I moved in a few months back and so far have nothing to complain about. My apartment is beautiful. The maintenance is quick and efficient and there is plenty of parking.

Location is amazing but what really makes this place stand out is the people. This team is caring and goes above and beyond to take care of any issue that arises. They truly make you feel cared for. If I was not moving out of the state I would have renewed here.

This was a cool place. I was located on the Lower floor near leasing office. Super quiet. Nice neighbors. Leasing office was very responsive via email. When I rarely had issues maintenance wise. Some one came the next day

While I've only lived here for four months, it's been a great four months! George and Lisa in the office have been so helpful and have helped quickly resolve a few issues I have had while living here. It was such an easy leasing process and move-in was a breeze. The unit itself was immaculate when I moved in and I feel so comfortable and safe in my new apartment home. The community itself is clean, safe, and secure! I especially love that the community has a dog park which is super convenient as a dog owner. Although I've had a couple of minor maintenance issues since I moved in, the maintenance team helped resolved the issue on the same day I submitted a service request. I can't speak highly enough about the maintenance/service team! I've lived in several different complexes in the Northern Virginia area over the last seven years, and this is by far the best place I have lived!

Every one in the office has been so helpful. My maintenance request are responded to in a timely manner and the community is so clean. I take my dog regularly to the bark park and there are trails to walk through the community. I highly recommend!

Second, if you’re looking for longer term residence, I would highly consider this, because all your preferred amenities are within the premises, so there isn’t any hassle on that end. I recently moved to The Elms at Oakton during the pandemic. The office team was great and answered all the questions I had. I placed a service request in the morning and it was completed the same day. I am very impressed with their customer service. The community grounds are well kept and there are lots of trails.

We've lived here for 2 years and the new team is amazing! Always responsive and able to answer our questions. Even during the Covid shut downs our requests were handled in a timely manner. Plenty of parking even at night. We couldn't be happier anywhere else!

The leasing team is very responsive. The maintenance team is very helpful. They are very kind and courteous. I never had any problems with my neighbors and they host really nice family events. When i moved out, I cleaned my carpet and gave them a receipt and all they charged me for was my water. I'm really sad to go but i had a new job offer.

My roommate and I are elementary school teachers who lived here for 7 months. We cannot move out fast enough. Management charged us with the replacement of perfectly fine carpet in the entire apartment, and without even contacting us beforehand. Hung up on us when we tried to speak with them. Dishonest people. Do not recommend living here unless you want terrible interactions and constant anxiety.

Never rent for the 2nd floor's unit. Never in this apartment! I lived in the 2nd floor, when the upper unit was opening/ closing the glass door heavily, the unit below me would thump on the floor loudly to my unit. So I had to call the police and complaint to the leasing office, but guess what? the leasing office blame it to me. Bad management, all I can say is: stay away from the 2nd floor and pray for nice neighbors! I did contacted the leasing office directly for thousands times, nothing changed.

Loud and noisy neighborhood. Management forced us to change our unit in the middle of the lease due to renovation to a dirty unit with old stained carpets. We informed them about the carpet and the unit's condition when we moved in. And stayed in that unit for a year and a half, and after moving out they charged us for not cleaning such old carpets (which we actually did).

Pros: my apartment itself is in pretty good shape, grounds are kept reasonably clean Cons: I've had to call the police and email management multiple times for noise...and it's still continuing. it's from below and above. below me, loud electronic music with booming base that shakes my floor - at 2am, 5am, 7am, 11am. Keeps me up at night, can't concentrate on studies. I can only speculate what's going on in that apartment. Above me, neighbors seem to better respect night quiet hours but during the day - party, stomping on the balcony to the music beat (literally making my ceiling shake), shouting, etc. Bottom line is maybe I had bad luck with the neighbors in my building but in my experience it is a loud, frat party environment and you will never get a moment's peace here.

I would be careful when leasing an apartment from this complex. The apartment looked nice, but we had problems with the plumbing. Our pipes, laundry room leaked and we were constantly worried about water damage. In addition the management keeps changing how much money you owe. Very inconsistent.

I've lived here off and on over the past several years and can't say enough great things about this place. Love the apartment, the kitchens are luxe, the balconies really do give you enough of that 'outdoor living' feel and the location is surprisingly central to anywhere you'd want to go in Fairfax County. Kudos to the maintenance staff - they really take care of the place and are very responsive. I also like the mix of residents - young, not-so-young, older, not-so-old,single, married, single again, families. Very much a neighborhood feel to this place. Office staff also helpful and responsive. The place doesn't disappoint.

in one world , dont let them to full you , there is no quality at all , from the refrigerator in apartment to the grill out side please take a look at GYM , please see how dirty they are DO NOT TRUST THE RUDE MANGER TOO they play too much never clean the stairs ( maybe 1 a year) if u ask for service it takes long to come and fix it

I have been living at The Elms for three years now and couldn't be happier! The maintenance team is very prompt if you ever need help. They have a ton of great amenities and social events. The location of the apartments is very convenient right by 66! I highly recommend The Elms.

I've been living at The Elms at Oakton since February 2015, and I highly recommend it. The apartments are clean, private, spacious, and functional. Parking is ample and free (a rarity for the area). The grounds are well-maintained. They are pet-friendly, though you should be aware that they enforce size and breed restrictions and require a non-refundable fee + a small amount of pet rent. The complex is very convenient to I-66 (a main selling point for me) and very close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shops. The appliances could stand to be updated, but everything is in good working order and clean. There are some good amenities (pool, gym, boot camp fitness classes) but my favorite thing is the valet trash pickup -- you simply set your trashcan outside of your apartment at night, and it's picked up for you. NO walking to the dumpster! I love it. We've been impressed with management so far; they are very attentive and their leasing office is well-staffed. They're quick to respond to maintenance requests and any other concerns. You can pay rent online, and the process is very easy. Their online portal makes it easy to find receipts and copies of your lease and all addendums when you need to refer to them. Generally residents are quiet and we have not had any issues with our neighbors. Given the area, you will not find more bang for your buck, and we have been very happy living here.
Very Good Apartment, easy access to Metro, couple of mile from major Interstates and Highways. Well Maintained and management staff are very helpful and friendly. Maintenance requests are taken care on the same day without delays. Very close to malls and shopping centers and commute is not so bad. Noise from neighbors upstairs was the only problem, but when i complained to management, a notice was issued and noise is gone.
Everyone is very friendly, and love the access to a dog park, 24 hr gym, and pool ! Wish it was a little less expensive per month but it's better than most places in this area.

When we returned to Northern Virginia last year we looked at many apartment and condo communities before choosing the Elms. The location is convenient to anything you care to do: golf and Recreation Center across the street, public transportation at the door and Tysons 15 min away. But the Management Team is the real eason for choosing to live here. They exude professionalism, competence and genuine concern for residents in everything they do.
