Anything broken, gets fixed within 2 days. The neighborhood is quiet and very safe. Apartment staff and manager are even a bigger asset to this complex. They are very friendly and helpful, and will make sure that the tenants are happy!

Very disappointed in management's lack of security at this property. Vehicles have been vandalized, tires removed, and my truck was stolen from the garage during the night throughout my lease. Not all levels of the garage have security cameras installed and I come home seeing the gate frequently locked in the open position, allowing anyone to come in. They also have construction workers who work on another property park in the garage which takes up spots for the visitors. They stated they were going to start having a part-time security officer on sight. So it takes an incident to happen for them to react. For the amount of rent they charge their residents, I expect the security at Ashton to be monitored a lot more. I have heard residents breaking their leases due to the lack of safety/security here. The one item this place has going for is the location/proximity.
ABYSMAL EXPERIENCE- DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE Staff was extremely deceptive, rude and unprofessional. -Especially Isabel, Renee, and Jasmine After touring, I found an available unit I wanted to lease. I went to the office IN PERSON with a check to apply for the unit. Once i started filling out the application- they told me the unit may not be ready by my move in date, even though it was more than 2 weeks out and online the unit said it was available immediately. I asked if i could still apply and she told me not to, but assured me that they would hold the apartment until they found out what date the unit would be available. I came in/called them every day for 5 days straight, to check the status on the apartment and everyday i was brushed off and told that they were still holding it. After the 5th day I received and email saying that unit had been leased. They clearly either lied to me or dropped the ball on what they promised. When i finally got a hold of Renee, she told me she would try to get me another unit for a similair price BUT never returned any of my phone calls and was not able to fulfill her promise even though it was her office that was at fault. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with
The company had no detail in the contract about early termination fees. After contacting them multiple times and getting in writing that the early termination would consist of one month's rent for the 30 day notice and an additional one month's rent for the "termination fee" I paid both at move out. Weeks after I moved out, they contacted me saying that the "termination fee" was actually two month's rent. I disputed this. They have now sent me to collections for this wrongful debt after lying about the termination fee and trying to get more money from me. I can not express enough to everyone looking at this place - STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUILDING.
I lived here for a year and the elevator, garage gate and doors that required you to scan your fob were consistently broken. For my last 3 months of residence the elevator was broken more than half the time. Overall, Ashton on West Dallas is overpriced, the leasing agents are rude and basic amenities are unreliable. I couldn't wait for my lease to end so I could move.
I've had my car towed by the building (their fault - they didn't tell me I needed a parking sticker when I moved in), my nice mountain bike stolen out of the garage (their fault - the garage door was always broken), maintenance is awful, was conned into getting an expensive apartment with a sky line view that is now gone because a building (they 'shock and awe' didn't give me a timeline) is going up across the street. I have seriously never had a Saturday where I didn't hear construction going on at 7 a.m. Despite that my rent has gone up almost $100 bucks a month with a management team that could care less. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Unless you feel like being conned.
Rent is way too high for what you get. The staff is rude and unhelpful. On the weekends, the pool turns into a loud obnoxious drunken Spring Break party. The access gate to the parking garage breaks constantly. My car has been towed from the parking garage twice 'by accident' despite having a resident parking sticker. I can hear my neighbors through the walls so well it seems like they are in the apartment with me. The appliances are cheap and don't work very well. Very few good things I could say about this place. The location is good, but with all the construction and street closures, getting in and out of the complex is a chore. I've lived there for almost a year and will be moving as soon as my lease is up.

Went and took a tour of this community. VERY nice and staff was great! Only reason I didn't sign a lease was because of my commute!
