We lost our home in the Eaton fire, and the road ahead is very unclear. We are SO grateful to have found Talaria as a new home. Worst Apartment Building Ever

I've been living at Talaria Burbank for four years now. Talaria is a poorly run apartment building and the worst I've ever experienced. The elevators break down almost every month. Mail and packages have been stolen so many times. Last year, one of the elevators wasn't working for over six months. Security is non-existent in this building. Garage doors are left open almost all day long with little to no security. The main entrance garage door has been broken for over six months. Thieves have easily broken into cars and I've seen wheels stolen off of new high end cars several times. You are on your own when you live here. Every man and woman for himself. I can't tell you how many times I've stepped on dog pee in the elevator. There is dog poop all over the sidewalks surrounding this building. When I contact the front desk they blow me off and it's not cleaned until the next day. The cleaning crew don't speak a word of English. The building rents out units to questionable characters who smoke weed all day and the smell is always in the elevators and the garage. Pricing and availability is questionable because I've seen my unit rent for 30% more than what I'm paying. They adjust their prices constantly and I don't believe they are being honest on availability of units. During the last four years, I've been dealing on and off with rolling vibrations throughout my unit and it takes them months and dozens of emails to investigate and problems are never resolved. Furthermore, a tenant deleted himself last year by taking a jump off the fifth floor but you didn't hear about that either. Management does not disclose theft or other significant issues that tenants should be aware of. We are left in the dark and have to fend for ourselves. Many problems are ignored and swept under the rug. Also, instead of fixing the elevators and garage doors in a timely manner, they wait for an insurance payout which takes months. I've lived in many apartment buildings over the years, this is one of the worst managed buildings I've seen and experienced.

Talaria is a stunning upscale apartment complex with a wide range of services. The maintenance team keeps hallways and common areas immaculate. The courtyards are beautiful and welcoming. Apartment repairs are done promptly. Building management is extremely responsive to concerns, and the concierge service offers food delivery and household services. Both front desk and back office staff are warm and professional. The gym is particularly first rate, with an excellent trainer on-site. The pool is lovely, as are the screening room and pub. Just an excellent building.

Talaria’s greatest advantage by far is it’s location right in the center of Disney Studios, Warner Brothers and I Heart Radio. Conveniently, my film school is also right across the street and Whole Foods is right below us, so I can just about walk to everywhere I need to. The apartments updated style cleanliness and amazing amenities are incredible. We love living here and feel extremely safe.

We love living here! It's very convenient. We moved here for security reasons and also because we were sick of spending all our free time on repairs to our older home where once it took us months to get a new dishwasher. They're super quick here. We don't call until we're ready, because they are usually up here in like 10 minutes!

This is a very nice one of a kind place. We were not able to find anything as nice as this in the Burbank area. Having Whole Foods down stairs is great. We often go down to the bar for a drink and bring our food back to eat at home. With the nearby freeway on ramps we are able to get to work in minutes. So far we have no complaints.

I can safely say that this place truly feels like home. The entire staff is extremely professional, super friendly and very helpful. All the amenities are excellent. Living here has been nothing short of a nightmare.

From the second we moved in, things have been going wrong. Let’s make a list, shall we: 1) our dishwasher was broken when we moved in, we were the first people to ever live in this unit and it took them almost TWO WEEKS to fix it 2) the doors in our apartment are either too long and don’t close (actually has been fixed) or too short (with 2 inch gaps under them/hasn’t been fixed) and let sound bounce around 3) we had ants infest our apartment, from the complex flower boxes outside, TWICE and had to wait nearly 3 days for an exterminator to come...ants destroyed most of the food in our pantry, office did nothing. 4) the sound proofing between upper and lower apartments is AWFUL. We can here our upstairs neighbor walking, LOUDLY. at all hours of the day 5) we have a rattle coming from inside our ceiling (we think related to air vents) that no one has fixed or looked in to, even though we’ve asked maintenance numerous times 6) after the rain, there are HUNDREDS of worms on our patio that crawled out of the complexes flower boxes...we’ve asked them to be cleaned up, nothing has happened yet 7) there seems to be a problem with children doing whatever they want in this complex and not being talked to about it. Kids play computer games and YELL in the business center/their parents are using the BUSINESS center as a daycare. The same kids play in the gym/sauna unaccompanied by adults. The same kids run, screaming through the hallways playing tag. The same kids ran THROUGH OUR PATIO, trespassing on our property, and nothing has been done about it. 8) one of the 2 Gates in the parking structure was broken for nearly a month, after we were told it would be fixed in 3 days 9) elevators are constantly broken (building isn’t even 6 months old). 10) we were just notified that now our hot tub is broken (building not even 6 months old) 11) even though we have package lockers, packages are constantly left out in the open where anyone could take them 12) owner of building uses our ONLY guest parking spots as his private parking for friends, which gives us no parking for friends or family. 13) areas of apartment are already being destroyed and re-done, even though building isn’t even 6 months old, with no warning to neighboring residents of construction plans. 14) we were supposed to get a $1,000 gift card upon move in, it’s been 3 months and we haven’t gotten it. We were told 2 months ago that it was “processing”.
