Fort Lee is a suburban borough located where the New Jersey Turnpike meets the George Washington Bridge, right across the river from Washington Heights. The combination of excellent public schools, very low crime, and easy access to Manhattan make Fort Lee a highly popular location for commuters raising families.
The center of town is filled by a large shopping and dining district anchored by the Oaktree Mall, which draws large crowds from the surrounding communities. Fort Lee Historic Park and the Hudson Palisades cover much of the borough’s waterfront area, providing scenic views and tranquil natural environments for your leisure time. Rental rates can be rather steep, but there are numerous apartments, condos, and houses in the borough that are quite affordable.

Property Ratings at Riverview Towers
My wife and I moved into 2175 Hudson Terrace in May 2021 and have enjoyed living here for the past four years. We’ve truly appreciated the Fort Lee community, and this building offers great value for the neighborhood. Our apartment was spacious, included a dedicated parking spot, and was conveniently located near a park — everything we were looking for in a home. The building staff has been consistently friendly and helpful. Tim has been especially outstanding, as has Jose from maintenance. John in the leasing office has also been a great support whenever we needed assistance. While no place is perfect, we found the overall experience very positive. Light sleepers may notice some street noise, though I personally didn’t mind it and even enjoyed the background sounds. Occasionally, the radiators can be a bit noisy in the winter. Overall, 2175 Hudson Terrace has been a great place to live, and we’re grateful for our time here.
If you like cockroach infested, banging pipes, and cold showers, this is the place for you.
if you want random construction waking you up without a heads up in the AM, loud banging sounds from the heater in the winter, roaches, and nasty staff, this is the building for you. don’t let the price fool you this place is the worst.
If there was something less than one star, I would have given them that. I have been in the US for 11 years, liven in four different states. This place is by far the worst to live in. The management are doing literally nothing but have you sign the contract. They do not tell you everything about what documents you will be signing until you are there in their office and made the decision to move in. I was driving with a long distance from another state with my family thinking that it is a matter of signing the contract to find out that I have no choice but sign a document stating that I cannot reach out to authorities against them. I realized why they needed that document signed when I lived here. Everything is extremely old, the place is overpriced, and management is the worst management I have every dealt with in my life. WHen you have a maintenance request, you can talk to the doorman, but when the maintenance is delayed the doorman may ask you to talk to the management. When you talk to the management, they tell you to talk to the doorman, and you would keep going on and on until someone finds the time to fix your problem (which could be an emergency, but they literally do not care about you!). They tell you they pay for heat, however, you will find yourself paying as the heat could either be very extreme to the extent that you may wake up with a bleeding nose or your kid wakes up with a bleeding lip. So, you either use fans to cool the rooms out, or use additional heating units when the heat malfunctions or they chose to not turn it on. SOmetimes you may want to get in the shower for a warm shower, but unfortunately you find only cold water coming out. It is a huge mess not a place to live and feel comfortable. Do not be tricked by the location (which is very nice) or the view from the balconies (which is also nice). The doormen are actually very nice too. but the view and doormen are not what you are renting an apartment for!
Terrible. Don't be fooled by the rent concession. Terrible building in a great neighborhood!
You pay for wonderful square footage. The rest of amenities are horrible. Old radiators that bang loud in the winter. Additionally the heat gets turned off every hour. And more so during the day. Laundry facility is very dirty. Old machines that will cost you $3 per machine! And won’t wash anything because they are very old and gross.
I have never dealt with such a horrible management team! Application was completed and paid for, deposit was also in transit. The day I followed up to make sure the security deposit arrived, was told that the apartment was no longer available!!!!! Was never kept in the loop about the possibility of someone else taking the apartment! Was just in contact with them 3 days prior to finding this information out that they would wait 3 days for my deposit, which it did! Turns out they offered the apartment to someone else without any warning or follow up! This has caused such an inconvenience for me as I had already made arrangements to move in less than 1 MONTH! Very disappointing dealing with this property. I AM EXTREMELY LIVID that they would do something like this. On top of that, they would not even give me the courtesy of returning my application fee because they stated the contract says they don't have to!!! Such heartless people!!
We saw several 2bd 2bath units. Some are renovated, some are not. 9D was the best unit- renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, overhead lighting installed in living room (no other unit had this), balcony with a city view (rather than a view of the parking lot), better layout, plus it's the top floor so you don't have to worry about loud neighbors above you. There are other options but you have to ask for this unit specifically.
It's a great apartment the view it's really nice I love the energy here
Pros: * Very spacious, * competitive rent, friendly working staff, supers + doorman all really helpful and friendly people. Many units are being refurnished with new tenants. Cons: * Old building * temperature wise, some units are very hot and some units are very cold, all depending on which unit you go into. * Very expensive laundry machines * Intercom does not work on all units
