Property Ratings at The Daley at Shady Grove
We called to request touring the apartment. We are not in the area. When we called we asked for the latest touring spot and were given one at 4:00 pm. We were told there was parking available designated for future residents but there was nothing inside or outside the building on Feb 1, 2020 at 4 pm. We circled 5 times until we were able to find a spot in the building. Helas, we were not accommodated because the one person whom they had there was waiting for the next appointment at 4:30. He was nice and professional but could have at least offered us a brochure, water, or asked us to wait or anything or at least acknowledge that it was difficult to park.... there was no one else around. I felt shocked a bit by the poor reception, my partner was more forgiving and felt that the man who handled it did the best he could given the situation. We really wanted to live here, the building looked nice even though it was in the middle of nowhere...Also metro is a bit far... 2 miles away. Given the long drive and the parking situation, I really have zero incentive to go back and look again.

The amenities are beautiful, clean and updated. The apartment features are the same and there is ample space. The security features are great with the gated entry to the parking deck. I also like how close it is to grocery stores.

Residents are complaining about infestations of bugs. Management will do nothing. Do not be fooled by the appearance. This is a pig in lipstick, money-pit.

Beautiful property. Staff are friendly but not seemingly able to operate well at the level in which this community needs—lack of responsiveness was very apparent on more than one occasion while trying to give the property a fair shake. The finishes are ok but the flooring was subpar to the competition in this price range. Storage in the apartments was lacking. The prices would be on target for this community IF it was NOT sitting next to the “recycling “ center full of smelly trash. On a nice breezy morning, it makes me want to lose my breakfast. Overall, not a bad place, but I don’t think I could ever live here. It needs far more than a metro stop and a Starbucks to entice me.
