One of the hottest neighborhoods in Boston, City Point lies on the tip of the East End, between Pleasure Bay and Telegraph Hill. City Point is part of South Boston -- one of the oldest neighborhoods in the country. The rich architecture and historic sites will surround your City Point apartment. Be sure to visit Four Point Channel -- this is where the Boston Tea Party occurred in 1773.
Downtown Boston is a short three miles north, adding to the appeal of City Point. Another draw is the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade -- a celebration of not only St. Patrick's Day, but also of the Evacuation. During the American Revolution, cannons were set up in Dorchester Heights. The password to cross the continental lines was "St. Patrick." That day, George Washington and the Continental army forced the British to evacuate Boston.
