Stillwater is part of the Twin Cities area, sitting on the northeast side of St. Paul across the river from Wisconsin. Commuters can reach St. Paul via Highway 36 in less than 20 minutes, and public transit is also available. Minneapolis is just 24 miles southwest of Stillwater. Once mainly a resort area, more and more new residents are discovering that Stillwater is simply too pretty to only visit on weekends.
