Just 20 minutes northeast of Downtown Dallas, Lake Highlands is filled with sizable homes and affordable apartments for rent. Residents in this neighborhood enjoy a mostly residential community with plenty of green space as well as a short commute to Dallas. The neighborhood is bordered by Interstate 345 and 635, making it easy to commute into downtown or the rest of the Dallas area.

DONT MOVE HERE THERE ARE BETTER AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS. This has been my experience living here the past 3 years 1 . There is a bad rat and roach problem 2. This is a habitual crime property and there are always break ins in cars and your home. I’ve had my place broken into twice 3. Visitors have to pay for parking 4. The pools are unkept and you cannot swim in them yet they charge you an amenity fee 5. Boarded up buildings everywhere 6. Garbage and unkept grounds 7. Traffic congestion 8. Constant turnover with management 9. Loitering homeless population 10. Not worth the money
I have been living here almost 5 years and in the last year property has gone slightly downhill. We have had no hot water going on three weeks. Trash is piled up everywhere , the “gated” has never been closed and most recently vagrants are breaking into vacant apartments and drugs deals made.
Been living there two years and I wood rats that eat your food pots and pans your furniture caught over seven of them in three days in office will not do anything about it. They bit my sister’s feet. I have shown office pictures, videos, filing a lawsuit against him now call me having this problem for a couple of months try six I can’t even walk in my house but I’ll be in scared because they be out in daylight also.
