Property Ratings at Sun Chase
Nice enough people, great location. A lot better than the complex next to us. It is pretty old and noise barrels through the walls pretty good. They get on stuff for fixes and always cordial. Sad that these places aren't more soundproofed, but it is by NO means a slum dwelling.
So I moved in there January 2017, and liked it. Any and all problems were fixed quickly. My Problem comes with leaving. I left August 29, but lease ended Sept. 4th, and gave 30 day notice before 30 days. They charge for things that I was told was not a problem by closing inspection people, small paint problems. (since that paint is super sticky my end table and couch pulled paint off when moved). The deep cleaning I did was ignored and charged for cleaning, even though I found stuff from the people who lived there before me, so they don't clean well to start with. The real one that gets me is extra rent due, I payed in full for one more month of rent and then left 6 days early and they charged me $51 extra, for the last 2 days in August, when I was good till Sept. 4th. So in the end good place but at the end they will take your deposit with little reason when you go to leave.
I've lived at Sun Chase for about two years now, and not once have I had any issues. The property is clean & open and the management is very helpful & friendly. You can tell they put a lot of effort into maintaining the property when they do things like repaving the entire parking lot & updating the laundry facility. With extra services like regular spring cleaning to maintain the outside of the buildings & complimentary pest control, you can tell that they really care about making the tenants comfortable. The inside of my one bedroom unit has everything to keep me happy. Refrigerator/freezer, spacious pantry, disposal, & dishwasher. There's a wonderful walk-in closet with a nice little built in bookshelf. The heating & air keeps me comfortable no matter the time of year. I really can't think of a single bad thing to say about living here!!
These reviews were written by sunchase management to lure you into their over priced and out of date apartments. The comments below are really generic. Homeless people are always going through the trash cans. No family or friends are allowed to park within the apartment complex. They are forced to park outside on the side of the road or face being towed, which patrols regularily and look into your car to verify your parking permit. Out of date appliences and air conditioning that barely works.
I have lived at the Sun Chase Apartments for about a year now and I love it! It is my first apartment i've ever had on my own and I couldn't of picked a better place to live. I think the thing I love most about it, is how nice everyone is. Now a days I think that's hard to come by! I also love all the trees they have surrounding the apartments. It makes it that much more enjoyable to walk out of your apartment everyday. Not to mention the clean facilities they have to offer! All in all, I don't think i'll be leaving Sun Chase for a very long time!
Located in the heart of down town Ogden, the Sunchase Apartments is the place to live! If you want a beautiful scenery you got it with trees and the river near by its unbelievable. Its also near your local grocery store, fantastic restaurants, and even the movie theater isn't to far to walk to. The area around our cozy home is well maintained and staff are always there to help when in need. Unlike other apartments we have a comfortable pool, hot tub, and sauna. We also have a laundry facility open 24 hours 7 days a week which is very helpful if you work almost everyday. In the area of the laundry room we are privilaged to have a cozy room with a fire place and a t.v. with cable. We also have a wonderful weight room that is also open 24/7 how incredible is that! Also in the same area as the weight room we have a racket ball court, I dont know an apartment complex that has that. Our cozy little home is located in the back of the complex and surrounded by trees and nature it truly is beautiful and very quite. We love our home and we will be staying here years to come.
By far the best apartment experience I've had. The owners and employees here are so friendly and always want what's best for you. They remember who you are what you do and make it part of their day to engage in conversation with you. The apartment complex is constantly being kept up to look nice.
I moved into Sun Chase around 5 month ago. The complex is the best I have ever lived in. The grounds are well kept and free of garbage. The pool over the summer was always opened on time and clean and just the right temperature. My apartment has been wonderful and very spacious for a loft apartment. The management and staff have been extremely kind and easy to work with. Any maintenance request I have had are done in a very timely manner. I would and have recommended Sun Chase to my friends and family.
Two bedroom is roomy, with nice walkin closets. Grounds are clean and safe. Laundry and workout room are close together so you can workout while your laundry is running.
Great office Management and repair people. Close to school and very safe with lots of accommodations. Single or families it's a safe and great place to live. I wish I did not have to move to the city soon, but am hoping to find one just like it there. Would be great to have help with rent for sure.
We rent a studio- loft apartment in a very nice location of North Ogden right across the street from the beautiful Ogden River..Our apartment is perfect for a couple.. the loft over looks the living area and the kitchen is open to the living area as well, making it cozy and perfect for interacting with each other while cooking or doing dishes. It comes with a big bathroom and storage under the stairs(inside) to the loft.. we have an awsome heated pool, hot tub, weight room, indoor racket ball court and a laundry room with new washers and dryers that allow us to use our debit/credit card to wash and dry.. the maintenance teams is fast to responded to any problems and the whole staff is friendly.. the only thing that we don't like so well is the lack of available parking close to our unit and a covered parking cost extra.. though only $20.00 more a month we think its unfair due to the lack of parking spaces to begin with.. other than this.. we live Sun Chase apartments!
The overall community is in a pretty good area and the apartments themselves are well kept. There is one apartment behind Ridgeview that is shady but otherwise this area is safe to be in. Chris, The Manager, was extremely accommodating, very kind, and we were looking forward to living there a big part in thanks to him. My fiance and I put down a deposit without seeing the one bedroom first, excited to live in this community (Our mistake). The one bedroom was not available to look at yet, but Chris let us tour the loft which was beautiful and a good size so we thought the one bedroom would be just as roomy. WRONG!! Chris was not available when we returned so Patti gave us a tour of the one bedroom on the bottom floor. The way I can accurately describe the size is that one of snow whites 7 dwarves can comfortable live there, not two grown adults, and the price for the size of the one bedroom is too much. Trying to work through the size issue (as we already bought our furniture), I was in the next room planning how this would work so I did not hear what Patti was telling my fiance in the next room. I came back and saw switches on the wall and flipped it up, not seeing anything happen I asked what that worked, she responded with, and I quote, "I already told you, when you plug in a lamp that's what that will work, and the other switch is for the other side." I was taken aback by her rude answer but tried to brush it off, my fiance and I then proceeded to ask if we can stay for a few minutes to plan how we will organize our things and in a very abrupt, rude tone cut us off and said "I don't have the time, I have other people in the lobby so we need to hurry this up". I was so insulted by this as for one, the other people in the lobby were filling out applications to apply there and my fiance and I already had a deposit put down, and two, being that we are paying to live there I didn't appreciate her acting as though we were inconveniencing her. If it were not for Patti, I would be happier with this place, however, I will never live there now because of her.
I lived here for 8 months and it was the best experience renting I've ever had. The office staff and maintenance crew were excellent. Very friendly and willing to be of assistance. The community is quiet and the location is central to everything. I loved it, and even though I live in a brand new apartment now, there are days I miss it.
I really wanted to move to this location but being a mother of a 1 yr old I need laundry hook-ups in my apartment, not on site. Other than that I loved this location and the office staff was very friendly and honest.
