Greg, our maintenance tech. does an awesome job following up on work orders in a timely manner, and is both courteous & friendly.

All in all, just the space and amenities that I was looking for myself, my dogs, amenities, and EV charging stations. Near golf course, health club, and in West Seattle

Living at Youngstown is so great! A warm, welcoming and friendly staff and community. The apartment homes are spacious and nice. The location for hitting the junction, the beach and downtown couldn’t be more convenient.

The team here are amazing. They always make me feel welcomed and are very helpful. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and close to the freeway for quick access downtown. The rooftop views are pretty spectacular of the water and the downtown skyline. The apartment itself is very spacious with a lot of natural light. Very happy here.

I just moved into the Youngstown Flats and am extremely satisfied with the whole process from beginning to end. The management is awesome and are respectful and attentive and patient with me. I love the lobby. it really feels like I'm coming into a clean and safe environment there is an atmosphere of respect and the location is so much better than all the other apartments I looked at.

Youngstown is a great place to live. Move in process was smooth and the management/office team is very responsive. The one or two maintenance requests I have put in have been promptly resolved with no issue!

Do not move here. Maintenance team is great. Manager and regional manager are passive aggressive and see residents as dollar signs. They don’t care about us or our safety. Find a better place for a similar price.

The people in the office are extremely helpful and courteous, and also make you feel welcome.

Youngstown Flats is comfortable and convenient access to West Seattle Bridge, as well as public transportation.

Youngstown Flats is a great place to live.Most if not alltenanats are courteous and quiet, but there's always a few "rotten apples" no matter which apartment you live a but they never bother met. The office staff here is very friendly and helpful to my needs and are always available if I ever need to discuss an issue with them.

The leasing office is always very helpful and welcoming. The have dog treats for the dogs and coffee for residents in the lobby. There are monthly events as well so you can meet some of your neighbors and get to know other people. The location is close to the freeway to make it easy to get downtown. Recommend!

I really like the current management, maintenance and custodial crew here. They are friendly, helpful and have made a lot of effort in the last year to improve the cleanliness and security of the building, and they put on fun community events. The units are nice, and the location is great for getting in and out of West Seattle being so close to the bridge.

The staff here is very friendly and makes me feel welcome as a resident here. They are also attentive to any maintenance requests that I have.

The management here is excellent. The maintenance crew is fabulous! I moved here in October of 2022, and I haven't had any problems so far.

A wonderful place to live. This is a real community and the staff are warm and professional and willing to listen to resident concerns. I have live her for 8 years.

Even since Greystar took over the building, everything has been moving a lot smoother and positive changes has been made. It's pretty premium rate to live here, but it is nice to see my rent money actually making improvements to the building instead of some sink hole pocket of the owner.

Absolutely baautiful complex in a nice area, children’s school is close as well as parks and stores for your convenience. Friendly staff willing to help and answer all your questions.

The staff that came after Thrive left, had many problems to deal with. Thida, James, and Joe were great, they really turned this place around. I live on the sixth floor, close to the rooftop, when Thrive was here parties went on until the wee hours of the morning. When Thida came, the rooftop room,was close at 10 pm. All the sixth floor tenants are truely grateful. The landscape is regularly maintained.The person that keeps our halls clean is excellent. I can’t thank all these people enough, for everything they do.

Praise to Graystar, they are working hard to make Youngstown Flats, a great place to live.

Youngtown Flats is on a convenient area with access to the bus and grocery store. It isn't as well maintained as I would like. The quality dipped in the past 2 years I've been here, but I don't think it is Grey Star's fault. I'm excited to see the new company's approach to this location and hopefully I will see the results of their effort before I decide to move somewhere else.

I’ve enjoyed my living experience as a resident of Youngstown Flats for over 8 years now. The apartment’s layout is exceptional and I love the interior features and style of the whole complex. The location of this property is ideal as well. I receive lots of compliments from family and friends, especially when I take them up to the roof top.

They don’t have a package locker. USPS won’t bring packages so you get to go pick everything up. It’s the same with Fedex, but their facility is across town. Ups just abandons boxes on the mailroom floor. There are loads of other problems, but it’s the first place, I’ve had a problem just getting the mail.

EV charging infrastructure is badly maintained, The manager/ staff doesn't manage or communicate at all( we ve made multiple requests and attempts) about how to share the two 30KW (level 1/ancient) chargers among more than 5 EV owners. It's been 2 years since we moved in and from day one we were requesting management to install more EV chargers, all they do is make false promises and blame it on management at later dates. Front desk is a joke, they try to abscond to come up with solution in every possible way. I am writing this review after trying to solve /communicate this issue more than 10 times in last year.

If you're okay with lots of noise Youngstown flats might be fine for you. I lived in a 2 bedroom here for over a year and noise is always an issue. You will hear when your neighbor opens a drawer, if someone walks down the hall, in the summer you will hear everyone's... conversations because the apartments get hot and you will need to keep your windows open. There was a water leak one month and the management entered my unit without warning even though the water wasn't near my apartment. Management has been not great since Thrive took over. It's very dog friendly, but that usually means you will encounter dog pee in the halls, elevator, or stairwell. The parking garages are broken into a few times a year. The location is pretty awesome, but if you plan on taking the bus be aware that you are nearest the last stop into downtown Seattle and sometimes buses will be too full to pick you up.

No luck just stopping by to tour, no one was ever in the leasing office, but attempted via email and calls all this week asking to make appt for this Saturday to see 2 bed/2 bath. It’s late Friday afternoon and still no call or email. I go onto website and now no floor plans available to lease. Now I know why they didn’t bother to return emails or calls. They were leased out and didn’t want to deal with me. I read previous reviews of terrible staff. This was a blessing in disguise.

We live in a 1 bed / 1.5 bath with a study. The floor plan is fine, the view is nice, and the cost is tolerable considering hosing costs in Seattle. However, none of this compensates for the consistent gross mismanagement of the property. - Cleaning of the common areas is not done frequently enough leaving most of the hallways and stairwells smelling like pet excrement. - Parking is not included despite ample street-side parking and a high volume of empty spaces. - Common area reservation and usage was free when we started our lease, and became a payed/fee based amenity several months later. But the cake goes to the constant failure to maintain their own service/rental records. We signed the lease during a promotion that included 1 free parking spot for the lease term of 1 year. In the months that have followed, my partner and I have had to call or visit management during their office hours 5 different times to contest monthly parking charges. This is ridiculous, and an incredible waste of our time having to micromanage backdoor fees to our cost of living. Plenty of new properties are being built in West Seattle, the quick access to the bridge does not make up for the constant headache having to double check the work of property management. We will not be renewing our lease, and I strongly advise anyone to avoid this property at all costs, it looks like an amenity rich property that cut a few corners for cost, but the constant issues that followed during our lease period eliminated any of the cost saving from the rental cost. Find another place to live.

My husband and I (and our dog) have lived here for one year and will be renting for another year. We rent a ground floor studio unit, and have an entrance directly off the sidewalk. The semi-private entrance is the biggest factor in us staying another year. And we have AC, unlike most of the building. The building is relatively new and has a nice, urban chic design in the public spaces. As an Interior Designer, I personally think the amenities in the apartments are low quality (cheap appliances, cheap doors, cheap cabinets, cheap hardware, cheap plumbing fixtures) and not worth the premium in rent. Some great amenities are the rooftop deck and party room, and for us, the dog wash station and dog run. As more and more people move into the building, street parking is becoming more scarce, but u typically can find a spot near the building unless it's Sunday evening- at which time you better not move your car. Building staff are super helpful and always willing to help out. There are very nice people living in the building and, in general, it's a nice place to live.
