I've loved living here! The management team is responsive, and the community has a friendly, welcoming vibe. My apartment is quiet, spacious, and well-maintained. It's a peaceful place to call home, and l'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality living.
Too many irrelevant emails. Nobody in the leasing office is nice or helpful. the parking garage gate is always broken. The building isn't clean either.

The move in process was a mess, multiple things in our unit were not working properly, and the neighbors are very noisy and disruptive at all hours of the night.

Beautiful community with some minor issues. For example, some floors are more difficult to get into due to the key badge system. We have asked neighbors if they have the same issues and they do as well. Other than that, property is safe, staff is professional and answered your questions In timely matters. South Alex has been great so far. I barely move my car since there’s so many stores in walking distance. The building is clean and I love the style of my apartment.
I love the amenities and the convenience of how close everything is in proximity to the residence. Staff is also very helpful with anything I should ask for.

I love how colorful and beautifully decorated all of the amenities are! My apartment is spacious and I love the accessibility of the Aldi! The leasing process was so fast and efficient. I applied on Thursday and moved in on Saturday!

Mantenice request are usually answered pretty quickly. I have had no problems with management. I wish there were more study rooms, but it is usually quite around 11pm. I haven’t had any problems

Great building and amenities but the residents don’t care about keeping the place nice. Trash rooms are always full and people leave their trash on the hallway floor instead of in the valet bins. Certain floors always smell like marijuana.

Overall, good facility. Some things like location and traffic aren't always ideal, but the apartment is nice. My complaint would be constant random fire alarm checks or easily triggered and a lot of fire trucks pass this area daily.

Dishwasher has been broken for over 10 days and I haven’t been given any update. Management gets switched all the time but no one is actually good and the one bald guy that works at the front desk is very rude

The management and leasing staff are very friendly and were super helpful during my transition to the area. Love the fitness center, and having a grocery store right downstairs is a big perk! 5mins from the metro line, 10mins to downtown.

So far, living here is the best option I did. The building is nice clean, I have everything I need around grocery store. Is close to the freeway and close to DC. My neighbors are very quiet sometimes I believe that I live alone and all this building. I always get my package in my previous apartment building. I always get lost my packages but here I always find it. Even if my package arrived super late they delivered in front office And nobody touch it from there. Love it. All the building amenity are great the pool the gym, . I’m going for two years now And I haven’t get no issue. Plus, the employer they really friendly and they always help us. We always had an update of any issue or somethings going on in our neighbor or with the building.

Overall experience is nice. Building is pretty, gym and pool are well maintained but constant problems with luxer app, dog park being dirty is making experience not as pleasant.

The noise level is beginning to increase by the night. There’s also a resident who resides here ( I believe them to be new here) who believes it is okay to speed and make obnoxiously loud noises with their car during quiet hours, everyday. Typically, when you enter a neighborhood at night or exit early morning, one is usually mindful of the noise levels knowing that there are families around. But it never fails. Wakes us up everytimeeeee!

Place is very nice and it’s in a great location. Management is great and always super helpful always responsive. Clean building, however, a good chunk of the residents are really dirty. They don’t throw the trash away right causing the room to overfill and they are always putting bulk items in there when they shouldn’t be. Otherwise a good chunk or clean and everyone is very polite around here.

Move-in was a breeze. Staff has been super helpful. However, I have experienced a slight inconvenience with maintenance issues regarding a smoke detector and dirty floors.

Overall, South Alex is nice to live, but too many people smoking in the garage, nearby the pool. The smell is very bad for residents aspecially kids. Everytime, when I just open the door to access the garage, the smell just go through my nose, my head which is so headache. Also, the pool is only opened short term from Jun to August. This is a minust point sine we pay amenity fee for the whole year. We would love if the pool can be opened a little longer since the weather is still very warm, summer is not over yet.

Great renting experience! Having only a very short walk to the Aldi downstairs was very convenient. It's nice to have direct access to each floor from the parking garage. Wonderful unit and amenities.

I have a nice spacious apartment that is connected to a major grocery store. And the staff has been helpful and nice. This is a classic win-win scenario. I only wish the concierges were on site 24 hours a day.

The apartment building itself is great - clean, decent amenities, but the noise from nearby fire depth can be a bit much time to time. The staff is pretty great as well.

Being a South Alex resident has been a terrible experience from onboarding to the present. Many staff persons, both desk liaisons and maintenance, are rude and do not value tenants. They do not communicate properly regrading missing mail or responding to maintenance requests. What makes it worse is they are supported at the regional and corporate levels. Oh, and any given day, you may walk through the indoor halls and have to step over dog poop from residents. I would not recommend anyone to move here! This has been the worst living experience of my life and I have successfully lived in three states and own property in one. If I could select zero stars, I would!
Great customer service from the leasing office. The apartments are beautiful. The maintenance team gets to you very fast and provides family like service.
It's a great place to live. Convenient to city and everything is accessible. Apartments are bit noisy and appliances are not energy efficient.
Life here has been wonderful. Everything that a person can think of is fingertips away and the staff here are the best. They're helpful, patient and friendly. The maintenance crew go above and beyond to make sure that whatever issues arise they're going to take care of it. Thank you Southalex!
