The reasonable proximity to Houston and George Bush Intercontinental Airport makes Magnolia an appealing rental option for commuters, and fifteen colleges and universities lie within an hour’s drive as well. In the fall, Magnolia sees many out-of-town travelers passing through on their way to the nearby Texas Renaissance Festival, a huge affair held just six miles up the road from downtown.
