In 1894, Riverview Park Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska opened. The park was renamed in 1963, when Margaret Hitchcock Doorly made a large donation to the zoo with the stipulation that it be renamed for her late husband, Henry Doorly. The neighborhood of Woodland Hills is located in the Riverview area, bordered by the Missouri River to the west and Henry Doorly Zoo and I-80 to the south.
Apartments in the Woodland Hills section of Omaha provide fast access to the casinos next door in Council Bluffs, Iowa; it is also home to Lauritzen Gardens/Kenefick Park. With 100 acres of botanical gardens, a café, and a gift shop to explore, this park provides a beautiful backyard. Between the botanical gardens, the river, and the zoo, you may forget that you're only five miles from Downtown Omaha.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
