The apartment is large and comfortable, with a queen bed in the bedroom, and two sofa-beds in the living room. It can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people, and the bathroom is accessible from both the living room and the bedroom. Thanks to the garden and the surrounding shrubbery, it is very quiet, and you will get a great night's sleep. Tenants have full access to the garden, which is shared with me (the landlord). Entrance to the apartment is via a separate, private couple of doors. The kitchen has a microwave, electric hot plate, coffee maker, water boiler, and complete dishware and utensils, but no oven or dishwasher. Mount Pleasant, Washington's "village in the city", has both a vibrant, diverse street life, and a peaceful, beautifully green residential area. Our house is right at the intersection of these two areas, and is a few steps from Lamont Park, which on Saturdays hosts a bustling farmers' market. The apartment is a short walk from the National Zoo and Rock Creek Park, one of DC's most picturesque places to walk, bike, picnic, run, and hike. Transportation: the 42 and 43 buses, to downtown via Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle, stop right outside our doorstep. The H8, to Brookland/CUA, stops across Lamont Park, a block away. The Columbia Heights metro station, on the Green and Yellow lines, is a few minutes' walk away, on 14th and Irving. There is also a Capital Bikeshare station less than a block from the apartment.
