Walk to the River, Audubon Park, The Fly or the Universities. This is a recently refreshed unfurnished 1930’s arts and crafts style home with independent bedrooms (not a shotgun) central heat and air + ceiling fans. Open flow living room/dining room is comfortable and spacious. Good closets. Newly repainted. Access to the second floor unit is up a set of stairs. A rare sliver by the river apartment in a well maintained 1930's double with an owner who lives on site in the lower unit (that means invested in the building maintenance!) A great base from which to experience all that is New Orleans. You will find friendly, helpful neighbors. It is a short two blocks from the house to grab a coffee at Starbucks or the nearby PJ’s coffee. Explore Maple street further to sample the vegan dishes at Kindred, brunch at Maple Street café or Satsuma, dine at Jamila’s Tunisian restaurant or the Chill Out Thai, or explore many other possible shopping and eating options on Maple. Also, you will be around the corner from classic NOLA spots near St Charles and Carrollton -- Cooter Brown's, the Daquiri Shop and Camelia Grill. You'll also be walking distance -- or a short streetcar ride up Carrolton -- to Oak Street and the historic Maple Leaf Bar, the Oak wine bar, Vino, Sally’s seafood, Breads on Oak (an award-winning vegan bakery), Jaque Imos, a new Jamaican restaurant, and Aujun Cajun, Blue Cypress books among other Oak Street hotspots.
