Woodshire Apartments

Still love the apartment, but maintenance continues to be a problem. They have still not replaced the fan motor on the refrigerator, even though I have put in a maintenance request, emailed the property manager and called the maintenance line. It has been a month. Luckily the refrigerator works, it’s just loud!

Overall I love my apartment I love the location I even love being on the first floor but there are things that need to be rectified to continuously be able to say that this was a smooth move in

Not satisfied I pay rent on time but when I need Maintenance I have to ask over and over for someone to come and adjust what needs to be taken care of.

Very smooth just a little confused with adding roomates and the application process, still waiting on replies on some emails, very nice area excited to move here and settle in

Great location safe community. Maintenance getting better. Been here over 15 years love living in this community. Close to town center and beaches.

My move and date is upcoming so I don't have a review as of yet. But once moving in I will definitely come back to make a review I look forward to new possibilities and new relationships with great woodshire apartments

Great living area. Close to schools, shopping beach. Nice quiet neighborhood. Lived here over 15 years and there are minor issues. Maintenance needs to be quicker.

Worst place to live at they don’t do anything or fix anything but always want there rent money on time you can email them all the time and call them but they don’t respond

I have had several issues with the property from putting in maintenance tickets and not having anything done for months. I still currently have a work order open from September. Also they lost one of my payments and 6 months later added to my rent with out any notification. I contacted my bank and they never received the check for payment. I still haven't received any notification of an outcome. The rent is a lie. They state one price and over charge you for everything. When you try to reach out about anything you never get any responses. We will not be renewing our lease

Everything is getting better. Great neighborhood, close to schools , shopping, restraunts, beaches and interstate. Staff is friendly. Love living here.

Every one is super nice and friendly !! They all have great attitudes and go above and beyond to help their residents! I needed to find a place asap and they helped me get in right away !!

From start to finish everything was smooth friendly staff and maintenance., I truly appreciate the experience i very pleased i choose this apartment community.

I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. In my opinion tear them down and try again. Maintenance is awful never wants to fix anything unless I threaten a lawyer. The ladies in the leasing office are just down right rude and don’t care about anyone but themselves. I guarantee you her apartment is in top condition.

I have lived here for a while and we love this place. But when there are maintenance issues it gives me high anxiety. Repairs have gone over three and four months and no one comes to fix the issue. Hope things get better.

This place is falling apart fast! Between the total lack of maintainence , people in the office who dont care and the rats, We will be moving out!

Maintenance can do better and so can the people in the leasing office by answering the phone and emails my neighbor upstairs is too loud the people in the leasing office don’t care

The experience has been great! Looking forward to working with the new staff. Would be nice if they answer the phone from time to time and greet people when they come in the office.

I love the layout of the apartment. When I moved in it was pretty dirty and I had to spend a lot of time cleaning. Maintenance has been very quick in responding so far - no complaints there. The office staff is nice but they don’t do what they promise they’ll do. I have had to ask multiple times for a new, corrected lease and still don’t have it. Hopefully I can give a better review of the office soon.

I’m a firm believer of “Know before you rent”. I’ve been renting with Woodshire since early 2020 and it has its ups and downs. They are one of the cheaper-ish places in the area and are in a great location, but like all rentals there are quite a few things to watch out for. • Maintenance: Poor and high turnover. Months to get help and they do not always let you know they have been in your apartment. Get a camera!!! Lastly, they do not clean up after themselves. Expect to have to clean up after them. • Pest Control: Poorly run here, so many roaches and other critters. • Front Office staff: A lot of turnover can’t really speak on the new bunch. • Communication o They use text messaging and email for updates of utility shut off to units, upcoming apartment wide exterior maintenance/closure updates, and it appears they are slowly adding more social events back to the calendar. o DOCUMENT EVERY INTERACTION!!!! • Hidden fees (all non-negotiable): o Two different trash fees-one for valet and the general trash expenses. Approximately $63 monthly. o Conservice-used to bill for utilities $5.50 monthly o Pest Control approximately $5 monthly o New since Greystar took over- Common Space Electricity Fee; approximately $4 monthly. You still have your own personal electricity bill for your own unit. • Extras: o Dog Park-Gross--clean up before you let your dog loose o Gym was closed from July-October 2024. o Pool closed July 16 and re-opened in August 9. Was closed nearly all of 2023 season as well for maintenance issues. o In unit Washer/Dryers: does not vent outside of unit. I won’t say don’t rent here, but I will say be cautious and do not expect luxury. TIll my next update/review; hopefully with some positives. Thank you for listening!

Good and quiet neighborhood close to everything including malls, schools and stores. Office staff has been helpful but maintenance is slow wish they would respond quicker.

The maintenance workers are very fast in getting things fixed in the apartment. They are also very friendly and courteous. If there is an emergency, they are very good in getting to our apartment quickly and fixing whatever is wrong.

No complaints. Maintenance staff has improved immensely in the past year and the leasing office stability has definitely helped recreate the image for the community.

I love how nice the apartments are and I love how friendly everyone is here! I love living here! Everyone has been so welcoming since my husband and I have moved here.

Been here over ten years great neighborhood and location. Maintenance needs to be quicker on response times. Things over time have gotten a little better.

They don’t fix anything in a timely manner you be waiting months before they do they don’t answer phones or emails I would not recommend moving here

Friendly neighbors and neighborhood. It's hard to find a place to live that doesn't have issues. I get peace of mind. I would highly recommend it.

Almost a month no AC on my unit, carpet smells from when toilet leaked, unit gave leaking water all over carpet in dining area, and finding mold in master bathroom that doesn’t work. Don’t move here will never get anything fixed. Staff and maintenance both sucks! Would give zero stars if I could!

I have nothing good to say about woodshire besides the guy who handles the leases in the front. Other than that this place has been horrible. I am debating calling a lawyer to take a lawsuit against woodshire. I haven’t had AC in 11 months. It’s ridiculous

Living in Woodshire is quiet, there are also many places nearby that give you the ease of getting things without having to run a long distance, I would change the fact that the maintenance staff, although they are very friendly, they don't really fix things for you, they leave everything halfway.

Woodshire gets an A for effort but an F for execution. Get the wallet out and spend some money on your residents. Not having a working AC unit is grounds to terminate a lease. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. 0 out of 5 stars.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone in the office for anything, because they close early or just don’t show up. No one answers the phone, answers emails, and especially no call backs. I honestly don’t know why they even have a leasing office if it’s never open? When I’m finally able to talk to someone; they are rude, short, and just don’t care what you have to say. It’s almost like actually doing their job is too much work for them to handle. Absolutely do NOT recommend this place.

My experience has been great so far. The property manager Ray, has been very helpful and made the move in process very simple and stress free. I would recommend this property to my family and friends.

It is a quiet safe apartment complex with friendly neighbors , office staff, and maintenance staff and lovely green space.

Do not move here! The people in the office are very rude. There is mold in my apartment, my AC does not work and my hot water goes out every other week. With all these problems going on, there has not been apologies from management or any credits given… Absolutely nothing. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

As a new resident that moved in less than a month ago I have to say it is a terrible experience and I wish I had chosen another apartment community.

Would not recommend moving here me and my husband thought we would love it here but it’s been a month since they haven’t fixed any of our maintenance issues with the was machine not working making it our major issue since we have to go to a laundromat and waste money the people in the office don’t answer the phones or email back

Maintenance service is horrible, the front staff is as well. I have submitted multiple maintenance request as well as pics with zero response. The only time I received any assistance is when I put in for an emergency. The maintenance man had a very bad attitude when he conducted the maintenance. On the 19th when they did the inspection they banged on my door. As I was walking towards the door I could hear the maintenance man complaining about residents stating that we always complaining about the maintenance, and when they show up we are never here. I don’t appreciate that at all. My lease is up in Mar of 2024 I can’t wait to move out and never look back.

I am so pleased with the service I have received so far. The manager reached out to me prior to my move in to tell me that she didnt LOVE the unit and wanted more time to make it right, she explained that she understood the importance of not being able to get back a poor first impression and I appreciated her letting me know. I told her that I really couldnt push back my date so whatever wasn't done, they could just take care of after I moved in. However to my surprise the place was imaculate. Very Clean, new flooring and I do not see anything needing to be taken care of. I do LOVE the place. Thank you Ms Sara for taking the time to be sure the apartment would feel like home for me.

I’d recommend a tent in the woods before I recommended Woodshire apartments. At least no one will lie to you in the woods like the staff does here.

Terrible place to live. maintenance tickets left unattended for months, the management does not care about the residents, and forget the regional even responding to emails or calls! no one to turn to! giant cockroaches surrounding the walkways and entryways to your home because of poor pest control (only comes every other week and DOES NOT spray) my apartment ac has been messed up for over a month, dishwashers been flooding kitchen when we use the sink for 2 or 3 months, no ones even checked on those tickets. the list goes on. run the other way.

Well maintained, spacious apartments. Responsive, professional and welcoming leasing team. Quiet, dog friendly community.

Not happy. Greenbrier Management had control over the property, Greystar is not managing Woodshire well.

From start to finish, the staff was helpful, well informed and easy to work with. We received what we were promised, sooner than promised, and in good order - as promised. We continue to refer to the woodshire app as well as face to face with office staff for information and general curiosities.

units do not look as advertised online. the unit was dirty and nearly falling apart. minor repairs could have been made to prepare for the next tenant but was not done.

If you live in a non-renovated unit, there will be a lot wrong with the apartment. The maintenance team rarely ever comes to fix what needs to be fixed. The location is great and the apartment size is pretty good for the price. Would not live here again but not the worst around.

It’s a quiet community that’s in a great location of Virginia Beach. I’m literally within a mile of everything including the interstate which is perfect since I work in Norfolk.

Don’t live here. Maintenance is absolutely horrific.
