Takoma Central

The building is always clean and smells good. The staff is friendly and helpful. So far, my experience with Takoma Central has been pleasant & joyful.

This is the place to live if you want a clean secure place to call home. The management is very nice and helpful and knows there tenants by name not unit number

It’s nice to have Denise here because she does things during the month for us. If you need maintenance, consider it done. Since Buzzto has taken over things have gotten better

Doing a great job , maintenance response time is outstanding.Also all the community social events are really great. Denise and Taylor on the office have been wonderful

The neighborhood is very quaint. The people are very welcoming. The staff is supportive. Parking is difficult. I have noticed that some time packages are left in the entryway where anyone could access them. This isn’t the apartment’s fault but it is a concern.

Even if you live by yourself, when you live at Takoma Central community you're never truly alone. The opportunity to interact with fellow community members regularly makes it easier to forge lasting connections and takes the work out of staying socially involved, which is an important aspect of anyone's wellbeing.

Staff is amazing , maintenance is amazing too. Also the building is comforting and have different activities that’s planned the amenities is reliable especially the Gym which is my favorite hobby to do

Could be better especially the gym - it’s outdated. There had been a lot of change in management over the years and there aren’t many amenities as promoted (Fire pit doesn’t work nor the grill)

Its been a rough almost 2 years with all the problems old mangement hasn't resolved. Looking forward to seeing changes. The gym equipent is either not working, and/or built wrong. The garage door in the back is never down and anyone can get into our building that way. Especially because the lock to the door to the patio is broken. Not to mention the fire pit never works and the furniture is old and smelly

I enjoy the Great staff and the living arrangements are so nice, the amenities are great too. I always get help with any problems at a efficient time

My experience with Buzzuto has been wonderful since they have taken over management. The staff are all very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. When requesting a work order, maintenance is very quick to respond and complete orders in the apartment. Allen in maintenance is amazing! In addition, the main office staff are friendly and help to resolve any issues that may arise.

The shared community is always clean and tidy. The building is quiet. Work orders are completed in a timely manner. Management knows who we are by name, and is professional and friendly when questions are asked.

I have never witnessed an apartment building decline in quality so quickly. It wasn’t exactly 5 star previously but with a recent change in management to Cushman & Wakefield, things have really gone downhill. Public areas look beat. Smell of cigarette smoke in the stairwells and sometimes hallways, even though it’s a nonsmoking building. Shady folks in the lobby in the evening asking residents to fob the elevator call button or pushing their way in, and the police have been spotted in the lobby or hallway on numerous occasions dealing with domestic disputes. Gym equipment never repaired; Packages routinely stolen or misdelivered and never returned. Dogs barking aggressively and loudly for hours so you can’t find peace even in your own apartment. And management doesn’t seem to be doing anything to turn it around.

Made an appointment to see the apartments. No one showed up. Waited 30 mins. There were 3 other people waiting for them also. So if it is like this as a prospective tenant, I can't imagine living here and having a problem.

Management is unresponsive to maintenance requests. Also after nearly 6 weeks they still have not fixed of broken trash room chute allowing garbage to accumulate on the floor of the room. This is an unsanitary conditions and is causing a bad odor in the hall. Also after almost 6 weeks they still have not sent out updated tenant bills for rent and utilities.The garage door was broken for over a week which led many of us to worry about security. There is a new tenants association which may help but this new company has a long way to go to making Takoma Central the wonderful place it could be.

Do not move to Takoma Central Apartments!! This is the only review I have at this time. Gabriel is great. That’s the only thing good about this place.

Great place, excellent management, things get done quick. Just a bit on the pricey side in my opinion, but it seems like everything is on that side at the moment.

Takoma central living is convenient to the metro, farmers market , numerous restaurants and shops. It is a vibrant neighborhood that feels old school yet with all the open plan living with modern amenities. I feel secure here and people are so nice.

Great location, great staff and a beautiful apartment!

Lovely neighborhood and neighbors. My unit is quiet and receives wonderful sunlight. Ive had some issues with appliances and cleanliness since I moved in, however the building is very nice. Maintenance has been incredibly friendly and responsive.

On the surface Takoma Central seems modern and sleek however there are a few complaints about the appliances. First all the air conditioners are very loud. We thought it was just our unit but when looked into switching units we found the other unit had very loud ACs as well. Other things to check are our dishwasher was not installed probably and sticks out from the counter. The W/D is super hard on your clothes. The cold water option is not cold and your clothes get very twisted and tied together. Our oven has to be set between 60 - 70 degrees over the what the recipe calls for. The building staff has good intentions but it takes forever to get their attention. In conclusion, if you are touring the building and are like this is nice and price is really reasonable. Yes that is true but you soon see why just a little under the surface.

Gabriel here at Takoma Central in Washington DC is the greatest asset in welcoming people through the leasing process and helping get new residents into their homes. He is on point, available to so many, present for many hours of the day and takes care of us all.

Takoma Central is a great place to live. Everything is so close and the staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. The community at takoma central are also friendly and had help me when using the facilities. Im happy for have choose Takoma Central as my place to live!

Takoma Central has plenty of square footage and has a great price and value. The neighborhood is also fantastic.

Takoma Central is beautiful, well kept, in a great location! The staff is all very friendly, and the apartments themselves are modern and cute. The leasing office can be difficult to reach sometimes, but that is my only complaint!

I love living at Takoma Central

Takoma Central is a wonderful building. It is in a great location with the metro across the street, restaurants, coffee shops and dog park nearby. Minutes to downtown. The apartment is all up to date with a very modern appearance. Very welcoming community and super dog friendly. Also Management, has been very helpful and informative during my whole process. Gabriel is very responsive to emails and has made my transition very easy. All in All, highly recommend living at Takoma Central.

Washer and dryer in unit is a big plus.

I have lived at Takoma Central for 2 years and have enjoyed the experience. The building is well kept and in an ideal location for city living. I moved to DC to be closer to work and haven't regretted it.

Great Community. Takoma Park in general is becoming busier. It isnt as quiet as before. Overall my experience has been great.

Fitness center and washer/dryer are convenient.

Takoma Central is a lovely apartment building. It is well kept, and stylish and has great and friendly staff. I love how quiet it is inside of the apartments, and most of the neighbors are friendly.

The location is very convenient with the metro being feet away. The floor plans make sense. The office staff is very helpful and friendly. The amenities are also pretty cool with a business center and gym and the building is connected to a restaurant so you don’t even have to go outside to grab food!

This is a good building, nothing spectacular but worth the price. Two blocks from the metro (20min to downtown and more importantly 10min to U Street), good appliances, nice bathrooms and helpful office staff who are there 7 days a week. There's a gym that I'm too lazy to use (but I hear is nice), a lounge and patio with grills that can be reserved and an automated package system so you don't have to wait for someone to be in the office. The neighborhood is fantastic. Food trucks across the street every Friday, farmer's market 2 blocks away every Sunday, several nice restaurants and a great coffee shop. If you want a nice place that's not backbreakingly expensive, but don't want to live in Maryland or Virginia, you could do a lot worse.
