Baytown presents a thriving residential area with an emphasis on family life. This community offers a balance between a quiet suburban lifestyle and the energetic ambition that comes with ample business opportunities. Speaking of – the city’s economy relies strongly on petroleum production.
Located by the water, Baytown’s Houston Ship Channel is one of the neighborhood’s biggest attractions. The nearby nature center is a sight to see and home to hundreds of land and aquatic animal species. When you’re not at home in your apartment, the Downtown Arts District has a number of culture programs like the Baytown Little Theatre, which has been run exclusively by volunteers for over 50 years.
In the event you’re not outside enjoying the bay views, you might be shopping at the San Jacinto Mall or lavishing in the comforts of your Baytown home.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at The Preserve at Baytown
I have applied paid application fees x3, it has been over 2 weeks and no one has been able to let me know if my application has been approved or denied. I've called and sent emails and still no answer. Ridiculous never again. It shouldn't take this long.
Words will not do it justice honestly Because they have yet to do much to fix my problems in the unit I am in. My move in date was July 1st, 2024. first day of move in, DRYER DOES NOT WORK, cabinets and counter tops are not what was expected. The show room that I toured was completely different to the actual unit I moved into. The show room was very nice with marble counter tops and nice cabinets that looked new. The actual unit that I moved into were different and looked OLD, WOOD WAS PEALING OFF. All they did was just paint over it. Also the counter tops were just PAINTED TO LOOK as if it was marble, (they DIY painted the counters). Also did not do a good job neither. Because there are lots of spots that they missed or that were speared. I can literally feel the bumps on the counter from the splat of paint they whipped on the counter to make it look like marble countertops. THE STOVE, the stove has burn marks on the whole display where you change the temp, LIKE IF IT WAS IN A FIRE. The crazy thing is NONE have been fixed or resolved. I did tell the front office as soon as I could. They had someone COME INTO my unit WHILE NO WAS HOME (I don't think that is okay for anyone or should even be aloud) to try and fix the dryer. They stated in a email that it was fixed. It still does not dry my cloths at all. As for the stove I was told that because it still works that they will not replace it. As for the counter tops and cabinets they never told me anything about resolving it till this day. It has been 17 days. I literally haven't been able to wash my cloths at all since move in date.
I enjoyed visiting this community. I just moved here from Louisiana and was looking for a great place to live. I like that it is close to my mom. Ms Friedman helped me out so much on my visit. She was very patient with me and my questions.
Hate these apartments. Everything about here has been a nightmare. OVERPRICED 1bd, 1 bath. Our apartment has been falling apart for months now and maintenance has yet to come do anything about the issues. Can never find a parking spot close to my apartment, the gates are ALWAYS malfunctioning, the "valet trash" that we're forced to pay $31 a month for is a JOKE. They always leave garbage bags in the middle of the parking lot or at the bottom of the stairs. They never want to pick up boxes even if they're broken down. Will NOT be renewing my lease. Can't wait until it's up!!
it SEEMS like a really good place to live in until they find a reason to charge you. Apparently your rent can go up really high after the first year. Also, if you miss a payment, they'll put a $100 charge on it right away. They do not want to accommodate you at all on that. They'll just say, oh, you signed the paper. It's like one of those stores where once you make a purchase, you have to commit to it. Now I'm just scared that what reasons they'll find to charge me. So please shop around before you make this purchase.
The apartments are overpriced for old model looking apartments. My apartment bathroom is horrible management never fixed it. Moving out
DO NOT MOVE IN!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, ROACHES, BED BUGS, AND BLACK MOLD BEHIND THE SHOWERS!!
When I first began the leasing process I was a bit skeptical because of bad experiences in the past. From the moment I walked in to view the model of my exact floor plan, I knew this place would be warm and welcoming. All of the staff are so professional, humble and truly committed to providing the best living environment possible. When I transfer out of state for school, I hope I can find another complex that is just as cozy as this one.
Overall this is a nice place to live. Management is good, maintenance is slow and doesn't communicate well. They busted a pipe and had to retile part of the bathtub, and the contractor they hired did a terrible job and smoked inside. There's an interesting group of people living here.. everything from "normal" families, to 1000 lb people bowling at night, and the major pothead people downstairs.
