About 36 Greenough Ave Boston, MA 02130

12 Month Lease, $1,800 deposit, Available Now

Five minute walk to 39 BUS and to the Green Street Station of the Orange Line. Five to fifteen minute walk to everything JP has to offer -- from cross country skiing to art galleries, grocery stores, banks, pharmacies post office and shops, plus a wide selection of restaurants and coffee shops. Last but not least: ten minute walk to all three of the major parks of the Emerald Necklace. And did I mention that our large back yard is like a park itself, with myriad hidden spots to read a book or listen to music

You will find this home near the top of Greenough Avenue -- a gorgeous verdant neighborhood of restored Victorians with well-tended gardens. Walk short two blocks to GREEN LINE and ORANGE LINE. We are a short walk to many great restaurants, bakeries, produce stands, grocery shopping, banks, a post office, as well as the Arnold Arboretum, Jamaica Pond, Franklin Park, art galleries and specialty shops, events at the Loring Greenough House, the public library, and gym, basket ball courts, and the public swimming pool at JP's little city hall. The unit consists of two gracious rooms, linked by a broad arch over two columns. Ten foot ceilings and tall windows facing south and west with view of sunset beyond The Arboretum in distance and the tower of St John's Church at the Civil War Monument down the street. The yard is like a small, carefully landscaped park, with two levels separated by a stunning curving stone wall. A koi pond with water falls is shaded by a 17 year old purple pansy red bud. Elsewhere in the yard you will find a giant yellow magnolia, seven fruit bearing trees (two peach trees, a pear, a persimmon, three apples), as well as blueberry, black berry and raspberry bushes, and a pergola covered in three different varieties of grapes. There are many places to hide out with a book in the yard. Two patios have WIFI signal so you can work outside if you like. Back inside the house, your unit has a built-in convenience kitchen with a microwave, induction hot plate, under counter refrigerator, deep sink set in granite counter top. Porcelain tile bath has double headed shower and brass fixtures. One resident only. No couples. Heat, water, and electricity are included.
