I enjoyed living here it's quiet and the staff is really nice. I do wish you could access the computers and gym after hours. I thought the gym was 24/7 but it isn't so just be aware of that.
Maintenance is hit or miss. New management is great, and the pool and parking lot look so much better. The actual units are nice and have been remodeled.
Management and maintenance are so much better than before. Maintenance is very quick and helpful and so is everyone at the front office. Quiet and safe neighborhood.
Living here has been a mostly positive experience. The community is quiet and well-maintained, and the staff is usually responsive and helpful. Maintenance requests are handled in a reasonable amount of time, and the common areas (like the gym and pool) are kept clean. I really appreciate the security features and how safe I feel in the complex.
It’s an alright apartment but when you bring up stuff they just ignore you or they are rude. Best to move in with friends because the random selection is not for everyone. Overall is in a good location perfect for Texas State Students.
Wonderful place. Only had some issues upon move-in but it’s been 2 years since then and I’ve had no major issues come up! Maintenance is quick for little things and everyone is generally friendly.
I’ve had a great experience living here! The management is responsive, maintenance is quick, and the community feels safe and well-kept. The location is super convenient, and the amenities are a great bonus. Definitely a 5-star place to live!
this apartment is very nice and has great accommodations. very affordable for student living and close to the bus stop and other needs. although could use some modernization
Expensive utilities and they told they would be handing gift cards the first month but we had to wait for 4-5 months for that. They dont have a clean pool as well apart from that everything is fine
Best place to live at in san mo, truly one of the best off campus apartments. everything is nearby, shuttle is offered and the space is very big.
It could be better management and employees A lot of stuff could be better in a big way should be understanding that things are tough right now for everyone and everyone is struggling some worse than others
Great living really enjoying my time here I definitely plan on renewing my lease. The apartment is in the middle of stores in food which I really enjoy and close to campus for me.
My biggest complaint is that that wood floors in the apartment get so messy so quickly, even after I vacuum, its like the dust builds up in minutes right after I vacuum, the breezeways are also incredibly messy and not appealing to the eye.
Front desk office people are friendly and helpful. Maintence and cleaning staff are nice but barge in with no warning most of the time. Overall good experience
no noises, amnienties relatively clean but the pool that could be a little more clean. overall I'm having a good experience. I live really close to the pool and I thought it was going to be really loud but instead it's really calm and silent. I'm able to do my homework withouth exessive noises.
so far so good! the place is bigger than I expected. we did need quite a few maintenance appointments for broken appliances but it's worth it for the price
I haven’t lived there yet but it seems pretty cool. There’s a lot of stuff to do and the hot tub and pool are definitely a big bonus, I’m excited to live there.
Love! Haven’t move in yet but everybody has made the process of signing and working out all the kinks involved in that so easy! Can’t wait to move in!

Quiet and make me feel at home! I wouldn’t want any other apartment complex to choose from. Easy access to rent and everything else that you could ask for.
Affordable housing, unfortunately amenities such as gym are small, appliances break frequently, first floor apartments WILL flood. however maintenance is timely.
The lady was very nice and patient and gave lots of useful information. I was pleasantly surprised about the property also, I couldn’t believe such a spacious and up to date apartment could be so affordable in this economy, I feel very lucky to sign.
The new management is so much better and quick in maintenance repairs. They have all the amenities at the lower price and a much better neighborhood.
For the past 2 years management was not the best but the around thanksgiving of 2023 the complex got new management and it started to pick up little by little. Things as simple as once you put a work order done it gets completed within 1-2 business days and you will get a call afterwards asking if they did everything to your liking. The front office staff is much more friendlier than before and there are more community events for the residents. Overall this new management is turning my review into a positive one
This was my very first apartment and it was absolutely terrible living here. I had an absolutely terrible roommate thanks to their roommate matching system. To when I would contact the management team for help for the shear terror and illegal things my roommate did the management team did nothing. They simply didn’t care. Also, maintenance is a joke for getting things fixed. I put in several maintenance requests and was promised by the mangers that it would get done when I first moved in. I’m now about to move out and they haven’t gotten done. I will never recommend this place! Would give zero starts if that was possible.
Utility bills and rent are a bit to expensive for a student to pay. They should try to lower it to accomodate to a students payroll. Except that overall a good environment to live in.
living here was an good. The The people are nice and Maintenance fixes everything as soon as possible. they are usually clean and tidy and almost no issues
its student housing its not great but not terrible theres no mold and it doesn't have a major roach problem but there are wasps though so buy some spray.
I pay to live in a gated community which never shuts its gates. The front office doesn’t communicate well, and the pool hasn’t been cleaned since I moved in during the fall.
my experience has been quite positive. The location is excellent, nestled in a quiet neighborhood but still close to downtown. It's easy to get to shops, restaurants, and public transportation. The apartment itself is spacious, with modern appliances and plenty of natural light. The layout is efficient, making it feel much larger than it actually is. The amenities are a real highlight. The pool area is well-maintained and perfect for relaxing during the summer. The fitness center, while not huge, is equipped with everything I need for a good workout. There's also a community room where residents can host events or just hang out, which has been great for meeting neighbors. The management team is responsive and friendly. Any maintenance issues I've had were addressed promptly, usually within 24 hours. Overall, I would definitely recommend Sunnydale Apartments to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to live.
Average college town apartment. There are issues that are addressed eventually but if your happy with cheaper rent and mid to low tier living this place would work
None of the amenities work. No promised resident events are done in months. No promised working gate. No promised working theatre room. No promised pool. I went into the office and asked about the pool one month after they said it would be done in two weeks and was told, "I don't know honestly" by one of the staff members. Goes to show how no work is being done to actually re-vamp this place after previous management. No one cares about the property or the residents. Save you the fuss of dealing with them and live anywhere else but here. The only good reviews this place gets are from people who tour and are told they have to leave a 5-star review to receive free items. It's all a joke.
Don't live here because they have the worst communication EVER!!. They don't call you back and they don't listen to your concerns. They didn't even care that these two guys trespassed the apartment complex, beat down our door to force their way in with guns in their hands looking for some druggy guy. I left those apartments and they had the nerve to send me to collections for the early termination of lease. Well, HELLO Villagio if you would have answered my calls, returned my calls, answered my emails or even made yourself available to talk to me this would have a different outcome BUT you didn't, so I am writing this review for those in San Marcos, TX who are looking for an apartment to BEWARE!!! and don't lease with you.
