The Elkridge Hanover neighborhood consists of two unincorporated communities, Elkridge and Hanover. Elkridge is one of the oldest settlements in Howard County, dating back to 1734. This beautiful community features several historic sites, including Troy, which dates back to 1694, when John Dorsey moved to the property. Very quiet neighborhood. Seems like a small maintenance team, so sometimes service requests take awhile to get resolved. Close to a lot of great places to shop/dine.
Good location. Close to all major outlets. Frequent maintenance issues happen but they resolve in timely manner. Overall its a decent choice.
Really great neighborhood, everyone is very friendly! My family and I have really enjoyed living here for the past few months! Management does a really good job with communication whenever something happens within the community. Maintenance responds quickly and makes sure to fix whatever needs to be fixed.
I have enjoyed my apartment life in Sherwood Crossing. In today's world stuff happens to people, which is beyond the control of those affected by "stuff." The bottom line still equates to Sherwood Crossing being an enjoying place to reside for me.
Maintenance need to learn how to do the most common part of their job which is follow up or check up and making sure they complete the work order before closing a ticket.

Very nice neighborhood apartments are very nice and spacious so far I'm really enjoying living here and the prices aren't so bad either I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an apartment

Things have been great so far. The move in experience was smooth, and maintenance was easy to work with. There was a little bit of a mix-up with when I'd be moving in, but it was no big deal.

So far so good. I love how it’s nice and quiet food spots are close and Columbia mall is close by. Staff are very helpful whenever I go in for questions. And one of my favorite is the gym is open 24/7

The property and location are fine. The issues of course come from management cutting corners. Lack of preventative maintenance, yes. What's grinding my gears in particular is that we have been charged a "damage waiver fee" for over a year now despite having renter's insurance without lapse. We've visited the office, talked on the phone, emailed about it, followed every instruction, sent our proof of insurance over a dozen times. They never stop charging us this fee. I feel gaslighted but I think they're just happy to take free money when people can't do anything about it.

Staff are very friendly. My rental agent did a great job responding to my emails and questions. I'm excited to use the gym and attend social events.

I have been working a lot since moving in but in the 2 weeks I have been moved n, I have no complaints really. There are only litttle things I've noticed that needs to be addressed but nothing major. The community is so welcoming, the staff are friendly. It's quiet and peaceful. It's the perfect place for me and my family. I'm greatful and happy here! Glad I moved in

I would not suggest this complex to anyone. The amount of times that the water has been shut off is too much for what they are charging for rent.

These disruptions are due to several mainline breaks within the county’s system, which have required temporary shut-offs to complete necessary repairs. We recognize that this remains an inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as the county works to resolve the issue.
It’s a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The amenities are also great, its good for families with kids. The good part parents might love is the school beside this community. If you have kids going for elementary, you might love it here since a school stands nearby and probably just a walking distance away.

It’s an OK place to live! A lot of noise from I-95 and planes in my specific location. Maintenance honesty is pretty quick and they have all been wonderful! Office staff is nice, have gone in there for a few things/questions and *most* individuals are proficient at their jobs. My biggest complaint is trash, people tend to put a lot of the trash next to the compactor rather than in it AND people tend to just pull up and throw their hazards on in the middle of the road. There are also just a lot of people/kids around since it is a large complex! One of the better complexes I’ve lived in!

Love living here. Love the pool and gym. The office is always helpful and friendly while being understanding. Sometimes the maintenance call take a little longer than I like. The parking can be very challenging if you get here after 6 pm. I do not understand why cars I’ve never seen before park right in front of myapartment. We live here and should be able to use these spots first. Groceries and picking up my daughter can be very difficult when you’re parked a long way from where u live. This needs to be fixed in some manner. Thanks

Overall a good experience if you are looking for a cheaper apartment. You will not get the kind of service and quality at this price what you get here. But if looking for a higher level apartments then go for something else.

Good place to stay, but buildings are old and buggies. If you dont stay in apartment all the time, then it is good area to stay.. Safe to stay

It’s been great living here for almost two years. Quiet and for the most part aside from car thefts, it’s a safe community. I really only wish they’d clean up the creek and all the trash they dump out behind building 12.

The people they hire to do maintenance are some of the laziest people, nothing is ever actually fixed - the trash never gets picked up on time or not at all. The vents constantly get clogged up to the point that the ceiling has fuzz everywhere and they refuse to do anything

Neighborhood is great. Maintenance staff is reliable management cares. Neighbors are good. Parking not horrible. I do think they should add some sort of security due to car theft and break ins.

I’ve been here almost 5 years and I still like it. I love the convenience to all the stores and restaurants. I just wish they would resurface the parking lot.

This is very family friendly apartment complex. Quiet and clean. The Maintenance response time is very good. Been here for 2 years, only complaint is that some of the units have popcorn ceilings and walls, so you’ll have to directly ask that you aren’t getting a unit with these wall textures , otherwise it’ll be a surprise for move in day. Lastly, they just need to get outdoor cameras to help maintain the safety and security of the neighborhood. The neighborhood is generally safe, but surrounding neighborhoods tend to freely enter this complex

Overall good experince, however lately the maintainance requests are not getting done. Its so hot outside and we are without AC which is so rediculous. Feeling frustrated.

Even though I just moved into my apartment a few days ago, I feel really comfortable and confident with Sherwood Crossing. From the start of my tour, the office staff greeted me and was very helpful. Staff worked together to smooth my moving process and it was a really positive experience. After my move in I noticed some maintenance issues, but my concerns have been quickly addressed by the maintenance staff who live onsite. The trash valet is very convenient. It’s a quiet community and I feel good about settling into my new place so far!

I have been living here for 2 yrs and so far I have had a great experience. The ladies in the office are so nice and personable. Love the events they put together. The maintenance guys are great. Requests are normally completed in 24-48 hours. Overall, this is a nice community to live in.

It’s an okay area, my apartment is very quiet , rent is affordable this day in age. As for the apartment, it’s a lot of cheap appliances and most of the stuff is poorly built especially the flooring is awful. The worst part about this neighborhood is parking, don’t expect to find a spot after 9 pm close to your apartment.

Sherwood Crossing is a great community with nice amenities for a fair price. I dropped the review by 1 star as there has been a real problem with automobile break-ins and thefts. This problem needs to be addresses, so that this community can return to being a fabulous place to live and socialize with friends and neighbors.

New resident in building are noisy, running halfway, plays music in hall, hangs out having loud conversation in hall daily. What was a quiet building has changed dramatically. Will not renew and plan to move as soon as possible
