance! They will charge you to pay rent and many times things will be broken ,they will just not fix! HUGE BIRD PROBLEM! They have so many birds around by parking any person would will have to wash their car everyday!

RENTERS BEWARE

Camden Palisades unlawfully, Restraining the renters' Right to choose and take advantage of the competitive rates offered by Cable and Satellite providers. The new Monopoly scheme, the so called “Technology Package” $92.00 extra and added as part of the monthly rent; is a SCAM to extort more money from the renters and Suppress Competition, that is a violation of the ANTITRUST Laws. The Scam also puts the tenants at the Risk of Eviction for not paying the fees as part of the rent, not simply discontinue the service if it is directly through a provider. At the renewal of the Lease, the residents will be subject to Unreasonable Rent Increase, in addition to the monthly charges for: (Water, Sewer, Trash and Management Fee! $34.00 - $70.00) and (Technology Package Fee $92.00) and Renters' Liability Coverage. Even though; comparable apartments within the community are offered at a much lower rate to lure innocent newcomers into the TRAP. Taking advantage of the residents' reluctance to move again and pay a new deposit which Camden defines as “Decoration” or “Administration” $500.00 NON-Refundable Deposit, in addition to charging a cleaning fee $85.00 plus other invented fees upon moving out, yet another SCAM. (In all other apartment complexes it is a Refundable cleaning / security Deposit) Lack of Security, Mismanagement and Dishonesty are the trademark of Camden Palisades' Deceptive Business Practices and the corporate culture of “Camden Living “,

Ms

Pretty Large one bedroom apartment. Bedroom closet surprisingly huge. Standard patio and kitchen. Maintenance always responds quickly and when I lost my mailbox keys, not once but Twice, they were nice about it and only charged $5 the second time. Really large swimming pool but I have never used it since it seems to be overcrowded with teenagers every day of the week. Neighbors were nice. Overall a quiet neighborhood, tucked away off the main street and conveniently located behind my favorite grocery store Sprouts!

It's been a good 2 years, hopefully with more to come .

I have lived here for about 2 years, and it has been pretty good so far. Other than some rowdy tenants on a party night it quite peaceful. The staff here is helpful, when something needs fixing they are on top of the situation. Glad I decided to live here.

Camden Palisades is a great place

I moved in May. The place was easy to move in and whenever I have an issue, the staff is quick to help. Maintenance may need a course in being faster. I like the fact I can pay rent online. if you are looking for a place, give it a shot.

When we first moved in the girls in the office were super nice. and they still are at least two of the girls in the office. the first thing that happend was we were suppose to have a different apartment with garden tubs. I was 9 months pregnant with my son when we moved in so I let it go. Thanksgiving I had family over. I heard a weird noise in my hall way. Water was everywhere! I had nothing running in my house and I knew it wasn't because of me. I tried going up to my neighbors house and telling them to shut off there machine and they wouldn't answer the door but I could tell they were looking threw there peep hole.the maintenance guys finally came ripped my carpets up sucked all the waster out and came 2 days later to fix the carpets. My machine smells every time that we use it ever since that happend. We came from a bad apartment before this place it had bugs and lots of violence so it sans a relief to be in a safer area. Well we came home one day and my fiancé was walking the dog and saw the girl that lives across from her door was wide open and she wasn't home. I called it in. Someone had kicked her door in and stole things like lap tops and money. She moved out the next day. So then not even a week later they had a new couple moved in there. They were nice. And they weren't there even a week and someone came and broke into the apartment stole food ,lap tops, money and clothes. They reported it. They went out to get some food one night and came back and I guess the person had broken in again. (We do have alarms in here and they did have there's set.) the person tore the alarm out of the wall and I guess it was still going off and he went into the closet and tore the rest of the system out. So who ever did it knew what they were doing. That couple moved out the next day. And I got pry marks on my door from someone trying to break into my place. I told the office about it and asked how much one of the metal doors would cost to be put up and she goes oh it will be $500 I looked at her and go never mind then. I have a pit at home and I'm pretty sure that is the only reason someone has not broken into my apartment. Because she will bark if someone is at the door. My truck has gotten the tires slashed, other cars in my complex got there's to, I also had it spray painted on my trunk, egged and someone tried slashing them again. Garden guys suck. And they spray poison ALOT.
