Riviera at West Village has a great design with a safe inner courtyard, parking on your level, responsive and competent maintenance staff. Its location near the Katy Trail, inner courtyard and West Village are definite pluses. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I really cannot think of any negatives.

I am so happy to be back at Riviera At West Village. I had to move away for a year but now that im back I feel like im home. The location and staff are the greatest, but having a smart home is also amazing for so many different reasons!!

If you are looking for a great location to live, and do not care about the appearance and quality of your home, Riviera is a good place to live. In my experience, it is one of the worst places to live in Uptown. The units smell old, every week something break. Every week they need to fix the water where we don't have running water for hours.

This is a decent apt for the area, but it has alot of issues that are not shared before renting or touring the complex. The water is shut off all the time, there are random guests coming and going due to short term rentals with airbb, it is super loud with landscaping and trash, and poor insulation for the outer units. The gate to get in is nice

I've lived here for about a year and I have loved it! The management office is very attentive and wants all residents to feel safe and cared for. The property has done many improvements in my short time being here like adding 2 gyms, landscaping, a resident quick mart - it's all great! I always recommend this building to people looking for apartments.

This place needs a new property/community manager. It’s gone downhill since December. I would recommend hiring someone with a pleasant attitude. Otherwise I enjoy the location. Current maintenance staff and leasing staff are very nice and friendly.

Living at the Riveria is awesome! Great staff, I feel safe and it’s close to everything! Walking distance to Katy Trail and west village makes it a desirable place to live. You get the feel of living in a big city yet you have trees and it’s a pretty quiet community!

I cannot say enough good things about Jaleesa and the apartment renting process. I have looked at at least 20 properties uptown, for comparison. From the beginning she was so welcoming and helpful. Initially the only unit available was a smaller unit, so I leased that one and mentioned that if a bigger unit became available that I'd want it. Jaleesa remembered and called me a week before my move in date (last time I spoke with her was like 2 months ago, idk how she remembered!!) about the bigger unit. She even stayed late that day until I got off of work to look at the unit and sign the new lease. I have been overwhelmed with the whole moving process but she has been so helpful and made it a breeze. She is so genuinely kind and I am so excited she is the manager here, as I know she will help me with any problem. Highly recommend!! I NEVER leave reviews bc it's time consuming and I hate having to make accounts, but I want everyone to know how great she was during this whole process. I can't say enough good things about her!! I just realized that I didnt even mention the apartment and the grounds of riviera. It is beautiful! Grills, couches, tables, hammocks, spots to hang out outside everywhere on the property, and the unit is great as well. It has the most square feet compared to all other apartment properties that I looked at, AND it is the cheapest. I have no idea how I lucked out with that. I definitely recommend moving here!

Riviera has a fantastic front office staff and good maintenance staff. They do their best to ensure that residents are comfortable and happy with their living situations and act promptly when something needs to be addressed. I had a lot of problems with my unit when I first moved in and every interaction I had with staff was great.

Al llegar el piso tenía una paga de pulgas y de moscas. Estuvimos meses conviviendo con ellas, con picaduras en las piernas y muy a disgusto. El control de plagas vino en varias ocasiones pero aún así se necesitaron varias semanas para eliminarlas del todo. En la bañera, en la cocina, en el salón... nos quitábamos pulgas de los tobillos y de los brazos, teníamos picaduras hasta en la cara!! Realmente fue decepcionante tener que convivir con este tipo de insectos, no pensamos que eso pudiera pasar en Riviera, y desde la administración se limitaron a contestar nuestros emails, pero jamás nos ofrecieron una compensación económica en el alquiler o vivir temporalmente en otro apartamento. A parte de esto el apartamento es muy oscuro y tiene un patio que no merece la pena usar (suelo de cemento y un muro que le quita toda la luz, lleno de hojas constantemente que se cuelan por abajo, aunque yo barra todos los días, cuando pasan con el soplador de hojas o cuando hace viento se cuelan por debajo). Ahora nos mudamos y nos exigen pagar una limpieza profesional de las moquetas aunque eso no está en el contrato que firmamos.

I've been living at Riviera for almost a year and a half, and it's a decent place to live. The front office is great and friendly. The residents here are, in general, very respectful and quiet. Several bars are within walking distance, restaurants, Katy Trail, movie theater. There's a Walgreens and CVS nearby. My only complaints for shops would be that I wish there were more recreational/entertainment shops nearby or some places to pick up stuff like art or decorations. There was a situation where someone was stealing mail, and I think once or twice cars were broken in to, including my own. They stole a dollar in change from me, but I don't keep anything of value in my car. The apartments are a mixed bag. The bedroom faces the interior of the complex, so noise isn't an issue when sleeping. The walls are great, and you'll never hear your next door neighbor. The bedroom has a large closet, and is fully carpeted in my unit. There are real wood floors. The kitchen is adequate, with good appliances and plenty of cabinet space. It feels like there's a lot of wasted space. The bathroom is oddly shaped. the wall between the kitchen and living room would be better off not existing. If you get a unit without a balcony, there's a "sunroom" with a wall dividing the dining and the sunroom. That entire wall kind of ruins the space. If you get a sunroom, pay attention to the downstairs unit. If they've got a patio, the floor in that area gets ice cold during the winter, and spreads to the living and dining room floor. Don't expect to be able to fully utilize the space since it's so cold in winter. Now the major cons. Much of the complex faces Lemmon or Cole. Those streets are LOUD. It took me a few weeks to get used to it, and unless a Harley drives by I don't really hear it anymore. I have a small balcony. I haven't used it since I moved in. The traffic is so obnoxiously loud, I've just left the doors shut for over a year. If you get a balcony, don't plan on relaxing on with a drink after work. It's too loud. Don't expect a lot of natural light. The apartments are narrow with windows on either end, and there are trees surrounding the complex. There is a large window in the bedroom, but you'll probably keep the blinds closed 24/7/365, as all the residents seem to do. Finally, there's the floors. Be prepared to hear your neighbor above. The wooden floors really cause a lot of noise. Overall, this isn't a terrible place to live, but there are some issues.

We have been living at Riviera in a 1315sqft 2/2 since May 2017 and we absolutely love it. We spent a long time looking around Uptown for the right floor plan and space for us, and the apartments here are beautifully designed with plenty of living space and closet/storage space! It's almost impossible to find this amount of space for and great amenities for the price. We think Riviera is perfectly situated - 30 seconds on foot from the West Village which has coffee, shopping, restaurants, bars and a movie theater, but yet Riviera is quiet! We like how easy it is to park and that the cars are secure inside the building. We love our spacious balcony which we have an 8 seater table and chairs on. We love the pool and the cardio room and weights room. The leasing office is friendly and they do a great job managing all our packages! The maintenance team keep the building looking great and they are friendly and approachable. We like the valet trash service. We have a small dog and think the facilities for animals here are excellent. The residents are a great mix of young professionals, and young families, and the pool and bbq/common areas are plenty spacious for everyone to enjoy. Really I don't have anything negative to say. I think we'll resign another 12 month lease if they'll have us!

The property has had a recent change in management, which has been positive for the property. The front office is very responsive and friendly. They have routinely gone above and beyond. The property itself is quiet in the middle of Uptown. Walking distance to everything. We've been happy with our home here.
