This has been the worse place I have ever lived! Zero security, my TAHOE WAS STOLEN FROM THE GARAGE after all the car break ins. They complex Air BNB the place out so random people have access to property and parking garage. Which has ZERO security cameras or officers. Litter always in the garage. No insulation of window and can hear cars driving in a rain puddle. Place is TERRIBLE

Great location and friendly staff. The staff is very responsive and helped answer all my questions prior to submitting an application. The leasing agent was very helpful in the moving process. Overall, the apartment offers great amenities and parking is never an issue. I have a full size truck and no issues at all.
Do not move here. The worse apartments in America. They break in your cars, and it gets brushed off. My vehicles were broke into 3x within a month. They do not want you to use the handicap parking although you have a handicap parking tag. Maintenance dont complete your service request but emails you that its completed. Neighbors put trash in front your door, and management claims the cameras dont work to see which neighbor it was. Air bnb rents out units at the complex and they are very loud to where you can not sleep. There is no security. The key fobs doesnt work, anyone can just walk in and use the elevators. The elevator by the office takes at least 5 minutes to come. The people who picks up your trash is very inconsistent. Ive lived in multiple downtown high rises and this is by far the worst. I wish someone would have warned me.

This is a horrible place to live. Noise, trash, lack of communication from office staff when you have questions. Constant road construction, leaving work unfinished preventing me from being able to sleep at night. The property is Air BNB rented out, no parking on weekends. Random people coming onto property constantly asking questions and needing help in and out of building and parking. Litter in the garage and cigarette smoke in the hallways that constantly smell like trash

When I walked into the leasing office at 1711 Caroline, my spirits were really low. I was at the end of a very long day of apartment viewing downtown and was let down at every turn. I honestly came in thinking that I would get the tour over with and move on so I could at least say I gave it a shot. But I was expecting something to let me down like all of the other places. I was also not loving the idea of a 'studio'. From the time I walked in, I was greeted by a very polite staff member who was not pushy at all. She sensed that I was sort of tired of looking around and I appreciated that. I got a tour of the property and was very impressed, still waiting on the fine print that would eventually let me down, but that didn't happen. I then got a tour of the studio layout and was extremely impressed. What I envisioned as a studio was not at all what 1711 Caroline provided. I was shown a very trendy studio-style 1 bedroom that I fell in love with. They had great promotions and I wasn't pushed to do anything. I'm glad I made the choice to move here.

I absolutely love living here. I have lived downtown for 3 years and I'm pretty certain I've toured every apartment building in the downtown area (midtown too - but I prefer downtown) and I'm convinced that this is the best value. There are certain things I'm very particular about and it seems that I have it here and at a hard to beat rate. Pros- Parking: Always easy to find a space, ample parking for my guests, well lit Elevators: Having 3 (relatively fast) elevators is THE BEST. One takes a bit longer than the other two but it's not bad. 2/3 are super fast. I never have to wait more than 30 seconds when using the back elevators. Service: Maintenance staff is fast, great communication. Office staff changed soon after I moved in, they are always friendly and accommodating when I need anything! I'm not always the easiest to please but Ashley and Jose treat me like family. This is probably the biggest factor in living here that I love. Style/design or finishes: Huge closets with wooden shelves ( a must for my heels). insanely high ceilings, little touches throughout like the location of the towel hanger, the modern ceiling fans, the cabinet color... LOVE the interiors here! So tired of all white or all dark cabinets, these are a warm neutral that goes with any color scheme. Cons - They used to have a lot of free snacks out like chips and candy bars, this was free to everyone but it has been reduced to water bottles, mints, hershey kisses and doggie treats. I'm sure it was pricey to provide those things, but I wish they would do a little convenience store type set up like i've seen at other places and charge for those items. I wouldn't mind paying, the accessibility was nice. Air BNB has become more and more prevalent in apartments these days, it seems like every apartment building I toured has some form of short term rentals like Air BNB or Stay Alfred. This is hasn't been a huge problem, just something new that I"m not used to seeing. There are a lot of people in and out who look lost, so I have directed a few. They are always cordial if not friendly so it hasn' t been a major drawback. All in all, I love my choice and I highly recommend .

Great living space ( all hardwood floors - no carpets), exellent kitchen with lots of shelf space. New appliances . Excellent Gym. Drive to downtown groceries and restaurants in 15 mins. Walk to Metra train.

I just moved in and I already feel comfortably at home. The complex is beautifully done, and my apartment is perfect. I'm excited to be living here, and I'm thankful to have found 1711 Caroline.

1711 Caroline Apartments is very convenient because it takes me 10-15 minutes walking to my office. Also very beautiful, new and meets all my expectations. The management/staff are wonderful people and the community is very clean at all times. Most beautiful/peaceful place to live in downtown.

I love living at 1711 Caroline! This was my first experience in renting an apartment and I was paying attention to everything so that I would not get duped - which is definitely NOT a concern 1711 Caroline. First, when I was signing my lease, the assistant manager, Blaine, was very pleasant and not pushy. He was more knowledgeable of the building than I ever expected. While in the act of signing, their entire team stood, up, shook my hand, and welcomed me home - what a great start!
