The quaint neighborhood of Love Field takes its name from the Dallas Love Field Airport, the largest attraction and amenity in the neighborhood. Leasing Office staff is nice. Seems like coffee machine is regularly out of order. Nobody seems to use the pool or any communal spaces other than the gym. Inconvenient set up for garage use only being available if you have Toll Tag, as a resident it should be simple with a remote. Motorcycle parking should be available, instead of 1 bike taking up entire parking stalls. Walls are thin, neighbors above are clearly working on their rap dance routine. Other than that, seems fine so far…

My move-in felt a bit rushed and not well prepared. I moved in based on a virtual tour but an in-person tour was not asked when I arrived. The layout was very challenging to navigate.

We’ve been living here since the start of COVID, and we absolutely love it. The community is friendly, and we’ve been lucky to have great neighbors. It’s felt like home from the very beginning. Recently, the “elephant” upstairs (a very loud former neighbor!) moved out, which has made things even more peaceful. Overall, it’s been a great place to live, and we’re happy to call it home.

Overall, a great community to live in. Most residents respect each other and the leasing/maintenance team work hard to keep the building and grounds in top shape. I think the only critical comments would be: 1) Weekend rowdiness/noise around the pool that goes until midnight/1am. I wish the property had a security officer that made rounds on Friday and Saturday evenings to check the courtyards and garages for abnormal activity. 2) The consistent issues with the resident parking garage gates. They seem to break regularly and it takes a long time for replacement parts to arrive. If the property proactively bought extra spare parts in advance, these repairs would be faster. Not sure why they don't take this simple step, knowing the repeated issues. I think that they just need to change the rate system based on the repeated issue.

View is mid. Garage door not working. Key fob not working. Ice maker not working. Washer/Dryer still adjusting to using it. Everything else 10/10 beautiful apartment and amazing amenities.

Leasing: Easy process, very friendly staff and helpful. Move in: the reason this post is not 5 stars. The apartment was not ready. There were bugs, poop, and dirt everywhere. We had to wait several hours to get the apartment cleaned before we could move in after keys were given over. The staff did their best to accommodate. However, the party in charge of making sure the unit was move-in ready failed. Living: Has been a good experience so far. Enjoy the location and amenities.

We’ve been residents here since the property first opened in 2020. Unfortunately, the living experience has significantly declined over time. One of the biggest ongoing issues is the lack of sound insulation. The walls and ceilings are extremely thin, and noise from neighboring units—especially from the apartment above—is disruptive at all hours. What was once a peaceful and well-maintained community now feels increasingly chaotic and difficult to enjoy. We hope management takes meaningful steps to address these concerns.

It has been okay! The hallways get really smelly and the garage doors don't always operate as they should. Also, there's so much impact/movement in the garage and we don't know why. It feels as if it wasn't built well or not very structured. The apartment we moved in was very dirty.....

Just moved in 2 days ago, so far we love it! Staff has been really helpful answering any questions or concerns ever since we signed our lease a few months ago before even moving in. Just moved in and so far everyone has been very helpful. Love the color scheme and layout of my new home. The gym has more options than most apartments so that is a plus. Very close to many food options and the medical community.

Just moved in yesterday, and the apartment complex seems nice, the leasing team has been very helpful, specially Kathryn. However, I am doing the apartment inspection today and there are a few problems I have found, like the apartment was not properly cleaned before my move in date, the trash disposal does not work and there is some damage to the paint from the cabinets in the kitchen. We also do not have a trash can (I believe the apartment is supposed to provide one, not sure). I will continue working on the first inspection and let the office know since they have been helpful before.

I’ve had a mostly great experience living at West Mockingbird Apartments. The amenities are well-maintained, and the staff has been helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance. The units are modern and comfortable, and the location is convenient. However, security has been a concern. Despite being a gated community, the gates are frequently broken, and car break-ins are still happening. It would be great if management took stronger measures to improve safety. Additionally, noise can be an issue—especially with upstairs neighbors, which made quiet evenings difficult at times. Overall, it’s been a good place to live, but addressing these issues would make it even better!

Cars get towed even though they are registered in the guest parking. Concierge trash pick up is very up in the air. Sometimes they come before 7pm. Communication with the complex is seeming to get better. When I first moved in I couldn’t get anyone to answer a phone call or email. I had to go down to the leasing office and talk to them in person. Very secure unit but having guests is very tough when cars are towed and the building has very limited access to guests without a key.

I’ve lived here for 2.5 years. Just like any complex it has its pros and cons. I will say that management does take resident complaints seriously & maintenance is great. They come within 24 hours. There is now an officer that patrols.. it took them a while to get that going. There are not so great neighbors but the complex does handle them. They do preventative maintenance often. They have made some not so great mistakes but overall it’s pretty decent.
I love it. The size and amenities are great. The parking and security is a plus. I moved into a two bedroom apartment home. The kitchen is very spacious and the bath tubs is very big. We also have a good size standing shower

I’ve enjoyed many aspects of living in this apartment complex, but the noise from my upstairs neighbor has become a serious issue. It often feels like she’s stomping rather than walking, and the noise is loud enough to disrupt our daily activities and make it hard to relax. It’s particularly challenging at night when we’re trying to sleep. Management has been responsive to other concerns, but it would be great if there were guidelines or reminders in place to help everyone maintain a peaceful environment. If noise issues could be better addressed, this would be an ideal place to live. I’m hopeful for a solution soon!

Overall I love it here and I feel safe and secure in my place. The neighbors I've met so far have been kind and friendly. My only cons would be that maintenance responds a little slow and my upstairs neighbors are really noisy and heavy on their feet.

So far I’m currently on the fence about my experience. As beautiful the apartment is, I was taken back by the fact that I had a maintenance issue immediately upon my move in. I notified management within the first hour of me moving in and it took 72 hours to resolve. Other than that, I’ve asked a couple of residents about their experiences and I’m a bit concerned about the answers I’ve received. Out of 5 residence that I spoke to, only 2 said they enjoy the complex. It’s just something to keep in mind. Regardless, I’ll keep an open mind. It does help that my apartment is stunning and the staff seem very friendly .

This place was much better when I first moved in. There are a lot of maintenance issues such as broken door handle (i.e., mailroom door handle from outside) and if/when replaced they don’t work properly, dog poop in the hallway, loud noise during the weekend, and people putting their trash next to someone else’s residence and throwing their trash into someone else’s trash bin while the trash bin is sitting outside for trash pick up.

This apartment is okay. If you are looking for more of a community, this is not the apartment for you. They also have an issue with security (the gate usually breaks frequently and a lot of car break-ins). I would not recommend this apartment complex.

The office is friendly and responsive, and the maintenance staff is very good. The construction during the day is a bit annoying, but there's nothing they can do about it. I will say there have been a lot of car break-ins on the property, but that's been the case for a number of other properties in the area.

Living at West Mockingbird has been a nightmare. The persistent presence of cockroaches is not just unsightly but also a serious health hazard. Combine that with paper-thin walls that offer no insulation from noise or security from break-ins, and you've got a recipe for constant stress. It's disheartening to hear that even with new competition nearby, management hasn't addressed these fundamental issues. The promise of a peaceful home is shattered by the reality of noisy neighbors upstairs, making relaxation impossible. With break-ins occurring like clockwork, it's clear that security measures are sorely lacking. It's a shame that what could be a comfortable living space is marred by these shortcomings. Until significant improvements are made, West Mockingbird falls far short of providing a safe and enjoyable living environment.

my apartment itself was great! It’s very convenient to 183. But the parking garage and hallways seem to always be dirty. And definitely repeated problems with the garage gate being broken. Any maintenance issues were handled very quickly and everyone in the leasing office was very nice.

I use to love living here, but the community has constant breakdowns of the elevator and arcade games in the community room. The amount of rent that is paid here , everything should be always in working order.

This apartment community, West Mockingbird in Dallas, has potential. Unfortunately, quality has consistently declined in the 20 months that I've lived here. Noise control has declined recently, end there is no way to make noise complaints at night. The courtesy officer patrol was discontinued & residents now use common areas after closing time. Communal resources are abused by residents & not maintained by management- see billiards table, pinball & coffee machines, gym facility and equipment & hallways. The garage gate is constantly broken, and the area does not feel safe enough for the garage to remain open all the time. The cleaning and maintenance dept is understaffed. Bottom line is I don't believe that I'm getting what I am paying for at West Mockingbird. I find it difficult to imagine that I would have a different experience at another Bell Partners community, and am strongly considering searching for another place to live after my lease expires in June.

Unfortunately, this apartment complex has gone downhill over the last 2 years. The gate is always broken and there has been an increase of car break-ins but the apartment doesn't seem to want to do anything to up security. The elevator is also sometimes broken and there is a huge trash issue which increases bugs and pests around the apartment. Neighbors don't pick up after their pets and therefore the apartment has a bad smell to it when walking outside and the landscape isn't very upkept/nice. This apartment is honestly way too expensive for the level of service you are provided and the amenities as well. The location is convenient but there are a lot of homeless people roaming around and sometimes going through trash.

I have been at West Mockingbird for 3 months and really love it. The staff was very helpful and caring, if I needed any help I would just go to the desk for questions and was promptly assisted, they threw an awesome community holiday party where I got to meet other residents, and I love all of the amenities the location has to offer including modern design and jam-packed gym/recreation area!
