It is home to the University of Minnesota-UMore Park along with several industries, including Flint Hills Resources oil refinery, the Pine Bend Refinery -- the largest in the state. Rosemount is adjacent to the Minnesota Zoo and is across from the Grey Cloud Dunes Scientific and Natural Area, a great place for hiking, bird and wildlife viewing, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.
