This is one of the most fantastic places I’ve ever lived. It feels like we live in a fancy hotel, like in New York. It’s surprisingly super private. And a lot more sound proof than you’d expect. Which is such a luxury in apartments. We definitely love it and plan to stay as long as possible.

I love UpperWest. The community and the amenities are the best value in the area. The proximity to Trad is a huge bonus! But the real reason I stick around is the staff. They are the best office staff I’ve ever had at a property and care about you as a person, not just a resident.

I lived at Upper West for 15 months, and while there were some good aspects, the negatives—especially the management—were hard to ignore. As a student, I appreciated amenities like study spaces and a year-round pool (rare in Utah with the snow). However, the pool was frequently shut down due to rule-breakers, and management punished everyone instead of addressing the individuals. They even sent an email threatening to close it for good. This unfair approach left those of us following the rules paying for amenities we couldn’t use. There were also recurring issues with people jumping fences to access the pool and rooftop areas. These intrusions weren’t properly addressed, adding to the frustration of paying for premium amenities that were often unavailable. The deposit handling was another issue. I got the paint code to repaint the walls before moving out, but was still charged for repainting. The move-out package suggested cleaning wouldn’t meet their standards, which felt like a setup to lose our deposits no matter what. The issues with management didn’t stop there. When I moved in, I was told I’d receive two key fobs for my two-bedroom apartment but only got one. Seven months later, I requested a second key fob and was charged $50 for it, even though it should have been free from the start. The leasing office staff promised I’d be reimbursed for the $50 if I returned the key at move-out, which I did. After moving out, my account balance was still around $130 after they took my $500 security deposit, and they refused to reimburse the $50 for the fob. Their excuse? The guy who made the promise no longer works there, and there wasn’t a written agreement. Management should be accountable for what their staff tells tenants. It’s wrong to put the responsibility on tenants to know all the ins and outs of what they should or shouldn’t expect, especially when the leasing office is giving out misleading or conflicting information. The parking situation was another headache. I paid extra for a reserved spot, but public parking was a mess. Fire lanes were constantly blocked by illegally parked cars. Management only towed when pressured by the city. They even admitted that people park where they shouldn’t, suggesting I park in the fire lane or walk to the nearby TRAX lot, which is meant for commuters, not residents. Congrats for reading all the way through!

The communications we sent out to the community were intended to help maintain the pool's operations, and through these notices, residents were able to inform us of any violations, which helped prevent further closures. I apologize if the tone of our communications felt threatening. We would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss your concerns during your time here, as we would have liked to address them while you were on-site. Regarding the $50 key fob charge, I have reviewed your account and can confirm that you were never charged this fee, so no credit is due. We apologize for any confusion around this matter, and if you have any further questions, we would be happy to discuss it with our receivables team. As for the issue of street parking, the enforcement of towing is managed by the city, not by our office. We are not notified when the city decides to ticket or tow, and while we advise against parking in that area, it is ultimately at your own risk. We encourage all residents to adhere to the posted signage for street parking. Please feel free to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns. I've just moved in but love the apartment, amenities and community. I especially like the fully equipped gym (just down the elevator), the underground parking and the rooftop heated lounge! The kids and I love it here. One thing to note is we live on the top floor. So it’s almost like going to a hotel on vacation coming home every day. We love the year round pool and the “almost” sound proof walls. It’s the little things.

It's a nice but very expensive location. Parking is ridiculous though, don't move here if you have a car. Even if you pay the $65 monthly for an assigned car, it's not rare for someone else to park in your stall.

I moved to the Upper West from out of state. Not being as familiar with the greater Salt Lake area, the Upper West is in a great location in decent proximity to so many great recreational areas. Beautiful community and units. Mikayla and Tais in the office have been so helpful! I moved from across the country and Mikayla took the time to do a video tour of the property and units so I was comfortable and aware of the layout. Both ladies have answered my many, many questions that Ive had during the moving process. Theyre both friendly and knowledgeable. Julio, the head of maintenance, completed a work order less than 24 hours after I submitted it. I was unsure of moving into an apartment after being in a house for several years but they all have made it a seamless transition for me.

Moved from SC and FL to sight unseen new building - beautiful apartment with Gorgeous park like setting and views. Close to everything. Staff so helpful in making our move - so far residents we have all seem fun and friendly- lots of happy dogs. The community room is awesome. The gym is so spacious and has everything one could need. The space and views from the rooftop terrace are amazing - will probably it be my favorite place when completed Keep up the great work cant wait to see the finished project.
