Palms on Westheimer Apartments

They renovated the apartments but the exterior is all trash

Long review, but all you need is the 1st paragraph! My lease here is about to end and I'm so glad. I do not recommend anyone move here. If it's your last option, go somewhere else. The complex is disgusting. Trash, glass, dog poop, cat urine, months old vomit in hallways and horrible landscaping(lack of). The laundry mats are awful. About half the washers don't work. And same for the dryers. And I suggest you don't leave clothes unattended, because they will be stolen. The gate at the front is a joke. They let anyone in and sometimes the gate is just left open. My apt has water damage, roaches and mice. No matter how clean and how often pest control comes(only every Tuesday per request) it never ends. The people in the office are friendly. The manager is very helpful and seems to want to really help the complex. But there is so much. Maintenance will come somewhat readily. But when the need to fix anything, they don't actually fix the problem. They just fix the problem temporarily. I've had my air conditioner breaks several times.(manager was very helpful) Shower going between scalding and freezing cold. Cabinets fall off. Drawers that come off track. Doors that break at the hinges. All these problems calling maintenance several times to actually address the issue and not put a band aid on it. On TOP of all this. There are frequent gunshots heard. Loud yelling, music, fireworks even and obvious drug dealing. There was even an attempted kidnapping(not sure of details but we received a letter from apts). There used to be homeless people that would wonder up into the apartments but we now have cops and security guards every so often. Happy Apartment Hunting! I'm doing the same! UPDATE. Ac broke AGAIN and now the water is coming out brown in my sinks...

I moved in in June 2016. The staff are the best. They go above and beyond my expectations. The gym is great, I've really been able to get in shape using it. The property is well maintained. The apartments are quiet. Great neighborhood to live in.

- I have lived in these apartments for a year because the contract obligates me and I do not want anyone else to commit the same mistake. I just do not recommend it. The administration is terrible, the girls treat you well when you go to rent but once the contract is done, there is no kind of consideration for the client. They laugh at you when leaving the office, when you are going to make a claim (the manager supports them). the electric light goes away for days without having an answer, with the water the same happens (I do not exaggerate about that). Your packages are lost once you leave the mail in the office and no one is responsible and they charge you for services that are not provided or that they provide poorly. It just killed my stay here.

Moving here was the worst mistake ever.. twists and turns of poorly lit alley ways, roach infestations, very poorly maintained property, light out in courtyards and around building, security is a joke. Save your money, save urself, this place is horrible

This is absolutely the worst place I have ever lived. The property manager lies to tenants. There have been 2 fires since I have been here. 1 they tried to cover up. I would not recommend this place to anyone

My apartment complex just got new management about a Month ago and they have done so much and you see so much being done in the future. Im excited for the future of the Palms on Westheimer glad I decided to stay here. After reading hundreds of reviews both good and bad Only you can make the decision and I'm glad I did. Great amenities with near by restaurants, entertainment and shopping

I moved into my new apt. on Sept. 1 2015. I have new carpet, new appliances, & new floor. Its such a comfortable place to live in, it's my first apt. I just love it. Three pools to swim in & the location is perfect, clost to my work & shopping.

I just moved in on 8/1/15, the apartment is very large with upgraded amenities. Only a few minutes away from Galleria Mall, 610 Highway and Beltway so it's a very good location. Very easy to find food at night, lot's of restaurants and clubs in the area too. This apartments has 5 swimming pools, 24 hours gym and business center. Security guard always stand by at the entry gate and very specious parking area with 3 parking deck. It a perfect place to live if you work in the Galleria Area. Friendly staff with 24 hours emergency maintenance call. Love it here!

I've lived at Palms on Westheimer for about 3 months now and I'm fairly pleased. I have a 2 bed 1 bath, without washer dryer connections. The new management is currently renovating and the looks of the place are improving. The rent includes pest control so I have not had problems with any bugs since we've moved in. There is a laundry room with several machines and it's usually not a problem to get things washed on the weekend. Management usually solves our problems pretty quickly. The outside community isn't beautiful, but the apartments inside are pretty nice. For what we pay for rent, which are great prices, I am happy to live here.

I moved in my 1 bedroom apt. in August 2015. It is my 1st apt. I really like it so far. It has lots of closet space & new appliances. A patio for my kitten to be outside. Its a really updated apt. The office staff is amazing.

Managment sucks!!!!!!! The building is older and they are working to make it better. I can be understanding about the noise. Also they left a note to remove everything from my patio so nothing gets broken and I appreciate the warning but for me to come outside to see tree branches not little sticks full branches on top of my BRAND NEW CAR is unacceptable and for the management (Nancy) to tell me well we sent out a letter. No. You said to remove stuff from the patio not remove your car from the parking lot. I would never recommend anyone to live here they clearly do not care.

Houston !!! Home to the Houston Rockets, a wide diversity of cultures & food tastes, a cradle of energy technology management, and a fantastic network of highways that allows Houstonians to get around fairly quickly. I love this amazing city for the reasons mentioned above but mostly because of its world class apartments. Following my first corporate job, I knew I needed to move into an apartment that would reflect my fondness for this city modern architectural design, thus allowing me to be part of the city thriving real estate landscape. I greatly enjoy the scenery of this city, watching sunset & sunrise from apartment windows.

Oldish Apartment Buildings. a little run down and do more patchwork then fixing. Great location. Had a roach problem when I moved in. I dont think their pest control is as effective as it should be. Parking a little crazy. Recently had a new Management company take over and cant say much about them yet. Its an okay place to live. Great location with good rates for the area.

These apartments are awful. The ceiling is leaking, maintenance takes forever and never finished the job. The floors are slanted, there's not enough lighting. Rent is almost 900 a month for a one bedroom now. Everyone is always walking around, security checks the same people over and over and leaves a huge line to get inside. Annoying

My reason for moving here was the location - I think it's great. It's really close to the Houston Galleria Mall, which is one of the best shopping experience, you can have, plus it's close to downtown. They have 2 pools, the main one is really nice with cabanas surrounding the pool - which is great for this texas heat. I have to say that without the first two things I mentioned, the best attribute of this complex is the security - they have guards at the gate 24 hours and if you don't have a sticker on your car, you're not getting in, without being identified.

Amazing place to live for a reasonable price . The pool is like something you go to a hotel to swim at . Very nice help in the office . Very spacious rooms with all black new appliances . While still in a beautiful location minute away from the Galleria .

Horrible, Horrible, HORRIBLE! employee's wasted so much of my time and very inconsiderate about it. Manager had no concern for it either

Located directly off of Westheimer Road near the Galleria, it is in the middle of everything. When I first moved in, the management company was in the middle of making some major changes and upgrades. However a n new management company just took over and has been making some major changes to the landscape, structurally repairing the buildings and re-painting them. I can't wait to see what other changes come about. The office staff is incredibly friendly, there are numerous pools on the property, and they are pet friendly! Since it is located near the Galleria area, there are tons of restaurants and shopping nearby; all within walking distance!

The galleria mall and other well known places are right by this apartment complex, so it is convenient but it lacks within its infrastructure. The management can use some sprucing up, and actually deal with issues. Large main pool with 4 other smaller pools around and a quaint gym. Very easy to access since it is right off of Westheimer so plenty of metro busses pass by and it is an up and coming part of the city.
