Barkhamsted is a northern Connecticut town that’s split by the reservoir with the same name. Only 16 miles south of the Massachusetts state line, Barkhamsted provides a quiet, laidback setting with an emphasis on the natural beauty of the surrounding elements. Most of the town is densely wooded, with winding roads that hide houses and apartments that are few and far between.
