Southwood Acres

I have driven by this property for years and have always admired how clean and upkept it is. The community has great amenities like resort style pool, gym, dog park, playground, and more. I work for a sister property and know that the office staff will go above and beyond to help you find a home here. Once you are moved in, they will offer great resident events and giveaways! Maintenance is always quick and respectful when working around the community and in your home. Overall, you can't go wrong renting from Southwood Acres!

I've been in this apartment for more than a year, and I'm very glad I made this choice. The apartment has a large, well-planned layout with lots of natural light and stainless steel appliances. Not to mention great ammenities and actually has utilities included! Having an dog park right on the property is probably one of my all time favorite features about this community. It is also located in a nice quiet area yet so close to so many things to do! The property manager, Amanda, and leasing agent, Katelyn have been so helpful and nice from day one til now. They are always willing to help and with a smile on their face! All things considered, I would heartily suggest these apartments to anyone searching for a new place to call home. You wont regret it!

I have just moved to Southwood Acres. Brianna was very helpful in the process. She answered all my questions and helping me though the process. She a delight to be working with.

I lived here for 14 months. I had relocated temporarily for work, otherwise I would have stayed!! My move in process was easy as well as my move out. Loved the gym and the pool!! The minor issues I had in my apartment were fixed quickly! They would do regular maintenance as well. Washer and dryer in the apartment was a life saver. Office staff was always holding events or daily get togethers for the residents. They really made you feel at home.

This is one of the best apartments I have rented. The place itself is very nice and comes with so many great amenities. Problems get fixed practically immediately and the main office staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Overall, it's a great place to live

I booked a tour with Briana to check out one of the townhomes. The whole process was seamless and the place was beautiful. A few residents popped out to say hello to us which was actually really heartwarming. It seems like not only a great place to live but it’s nice to see the staff be close with the residents (shows they’re actually available when you need them if people living there are on a first name basis). Briana was very knowledgeable of the area and told me about great places to go out to eat and go shopping which helped me picture myself living there!! The property manager Amanda also told me about fun little events and raffles they have in their leasing office which is such a cool way to meet your neighbors! ALSO they’re pet friendly, have a washer/drier, AND a pool. SOLD.

I needed a place for my sons and I to move to, took a tour loved the townhouse with three levels. Briana helped with the initial application process and was very helpful and sympathetic to my situation. Very friendly and hard working staff. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We don't have enough wonderful things to say about our experience so far living at Southwood Acres Apartments and Townhomes in Westfield MA. We've lived here for close to a year so far and have been so pleased with every single aspect of renting here. The apartments and townhomes are clean, lovely and spacious with updated interiors and washer and dryer in EACH unit! The office manager A. is incredible and the front office staff is always friendly, helpful, responsive and go above and beyond to make living here fun (basket raffles, resident events etc). The maintenance workers are always smiling, professional and willing to do everything they can to address your maintenance needs in a timely manner. The grounds are maintained beautifully in all seasons with professional landscapers working the grounds in spring and summer, leaf removal services in the fall and a fantastic snow plow team in the winter. The resort style salt water swimming pool is huge, clean and truly luxurious with tons of seating and shade (and Wifi!)... such a treat to have during the hot summer months- as are the two huge beautiful blue hammocks under the large shady trees next to the pool. There is a sweet children's park with swings and monkey bars that my two boys love to play on and a fenced in dog park that the neighborhood dogs get to run free in and play with each other. There are dog waste stations located conveniently scattered throughout all areas of the property and they are always cleaned and restocked with new waste bags for use. We adore living here and can't imagine a better place to call home. Thank you Southwood Acres!

This place is a ripoff. Overpriced, poor upkeep, gouge residents at move out to keep your deposit wrongfully. I lived there for 11 months. I would give zero stars if I could. Beware!

Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in! Let’s run down the list: I moved in during Covid and had to pay for an unused month to secure the apt and they assured us it was clean (given they had over 5weeks WITH paid rent) and there were bugs in the window sills. No screen door, took weeks to get one, it was not new and was installed poorly where we could barely use it. Microwave stopped working within the first month of moving in. The floors are uneven. You can’t have rugs near any door because the door won’t be able to open. The ceilings are also uneven. There are nails coming up through the carpet that will stab your feet. Random permanent fixtures that leave small gaps of space that’s too small to use but big enough to be annoying and drop things into (in bathroom and kitchen). Paint is chipped. So lazy they painted over scotch tape! The caulking in the tub was coming up as well as the cheap “tile”. And could never get rid of the dirt marks in the tub so it always looked dirty. Some outlets and switches didn’t work. There is no air flow into the second bedroom at all. Heat typically never worked. Poor ventilation in the bathroom. People park their cars where ever they want to and management does nothing about it. Maintenance enters without any notice at all. They complain about people picking up after their dogs and leave the waste bins overflowing for weeks at a time. Lots of turn over in the office and zero response from regional management so you get what you get which is close to nothing. Oh! And a 15% increase in rent to renew to “keep up with market rent.” I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I tried to rent an apartment last week. They straight out lied about a special and tried to rent me a different unit from the one I wanted.... if this is how they treat prospective tenants, what happens after you're there? Terrible! Very disappointed!

The apartments look nothing like the pictures. They haven't been updated since they were first built. The windows in my apartment were so old and poorly insulated I was freezing in the winter. All maintenance told me was to put plastic over my windows. While the office staff is friendly, they do not respond well to issues and are not upfront about policies. Overall, not worth the money.

Usually you have to get a 2 bedroom to get all the amenities, but this one bed is huge (over 725 sq. Ft) and all the niceties including a washer and dryer. It is safe and neighbors are great. I never hear any noise from hallways or from tenants. Maintenance is excellent and pets allowed. I have had surgery and am home alot so I appreciate a place where everything works with such nice surroundings. You really need to check this out on apartments.com and you'll see what I mean.

After my husband passed away i neded to move back home. This is my first apartment and the people in the office are very helpful. I let them know about a couple of things that needed to be fixed and maintenance came the next day. The grounds are well kept. They also have a dog park which my dog loves. Have not had time to use the gym yet but plan on doing so very soon. They also have a nice pool. I found my apartment to be clean and very nice. Plenty of storage in the extra walk in closet which I think is an advantage. I would recommend Southwood Acres to my friends.

After sleeping on my sisters couch for 2 years while recovering from surgery I found a 1 bedroom at Southwood acres. I had been looking every day for months on several sites. Apartments. Com was much more informative with the most up to date specials. I have been here for over a year and love it. It's so quiet I can't believe I have neighbors. Maintenance is fantastic and everyone is friendly. I am now on disability and it takes most of my check to stay here but it's worth it. I would rather sacrifice other things to stay in an apartment I love so much. My Bengal cat Aristotle loves it here too. Maintenance will stop by just to play with him for a few minutes. If you are unable to work due to illness you should at least be able to enjoy the living space where you spend so much time.

I lived at Southwood Acres for just over a year, and only moved out when I received a job transfer. This was one of the nicest apartments I've lived in and they didn't immediately turn me away because I had a dog. My lab is incredibly well behaved & has never ruined anything, so it's heartbreaking when someone says I can't move there just because of my dog. My two bedroom was large and had plenty of storage for my shoes. I only had one maintenance issue, and it was resolved the same day. I'd move back if I'm back ever back in the area.
