Navy Yard extends along the Anacostia River, from roughly Capitol Street to Pennsylvania Avenue. It includes Nationals Park, home to the MLB's Washington Nationals, and the US Navy Museum. The neighborhood contains the Washington Navy Yard, a National Historic Landmark. Established in 1799, it is one of the country's oldest operating naval facilities. I lived in 70 capital yards for 2 years. I moved out in July when my lease ended and due to an oversight, Pepco kept charging me for electricity month after month.. Pepco finally pulled my name off the utility bill on Friday but it is the position of the Capitol yards leasing office that I pay for the utilities through September because it wasn’t their fault the bill was still in my name. What’s infuriating is that I am still getting weekly usage alerts and I can tell the days their staff is working on getting my apartment ready for the next tenants because I can see the daily usage and they are clearly running the AC in there on some days. They need to do the right thing and pay for the days after I moved out and not take advantage of oversights. Just know that they will take advantage of you anyway they feel they can get away with. Leasing office: please rectify this and I will withdraw this comment.

Do not rent here. My experience with 100 Capitol Yards has been nothing short of a nightmare. 14 months after I moved out, they claimed I owed hundreds of dollars in "move out charges" despite the management team assuring me all move out charges were cleared when I moved out. There was no communication from the management team that there were any issues. It's a clear example of the lack of accountability and transparency within the management team.

I recently toured 1Hundred and I had the best experience ever. The entire office team was so warm and welcoming. The layouts are very spacious and the walk-in closet sizes are unmatched in Navy Yard. I am not able to move in until November but I plan to sign a lease once apartments come available for my movein date. I must say, compared to the other buildings in the neighborhood, I felt an increased sense of 'Home' when I visited 1Hundred. Move here! I'm almost sure u won't regret it.

This is a review about the parking management at 100 Capital Yards. I have now come back to my spot being taken a total of 6 times. The parking situation here is out of control and there is no semblance of an effort to rectify it. My spot has been reassigned to other cars in the neighborhood. This is not the spot being taken by a random car who gets into the garage this is a reflection of the poor management of this property by assigning my already assigned spot to other residents. The concierge gave me a guest spot for a compact car in the interim. I have been trying to get in touch with the leasing office for over a week now sending multiple emails and calling multiple times. Not one of my attempts to contact them have been returned. I have not heard back from anyone. I spoke with another resident at the concierge desk who also iterated a similar experience of having a terrible time with parking. This management first of all cannot figure out this parking situation and second of all does not even respond to rectify the situation and is handling the situation very unprofessionally.

Biggest mistake I’ve made is living here. They will go above and beyond to try to take advantage of you. We complained 8 times via email and made numerous stops into the leasing office about our neighbors and nothing was done. If you want to live in a well maintained frat house this is the place for you. We’ve had someone banging on our door with a fire extinguisher to homeless sleeping on the sidewalk. This place is not family friendly or safe by any means. There is security that drives around at night but the most they will do is cite someone for parking in a designated spot. Don’t expect them to help you because they won’t. The outside of the buildings are dirty and full of dust and cobwebs. The only thing I give them is that the vegetation is somewhat well maintained. Don’t expect to get your security deposit back.

Living at 100 Capitol Yards has so far been fantastic! The leasing office & front desk attendants are extremely friendly and helpful, the location is great, and the unit itself has a great layout with modern finishes. I'd also like to note that the application & move-in process were particularly smooth, largely due to the hard work from Lauren in the leasing office. I was moving from out of state and very stressed about making sure the unit was in order and ready for move-in, and she helped me every step of the way. Whether it was taking photos, sending updated documentation, answering random questions I had, or just checking into to share relevant updates - she made sure it all went off without a hitch. That left me with a wonderful first impression of the community that has continued to hold true! Would highly recommend 100 Capitol Yards to anyone looking to move into the DC area.

100 Capitol Yards is good for its value. Although there are issues, as there are at any apartment complex, the staff works very hard to get them resolved as quickly as possible. Great location and amenities.

While one of the oldest buildings in the Navy Yard area, 100 Capitol Yards is one of the best-maintained apartments. This, and the size of the apartment is what drew us to this apartment instead of one overlooking the Anacostia River.

Have to give a shout out to Antoinette at the front desk. She is incredibly professional and passionate about her job. She knows most of the residents by name and everyone always stops to chat with her in the afternoon. If I can't get something done with the help of the front desk in the morning, I always know I can wait until the evening so that I can have Antoinette help me. Because she knows your name, the moment she sees you she has your packages ready for you to sign out. The building is dog friendly and my dog warmed up to Antoinette pretty quickly and he always tries to get a treat out of her. She is super goal-driven and is a fantastic asset to Bozzuto Management. I hope she gets the professional development opportunities she deserves because she is a hard worker and the best part about this building!

The best of the capitol yards properties due to large floor plans in a relatively small (250ish unit) community, all backed up by a fantastic staff. Joni is the best concierge in Navy Yard and is literally always a joy to see on your way out the door in the morning. Prices are very reasonable, especially from a price-per-square-foot perspective; while most other buildings in the neighborhood offer 1 bedroom apartments in the 550-700 square foot range, 100's start around 700 square feet and exceed 800 sq ft in some cases. Smaller community mean fewer neighbors to split the modern amenities with. Location is great too; less than a 5 minute walk to the Navy Yard metro and only 10ish to the Cap South metro with blue/silver/orange line access.

My experience at 70 Capitol Yards has been poor. While the staff and maintenance are very nice, there have been a number of building issues that management seems unable or unwilling to address. In particular, periodic smoke or marijuana has been a serious problem. With health issues, this is not simply an annoyance but a real problem. I have been disappointed that something as serious as this has not been remedied by management.

We have lived here for 2 1/2 years. There is a lot to like: the gym, the concierge, the common space down stairs, the trash pick up is reliable, and it is a great location if you work on the Hill. However, the elevators never work (2 elevators, plus a freight), which is a nightmare during the summertime when everyone is having guests over to the pool on top of the building (more on this later). It can take up to 20 minutes when there is only one elevator working and the freight is being used by someone moving in or out (generally all day on the weekends). For some reason, one elevator is always broken on the weekends, and management refuses to pay the fee to have a team come out to fix it. So, that means if you want to leave your apartment and you live above the first floor and depend on the elevators, you are going to wait about 20 minutes each time. It's even more fun Monday mornings when everyone is leaving to work and the elevator is still broken. Back to the pool situation...It is very nice to have such great amenities that we fund with our rent. It's a shame that the grills are constantly broken because of overuse and the pool is constantly at capacity because the building never hires security to enforce the wristband policy. Each apartment gets three wrist bands (maybe two if it is a single occupant), but it never matters. Guests overflow the pool area every summer and tenets are left with no where to sit and are often simply not admitted on to the pool deck because of overcrowding. When management is informed of this issue multiple times every summer, they still do nothing. It'd be okay if it happened once every few weeks, but it happens every weekend the pool is open. So say goodbye to all that extra money you are paying to have a pool and rooftop grills. Unless of course you enjoy having a frat party breaking out at your pool each weekend and drunk people spilling beverages on the lobby floors and in the elevator that is working. Beyond that, there is now construction everywhere in this neighborhood, which means there are jack hammers going at it by 7 am on weekdays, and around 8 am on weekends. Another gripe is that they used to wash windows twice a year. Now we are lucky if they wash them once a year. The windows are disgusting, especially with all the construction going on in the neighborhood. When it comes down to it, just don't move here.

This is the perfect building for young professionals (especially those with pets). We love the amenities (especially the free printing in the business center, the grills, and the pool). The neighborhood is evolving every day, with great parks, new bars and restaurants to explore, and--of course--Nats Park.

I've been living at 100 Capitol Yards for almost a year and I couldn't be happier. My unit has 1 bedroom den, 2 bathrooms, walk-in closet, W/D in unit, great kitchen and tons of space. The building is well-kept, management is friendly, 24-hr concierge seevices, and minor repairs (which are rare) are done within 24 hrs. The building is within walking distance of many restaurants, Nats Stadium, Harris Teeter, and it's a 5 minute walk to the Metro. I don't use the common areas that much, but they're there if you need them (business center, gym, pool, lounge, etc). I highly recommend this place.

The location is convenient to metro, grocery stores, restaurants, and parks. The neighborhood has improved significantly in the last few years (I've been in the building six years), and there are now more options. The building's staff is unobtrusive and generally helpful. Some of the people who work the front desk are great--particularly the people who are there when you're coming in after work, and that's the person that really matters. The closet is big, the kitchen has great storage, and the big windows let in a lot of light. The courtyard is nice but loud at times (if your apartment faces the courtyard). The amenities are convenient but not stellar. The fitness room is small, but I've never seen it crowded. The rooftop pool is small (but it's still a rooftop pool). I rarely hear my neighbors or the people living above me.

I live in an 1 bedroom plus den. The bedroom is very spacious with a large walk in closet. The den is large enough to be utilized as a second bedroom and is most likely the same size as a bedroom that you would find listed as a 2BR anywhere else in the city. All new appliances and wooden flooring. Having the washer and dryers in each unit is also a major plus. The amenities are also very nice. The rooftop pool is never packed and the gym has all modern equipment. Great outdoor patio on the first floor as well. Common areas are well maintained and staff incredibly helpful. Only complaint is that there is a non-negotiable $400 amenities fee, which seems a little pricy for access for a pool only opened for 3 months a year. The building is in a great location, locked only a 5-10 minute walk from 2 metro lines. Lots of restaurants and new bars popping up in the neighborhood, and only 3 blocks away from the Nationals ballpark. Overall, great building and location for competative DC pricing
