      Arbors on Duke (via Greystar) is probably the worst leasing experince I had in my entire life.

      Staff is amazing

      In the process of looking for apartments with my twin sister and I have to say Anthony and ebony was beyond amazing. It was busy at the time and they were very professional throughout the process. They successfully handled multiple people at a time I never seen anything like it. Great job. I’m still thinking living here. I just wish it was a little bit bigger square ft wise.

      Infested with mice, terrible management

      I lived here for 2 years and very confused how they have a 5star rating here and all other sites show 2 star rating. Both buildings I lived in were infested with mice and my car was broken into on several occasions.

      Caution Advised: Ongoing Security and Management Issues Persist at Arbors on Duke

      I moved into Arbors on Duke a year ago with optimism, but the reality has been quite disheartening, marred by ongoing issues, a lack of management responsiveness, and significant security concerns. One such concern was a malfunctioning garage door left unattended for months, contributing to the theft of my vehicle. Adding insult to injury, my replacement rental car was towed from my assigned parking spot, for which I pay $100 monthly. Though I was assured reimbursement for the cost of retrieval by the previous management, I'm still waiting for that commitment to be honored, despite multiple follow-ups. With a recent change in management, I had hoped for better handling of these issues; however, their lack of communication and action mirrors the previous team's negligence. Therefore, I urge potential residents to reconsider choosing Arbors on Duke. The ongoing security and management issues continue to persist, despite the change in management. Until I see tangible improvements, I am unable to recommend this property.

      Poor Management and Ignorance of Security Measures at Arbors at Duke

      As a resident of Arbors at Duke, I feel compelled to share my recent experience with the complex's poor management and their ignorance of crucial security measures. My vehicle was stolen from the premises between the night of April 8th and the morning of April 9th, and was later involved in a hit-and-run accident while under someone else's possession. This distressing incident was a direct result of the unresolved security issue in Building A, where the garage door has been left open for over a month. I have communicated my concerns to the leasing office on multiple occasions, but their response has been lackluster and unsatisfactory. The only reassurance I have received is the vague statement, "we are fixing it." To date, no concrete action has been taken to remedy the problem, and the management's negligence has put the safety and well-being of all residents at risk. The apartments themselves are standard, but the limited amenities make living in the complex less enjoyable than one might hope. The lack of attention to security concerns is a significant drawback that potential tenants should be aware of. I hope that my experience serves as a warning for others considering a move to Arbors at Duke. It is crucial for apartment management to prioritize the safety and security of their residents, and in this regard, Arbors at Duke has failed to meet the mark. I am left with no choice but to give the complex a 1-star rating. While the apartments are adequate, the management's negligence in addressing critical security issues and the limited amenities provided cannot be overlooked. My hope is that the management will take this review to heart and implement the necessary measures to ensure the safety of all residents and improve the overall living experience at Arbors at Duke.

      By far THE worst management, cheap renovations, random charges to your portal account that they will make you pay, barely any parking or street parking, packages seem to get stolen daily. AVOID this place!!!!!!

      Moved into an apartment that was NOT move in ready. Staff is unreliable and only interested in making sure they get your business, but that’s it. Maintenance is a nightmare, horrible to deal with. I would be lying if I said I didn’t have regrets on moving into this apartment complex.

      Management is not responsive to issues and do not offer any kind of options/compensations to make up for their shortfalls. The staff try their hardest but at the end of they day its management job to make things right they are unfortunately the ones that have to face the tenants and don't have the power to correct things out of their control; thank God they are at least professional and nice.

      I really like the apartment but the cleaning and upkeep of the building needs to be maintained better. I watched a spot in the elevator which has not been clean or wiped properly . Garage room smells a d not clean daily to prevent roaches and or mixes.

      The actual buildings and units are great- we hadnt seen another apartment with a fireplace which was a big plus for us. The community itself is often noisy, the grounds are dirty and people struggle to adhere to the no smoking policy. Management has room to grow in taking care of their residents. I would recommend living in one of the buildings further away from the main street (B, C or D) as the fire station nearby is LOUD. While it is a dog friendly place, the dog park needs a lot of work as it is just a muddy corner. Hopefully renovations start taking place soon to see some progress.

      Just horrible

      First off, if you see any positive reviews on here, here is what you need to know. The management runs promotional campaigns periodically, enticing residents to post positive reviews in exchange for gift cards. Skip those fake reviews, you want to stay away from this place. Old nasty buildings, everything is falling apart. The leasing office will appear helpful only until you sign the lease, after that you will receive the worst customer service imaginable. You apartment will be filled with marijuana smell several times a day (I have to wear a mask inside my apartment). This place is essentially uninhabitable.

      Gone downhill

      I’ve been a resident for almost 5 years and can’t wait to move. The complex started well but has recently gone downhill with a new management company. They’re unresponsive and inept. The maintenance team is actually the good part of management but I think most of the staff are legacy from the previous company. I’ve complained about the smell of pot in the hallway that permeates into My apartment that has gone unaddressed by management. I also have the worst, loudest neighbors. The quality of the residents has gone downhill since I moved in. It’s a quiet, low key community but I’m sorry to say I’m happy to be moving on and would not recommend this community.

      New Management Aug 2019 Considers Tenants a Burden

      Beware of positive reviews from August 2019 and on. The new management company is compensating residents for positive reviews with rent credits and other means. The management company (JAG management) is awful. The staff consider the residents a burden (even saying so in person) and are unable to resolve issues. A billing issue took over 6 weeks to resolve with contacting them multiple times. Package pickup has been threatened to be restricted to small time windows (which if you work a 9 to 5, good luck picking up a package during the week). Additionally the package pickup room was consistently left unlocked resulting in packages being “lost” or stolen. Parking in the complex is a nightmare as there rarely is sufficient space for residents, let alone guests (who are charged for a parking pass). Amenities are so-so. TL;DR New management only cares about attracting new tenants, does not care about current.

      Lived here under old management - fine KETTLER is terrible

      I've lived here over 2 years. I will be moving when my lease is up (or before if I can). Since the new management took over, we've had even more problems. The manager smiles to your face while he doesn't listen to residents. Their new dog policy has allowed several breeds that aren't supposed to live here to be in the buildings. There are at least 3 pitbulls in my building alone. They've cut way back on pest management so I've now seen huge roaches in the garage and even in the halls of the 2nd and 3rd floor. They're "remodeling" apartments which means loud noise throughout the day while the residents who have been in their apartments get nothing from the increases in rent that are coming. The shuttle's late or not on time and they keep changing it so you can't recognize which is the correct one. Things that break stay broken. Our garage door was left standing wide open for 2 weeks while they ordered a part from somewhere. The back door to my building is broken and no one fixes it. People smoke pot in the staircases and management doesn't care. The place is a dump and I can't wait to move.

      Lovely Place to live with Great Customer Service

      I’m a fairly new resident at The Arbors on Duke and I have no complaints. From the time I filled out the application to now, everything has gone smooth and all the associates were very helpful towards me. This is my very first apartment and I couldn’t have picked a better place to live. It’s clean, in a nice neighborhood, close to almost everything you need, pet friendly, metro accessible w/free shuttle. It’s the perfect place to be. If you decide on The Arbors on Duke you won’t be disappointed!

      Horrible Management

      Kettler is the WORST management company I've ever had to deal with. The employees are nice in person and claim they will work on the issue but it's been TEN DAYS since asking for an application to be processed and basically it's resulted in being lied to by 3-4 employees ("oh it'll be done by tomorrow" "oh our system is just NOW working" despite what I was told previously multiple times, more or less) with no end in sight at this point. WIndsor was a very nice place with great management before Kettler took over.

      Least helpful staff ever

      I would not recommend this complex to anyone. The office staff is unhelpful and copies of the leases are not provided. Very shabby treatment of the military.

      Lived at Windsor for two years. It's everything one looks for in a community. Affordable, great professional, courteous, and friendly leasing office staff.       Great spot

      I've lived at Windsor at Arbors for a few months, and I'm really happy with my decision. The units are nice, and the community holds a lot of events for residents i.e. cook outs, other events. While the building is quiet for the most part, there are times I can hear my upstairs neighbor walking around. Other than that, I've had no complaints.

      Windsor Apartment

      Management team and Maintenance team are always ready to help you when you need assistance. The grounds are kept clean and neat. There are community activities put on by the Management team at lease once a month. There is a free shuttle service to metro station and back that runs Monday - Friday.

      They have mice!!

      I Am not exaggerating...they are infested with mice in the first floor. I highly recommend 2nd, 3rd or 4rth floors. It also helps if u have a cat to keep the mice from entering your apt. Dont do it. I am leaving my apt as soon as my lease is up. I feel like a prisoner in my own apartment. Definitely stay away.

      Spacious 2 Bedroom

      My wife and I moved into a 2 bedroom at the end of July 2015. It is spacious and has a fireplace and balcony, with free firewood in the winter! In addition to the garage parking, there is a pool and fitness center which is open 24 Hours! Very close to Old Town Alexandria and the complex provides a complementary shuttle to the Metro Station just down the road.

      Best location in Alexandria

      If you like living in the suburbs and be close distance to the best cities in Nothern VA and DC, you will like Windsor in Alexandria as much as me. The apartments are a little small but they are comfortable.Windsor offers free schuttle to the metro, 24 hrs fitness room and affordable rent, storage and garage parking options. I feel very safe living there. The neighbors are very respectful. I have lived at Windsor for 2 years and most likely renew my lease.

      Good Apartments

      I've been living at the Windsor for the last 2 years and have just renewed my lease for another year. So far I've had no problems except for the yearly rent hike. It seems a little steep compared to other places I've lived at (about $100 a year). My only other complaint would be the noisiness of the neighbors above me (I live on the second floor). It's not quiet loud enough that my day is disrupted, however loud stomping has woken me up every once in while over my last few years here. Other than that the neighborhood is great, complex staff are extremely pleasant, and the neighbors (in my building at least) have been for the most part courtesies and respectful. I definitely think I could continue living here for a while, as long as rent prices stay within a reasonable rate.

      Great Quiet Apartment Community

      I've lived here for two years, and I've enjoyed the quiet, peaceful community. The buildings are located on Duke street, which is a bit noisy, especially with the fire station close by, but the buildings themselves are set back a bit. You can walk or jog to some great parks (Ben Brenman, etc) and the fantastic London Curry House, but there isn't much in the way of nightlife/other restaurants, although I hear decent things about Shooter Mcgees. There is a 24 hour CVS very close-by, as well as a pizza hut for those nights you don't want to do much of anything (but it's best to walk- parking is very limited there). There is also a great Harris Teeter a few blocks down Duke Street, and multiple Safeways/Giants in the area. Whole Foods is about a 10 minute drive away as well. Because of the location, it's super easy to get on either 395 or 495, so commuting is great, and the metro shuttle runs frequently in the morning and evening. My only complaint is that the washer/dryer can be a bit noisy- you hear others as you walk down the hall as well, but it's not a huge deal. The maintenance staff are SUPER responsive and nice; I've never had to wait more than a day for an issue, and much less time for "emergencies" like a running toilet, etc. The office staff are sweet & friendly- the one down side is that it can be a bit tricky to pick up packages since they're only open till 6 most weekdays, but the weekend hours are reasonable. Overall, it's been a great place to live and I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a well-priced place to commute to the city or around Nova.

      Windsor at arbors

      Windsor at arbors has been our home for going on 3 years. We have enjoyed our stay. Warning is if something breaks they will try to make you pay for it. Carpet wall to wall generic light tan color that shows every single stain and with kids that is a nightmare. Lovely pool, lovely staff, great maintenance!! Another plus are the wonderful community events they put on monthly.
