Property Ratings at 1170 N Logan
My apartment was filthy when I moved in. The walls are scratched and dirty, with hooks still hanging from the previous tenant. The shower didn't work, the bathroom sink doesn't drain well. My windows don't open. Half of the outlets don't work. Mice have been a problem for the entire building. It's sweltering in Denver, and my air conditioning blows hot air. The main office is slow to respond and prefers band-aids to actual solutions. They threatened to evict me, in the middle of the pandemic, because I was a day late on paying rent. It was an honest mistake - I didn't realize rent was due on the 3rd, not the 5th. No email, no message, just a letter from their lawyer taped to my door. Parking is a nightmare. The back alley door is often broken and unlocked, packages are routinely stolen; I have mine delivered to my girlfriend's apartment. It's cheap by Denver standards, but by any objective measure, you'll overpay for this place.
This was my first apartment when moving to Denver. I quickly regretted my decision to move into this complex. The building is very old with tons of plumbing and heat issues. My tub was clogged majority of my time living in the unit with little support from maintenance. The old radiator heater would ONLY heat on high... in winter months my apartment was a sauna with heater on and frigid without it on. Windows poorly insulated and old, so I could hear everything from the street. Kitchen is very small with no dishwasher and a tiny sink. Loud noises constantly from neighbors due to poorly insulated walls and floors/ceilings. Street parking is awful in Capitol Hill and would drive around for 30-45min looking for a spot sometimes 6-10 blocks from apartment complex. Overall, very poor experience. Look elsewhere.
This building has bed bugs!!!!! They never answer the phone. Water is brown! Heat is on one setting! Save your self the trouble and stay away from this place!
Property Manager at 1170 N Logan, Responded To This Review
We are disappointed to hear of your recent experience and would like to do everything we can to make it right. Can you please email me directly at clucero@mylocalapt.com so that we can ensure these issues are resolved? I look forward to your email. Thank you.
The rent rate is ridiculous for how old this building is. The carpet in my apartment wasn't even steam cleaned before I moved in, there are cracks in the ceiling near pipes, the heat in the building is hardly ever properly adjusted, and the pipes knock, and there is nothing they can do about that since every resident would have to be home when they turn off the water and have everyone open the faucets before turning it back on. Highly annoying building, avoid moving here. There are apartments a bit further southeast of this area that are bigger and cheaper, or at least cheaper.
Can I schedule maintenance requests? No, we only show up unannounced when you're in bed. Can I at least get a heads up on when you're coming? No. Can I control the heat? No ,the building has one setting and it's 100 degrees. Is there anything nice about this place? No.
