I've been living at Sonoma resorts at saddle rock for about a week now, and overall, it's been a positive experience. The location is super convenient, with easy access to grocery stores, and work. The apartments themselves are well-maintained, and I haven't had any major issues with appliances or anything breaking down. What I really appreciate is the common areas are also kept clean, and I enjoy the gym or pool. If I had to nitpick, I'd say that parking can sometimes be a challenge, especially in the evenings. But honestly, that's a pretty minor inconvenience. Overall, this is a great place to live, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient apartment.
Very quiet and comfortable community! Good and fast communication with management too! Plenty of parking and I appreciate that residents pick up after themselves.

We moved in a week ago and are loving this place. The neighbors are nice and quiet and the management is top notch staying on top of our needs. The grounds are beautiful and maintained. And we are surrounded by Saddle Rock golf course which is very nice. Shops and grocery store are close by as well as walking and bike riding paths. Only gave it 4stars because the age of the apartments is 25 years. Yet you can tell they are trying to g to make it as nice as possible for their tenants.

The leasing office does not take reports of vandalism, theft, seriously and rodent issues are still a problem. They simply quote back policy regarding these issues as not their responsibility. Any professional leasing office of a major apartment complex should take their residents' issues to heart. Also, the gym near my apartment has been closed over a year and is pain to go to the far end of the complex at 0300 in the morning. The Problem is that they’re not fixing or updating anything. It’s just locked up.

So far it's been good! I still haven't gotten my pool key or the fob to get in the other club house or trash can though other than that I like it here

Love it so far. Not sure if the gym on the Stonebriar side is available. We saw a company moving equipment in and out awhile ago. Only issue would be the rats & I think that may be a byproduct of people leaving their trash cans outside.

So far so good! There was a water leak and they were on it that day. Then they put up new boards and fixed what they could. Ran carpet dryers and replaced the pad underneath.

With the exception of a few things not being finished upon move in, everything has been great! The pool was not ready when it was time to move in and the complex was behind on maintenance requests. However, there is a new maintenance man in charge and he has been wonderful!

The building where I live is very quiet. I never see or hear any of my neighbors. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves. I've enjoyed living here so far.
The property is very clean and well managed. We love the area and everything it has to offer! While we haven’t used the amenities yet the pool area is beautiful! Our apartment is beautiful and brings us so much joy! All the people we have interacted with so far are so kind and inviting! Can’t wait to meet more of the community and our neighbors!
Living here has been one of the most frustrating, exhausting experiences I’ve ever had with a property. From the moment I moved in, it’s been disorganized, unprofessional, and at times, downright hostile. The original management was openly rude and combative. The new manager is visible but constantly deflects responsibility onto the front office staff. She makes promises that go nowhere, and when you follow up, you’re met with more excuses and attitude. Try to address an issue? You’ll either be ignored, blamed, or treated like you’re the problem. There is zero accountability. The office tone is defensive and dismissive—like you’re inconveniencing them by expecting the bare minimum. The maintenance process is a total joke. Work orders sit untouched. No one communicates when or if they’ll show up. The system they use doesn’t even sync with the office. The only saving grace is Alex—the head of maintenance—who genuinely tries to make things better. He’s professional and responsive, but clearly working against a system that sets everyone up to fail. Recently, they sent out a vague notice about unit inspections and battery replacements. No dates, no time windows. Instead, residents were told to lock their pets in a room for several days with no clue when someone might enter their apartment. Completely unreasonable and unsafe. As for amenities: the gym near my building has been locked for nearly a year, pools open late or go green, hot tubs smell like sewage, and the new key fob system still doesn’t work. Everything is broken, delayed, or dirty—and you’re still paying full price for it. Most shockingly: there are now multiple reports of theft and damage happening inside apartments—and guess what? No security cameras. None. No accountability. No protection for residents. If something happens to your unit, you’re on your own. And today, the office sent out a mass email scolding everyone over one person bringing their dogs into the hot tub area. Instead of handling it professionally, they took the opportunity to shame the entire community. It’s just another example of how this place operates: reactive, petty, and completely unwilling to take responsibility for anything that actually matters. This place is unsafe, mismanaged, and absolutely not worth what they charge. If you’re considering moving here, take this as your warning: don’t. You’ll regret it.
Love my apartment and its location. Haven’t been there long enough to know how responsive maintenance is yet. Hallway’s could use a cleaning and wish people would pick up after their dogs

We first got to the apartment went through the attached garage but the key didn't work for the door so we had to get in through the front. The agent said that they would get us a new key that day but we still haven't got one. The next day I was walking my dog when we came across a huge dead rat later I found about 10-20 rats in the dumpsters, the bushes, and digging around trees. A few days after the rat was still there and I had to email them to get it pick it up. I went to check the mail and the key doesn't work the leasing office said they would get it figured out and get back to me the next day but it's been 2/3 days now and I haven't heard anything There's trash that gets blown around it's kind of embarrassing to have friends/family over with 2 keys that don't work, rats everywhere and trash everywhere. The options they have for internet is god awful It is a quiet neighborhood everyone seems really nice and the apartments themselves are nice just the outside needs some work.

It happens in waves where I’m content and then just frustrated. The current management team is a bunch of liars. I asked for another mail key after my car was broken into and they just say they will get it but then I never get it after 4 months of asking. Maintenance is just now ignoring requests blaming the office saying that the request is complete when they never fixed the issue. There is some sewer issue and the toilet keeps backing up and I’m tired of quick fixes and I put in a maintenance request and no one cares. The location is great for my family is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. It is one of the cheaper rents is the only reason we stay here.

Overall my time here has been great. My unit has had minimal issues. There are things it being hard to have management return phone calls especially when I re-newed my lease. They could also better maintain the amenities. Pool and hot tubs consistently have had issues working properly. The gym is pretty much unusable. The 2nd clubhouse with the larger gym has never been offically open in my over 4 years being here and recently we have had some major issues with rats around the pool areas and garbage cans, it make you feel very uneasy to leave your garage open with fears that they could get into the apartments themselves

Love the location, the property is nice too. I just have an issue with the lack of maintenance. It’s takes over 2 months to get anything fixed, including a malfunctioning smoke detector. The maintenance team has also left my door unlocked during the day when nobody was home when they finally did get to fixing something.

I have lived here for five years . We love our apartment but our maintenance requests have been ignored taking upwards of two months to be carried out. Twice we have waited on a dishwasher ( still waiting) once we waited on an oven over Christmas a microwave for over a month and no kitchen light for three months over the holidays( which is still flickering but why bother reporting it) we love the location and pay plenty of rent but at this point I’m not sure I can recommend this complex.

I really like the apartment and grounds, but one of the window screens was ripped and would allow bugs to get inside. The dishwasher was flooded with water. The fridge was not cooling. And perhaps most important of all, the internet options available are a huge disappointment.

No one had any type of urgency to get things done. Apartments was disgusting, yet was said to be clean. Desk people just rush to get you off phones. They don’t give you a chance to talk nor listen to anything you have to say.

Pretty good so far. Neighborhood seems quiet. It’s close to my job and the grocery store we frequent. Only gripe is the gyms are not useable. Equipment is either broke or not available.

I like the rent price and love my unit. very private and super insulated, very quiet. My only delema is that the unit had old features, constantly something breaking. Especially handles, every door handle and even the shower handle. I have never had this issue before but if you could invest a tiny bit more in your handles and hardware and would really appreciate it.

Was able to do everything online. Very smooth and easy on moving day. Just went into learning office and picked up my keys. Very quiet community. Apartment is spacious 1 bedroom, yet cozy.

Office staff is of no help. Maintenance takes MONTHS unless its an emergency. Safety is of no concern. Sidewalks arent shoveled after snow, exterior lights on building have been out for months. Trash bins by mailboxes and for dog poop often overflow before they are emptied. Overall upkeep of the complex is poor. Its hard to keep paying rent when your landlord does NOTHING

I enjoy living at Sonoma Resort. Everything fits my needs. The only negatives I’d say would be finding a lot of trash around the property while walking my dog. And people who don’t pick up their dogs poo. I don’t enjoy stepping in it at 5am when it’s dark outside.

Everything was fine, until I had to go to leasing to get the keys. The white-skinned lady, whose name I don't know, has very poor customer service and doesn't help her residents at all. Whenever I go and require something, her answer is always no, she has no empathy with customers, she is in the wrong job, just because of her this beautiful place will look bad for future residents. It is worth highlighting that Mr. Carlos is always willing to help where possible and employs good social practices to carry out his work.

Good, convenient location. However maintenance never does anything, our apartment is covered in mold, or leaks, or paint splatter. The leasing office is impossible to work with and never answers the phone, you have to worry about your car being broken into or stolen, and they make you pay $35/month for a trash service that we personally have never used.

I’m still unable to submit a maintenance request because the portal is broken and there are no drop down menus. Per the response on My last review I was asked to reach out to management with my concerns at an email address that is inactive so have not been able to reach out. I wouldn’t expect anyone to respond anyway as they never do.

It has definitely gotten better over the past year. Amenities have been taken away. When we moved it it was year round pool and hot tub, and now it’s only during summer time. So that kind of suck since the price for apartments is pretty high. Other than that great spot.

Nothing gets done despite multiple request. My apartment was not cleaned or fixed ready for move in although i set everything up a month in advance and was told it’ll be move in ready on the 8th and still wasn’t done when i moved in on the 19th

The new management is so much worse than the last. They lie to your face and they are lazy until they are checked up on by the city. The crime in the neighborhood has been increasing with car break ins and packages being stolen. The apartment we live in is nice, but I don’t feel safe anymore. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

Leasing staff is not good. Can never get ahold of someone. Can never get manager to call or email back. Staff is rude. Overall property upkeep (emptying trash cans, etc) is poor. Recently it is taking weeks for maintenance issues to be taken care of

It started off great when I moved in about 10 months ago but then it started going downhill with the trashes, parking, car getting broken into, and our other vehicle getting towed illegally. When I emailed about the issues we had from trash, parking and loud upstairs neighbors, I was given no response back via email and nothing was done to help with the issues. I still have yet to hear back and I wrote to Sonama about 4-5 mo ago via email

My experience with Sonoma resort hasn’t been the best so far. It’s hard to get ahold of people in the office. Also my apartment wasn’t move in ready. I paid my rent and deposit so I expect it to be ready. The unit is outdated, Im missing a door handle, closet doors, water damage on wall that needs to be fixed, upside down cabinet and broken fireplace. I’m really disappointed because I was so excited to move in! But now I’m questioning my decision. I hope they can repair all the issues with my unit.
