The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at 7979 Westheimer Apartments
I have a great experience living in 7979 Westheimer Apartments. I love how organized the management team is and how quickly the maintenance requests are being processed. Besides those must-haves, there are lots of community-building events. This is my second year living here. I would love to stay in this community for the next few years!
This is the worst place in the world. This place has roaches infestation. They lied on me when I came and they showed me a model. I asked them about roaches they said no we don’t have roaches inside the apartments. I complained multiple times to the point I brought 2 private pest control companies and they said this place has an infestation we can’t help with that. They kept us without water in Christmas for 3 days. Rats near to the entrance. Don’t move here!!!!!!
Community was good and maintenence issues are taken care immediately. Professional staff. Property is old but maintained it.
Roach infested big time, no matter what and how I describe it, Millions of roaches . You have been warned not to move here! And if you do you will regretted it. The girls at the office are rude!
PROS: Convenient location, minutes away from the Galleria Mall. CONS: very old apts ( need renovation), loud noise from traffic at night, mold, rats, roaches, no parking. And you definitely not getting your deposit back when you move out. If you ignore this review, you will regret after moving in.
Management is unable to keep the lights and water on for extended periods. No visitor parking, they tow residents regularly with the help of paid goons in tow trucks that swarm the lot all day and night harassing tenants.
Not happy if the bugs, nonstop roaches everywhere. So tired of them and nonstop calling for repair inside apartment. I leased for 6 months but never was satisfied Not even cheap.
4 days we dont have water christmas we didnt have any water Yard have too much trash and dirty Management so bad They left 1 day befor christmas their home and compelex doesnt have water Management so bad
One of the worse apartments ever. They lied to us at the beginning showing us only the good parts until we moved into this horrible old rotting apartment that was constantly needing repairing. The people at the leasing office are rude and don’t get me started on the towing in these apartments they love towing cars over here. Parking is hard to find everything is just horrible I wouldn’t advise anyone moving here.
I am writing this because I see some bad reviews. Well, you know pros and cons are there with every apartment complexes, but as a resident we sometimes forget our obligations to keep our premises clean and respect our neighbors. I can say from own experience that the staff are always professional and helpful. Every time I put a maintenance order, it's taken care of at least the same day. The proximity to public transport, restaurants and shopping is so awesome. I always get a positive vibe with 7979 and I love it being a resident.
My 1 year of coexistence in these without deceiving anyone, I would not recommend anyone to rent there, bad administration, they are never in time to solve anything, and for everything you have to pay, but the most abusive is when you leave or when you finish your lease they do everything possible to not return your deposit money, invent all kinds of stories to keep your money, are lousy to use other words.
Moved in to a upgraded unit and i love it. Leasing stuff are professional and friendly.
Staff members are very unprofessional. You can see them eating foods and using phone most of the time when talking to them. I was very surprised to know that their own employees doesn’t know the rent charge. Be careful.... I was offered different amount every time I visited the lease office. It’s like they don’t know what they are doing.Huge problem with the car parking and daily broken cars. Even after reading all this u think u want to stay here.....God bless u.
These are officially the worst apartments in Houston confirmed. Yesterday on August 9, 2018 they cut power off without any prior notice and its been over a day still no electricity while the rest of the Houston has it. In july there was a robbery where the gunman entered some apartment that was answered by a kid. On 24th may 2018, there was a burglary at my apartment when no one was home. The staff is lazy and unprofessional. Parking is a major issue because cars keep getting towed. I'd recommend the future residents to stay away from this place and look for an apartment else where.
I had a break in on 05/24/2018 and nothing was done. No cameras around property. The staff is lazy and unprofessional and the biggest problem is parking. My car got toed twice. They have a contract with the tow company where both parties are mutually benefiting. There's a growing homeless community right next to the apartments. I wouldn't suggest anyone moving here.
7979 Westheimer has been one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. Visitor parking is limited, and the few spots available are consistently filled by the same cars - the assistant manager confirmed my suspicions that these are actually residents who don't want to pay for a parking pass. Water service is often cut off without warning. Maintenance requests have gone ignored without a follow-up call. I've stopped having mail delivered to the complex because of how frequently it's stolen - the management refuses to do anything about it, simply saying "Well it's not our fault". Worst of all us their complete refusal to do anything about the bed bug infestation that found its way into my apartment. Even though it is the landlord's responsibility to deal with pests under Texas Property Code, the office has blamed me for bed bugs being in my apartment, claimed they'd send someone and never did, and otherwise refuse to treat my home. When I turned to a third-party exterminator for relief, they refused to cover or even split the costs of treatment. 7979 Westheimer's management has displayed nothing but greed and contempt towards their residents at every opportunity. Run away from this place!
I moved in December. The pre-moving period was smooth thanks to Liz. She was really helpful and guided is on each step. I would definitely recommend contacting her for dealing with any issues. The 4 stars are because of her. The property itself needs a lot of upgrade and maintenance. I have had some issues in the apartment after moving but thankfully they have been taken care of promptly. So, far, so good. I will keep updating my review as and when required.
The service is horrible, they just cut water for Hours without any prior notice that too on weekends and their emergency support especially Samantha is really rude and rough. There is always either water, drainage or power issues!!! So i don't recommend this to anyone. I have been a resident here for a long time n am now looking to break my lease.
7979 westheimer is the name of the apartment also the address. Close to the galleria area , decent apartment can't complain about then, seen there a little bit old but overall its in good condition.
