Ridgewood is a suburban village positioned just north of Paramus and Paterson and about twenty miles north of Manhattan. Primarily a residential community serving New York-area commuters, Ridgewood has earned a strong reputation as a classic American small town, frequently appearing on lists of best places to live in national publications.
A charming downtown district along Ridgewood Avenue features a vibrant collective of shops, cafes, and historic landmarks like the Warner Theater in a walkable, tree-shaded setting. The terrific local schools and exceptionally low crime rate have made Ridgewood particularly popular among folks raising families, and the diverse rental market includes upscale apartments, condos, and houses to suit any lifestyle.

Property Ratings at The Benjamin
It's just such a gorgeous building with friendly staff and the most wonderful neighborhood! Very pleased to call this my new home and move-in was easy and pain free.
Wonderful move-in experience with fantastic personal attention! All aspects of the move-in were addressed immediately, and cordially. Happy to be settled and to call this place home!
Everything has been Easy and beautiful! Carly and team have been so responsive - we are very happy after week one:) looking forward to exploring!!
It feels amazing to have an apartment with this much room. Feels like a house with the convenience of a great gym and a nice lounge area to hangout.
The Benjamin is an excellent building with the convenience of being in downtown Ridgewood. Great dining at your finger tips. The building manager is very professional and attentive to residents needs.
The manager Carley is wonderful! The mat service when needed in the apartment ( (dryer) which has not been drying since I moved a year ago and the service person excused it by saying there was lint at times there is no lint the dryer simply does not give hot air so I have to take it to the cleaners. The barbecue grill is not working and I was not aware until I already had my people over and found out it was embarrassing .
I lived in a lot of places during my university years. The Benjamine was the only place where I stayed more than two years. It is a place where I call home now. It is well situated in Ridgwood and is close to almost everything you need. Lots of restaurants and take away places to choose from. Great supermarkets and pharmacies nearby, plus bank branches, boutiques and beauty salons. . If you do not have a car, you can still walk everywhere to get your daily essentials. What’s makes it a great place to live at is the management is absolutely great and all the residents are wonderful. I can whole heartedly recommend this place without hesitation.
Very nice place that is conveniently located in Ridgewood, NJ. Lots of restaurants near by and places to see. The Benjamin is a very secure building and quiet. The leasing office is excellent and run very well.
the walls are very thin, can hear upstairs neighbors constantly which becomes bothersome/distracting while working from home.
Its convenient to downtown Ridgewood. Easy access getting in and out of the parking lot.
Th shower had no place for soap and shampoos. The kitchen cabinets were awkward sizess and difficult to utilize efficiently. And no need for a wine rack over a hot refrigerator
Its convenient to Ridgewood, all new, well staffed and it feels safe. The people you meet are friendly. Lots of young couples and dogs!!
