Living here has been a good experience. The staff is helpful, and the area feels safe. Maintenance is usually quick, and the apartment is comfortable. I’ve enjoyed my time here.

As average as average can possibly be. They're really isn't anything more to say than that, but this stupid review makes me have a minimum amount of words. So to dig deeper in, the staff is lackadaisical, the maintenance team is nonexistent, despite being on site everyday. It's not a great place to live but in this area, what really are your options.

Moving has its own unique ups and downs, but the staff here made all the little hiccups under their control bearable! Thank you for handling my questions and guiding me through this process!

Staff is nice but that is the only positive thing I can say about the community at this time.

Everyone in the main office was so kind and welcoming and the process was so easy, and the tour was so good. The apartment are so nice and well kept!

Great place to live! The residents are so friendly! We felt welcomed right away. Nice location. Very quiet. I do not hear my neighbors which is so nice for apartment life.

Awesome I would have asked for a more awesome place to live. It’s close to all things in and around lake Jackson and fairly quiet. They are upgrading the trail so I can’t wait for that to be usable. Oh and the pool is magnificent although you are only 20 min from Surfside beach so that’s very convenient.

I enjoy living here very much. Repairs service is quick and excellent. But I have this against you. The landscaping maintenance is terrible. We really need a better grounds keeper. There are many leaning trees, dead bushes, empty overgrown beds. Also one of my favorite amenities was the wilderness trail but the path is still not usable because of the fallen trees from the hurricane last year neither is the path around the giant ditch. You can’t walk around it because the bushes and weeds block the walkway.

The only complaint I have is about the pool. It's absurd, it's been closed for almost a year, they always give some excuse and never fix it.

When I first moved in was a great place to live. Since the hurricane owners/management have done very little to repair/replace doors, lights and structures that were damaged. The pool has been inoperable since July and the landscaping is horrible. This place has gone from one of the nicest places to live to just another rundown apartment complex where the owners fail to help management make the necessary changes to keep this complex at the standard that is advertised. Will look too non renew when my lease is up if improvements are not made and will be sure to spread the word to other possible tenants. Thank you for your time Kerry

I feel like the apartment complex is not well maintained. The pool is still not in operation and it is summertime. This was a huge issue last summer too after the hurricane in July the pool was closed down for several months and not cleaned properly. Landscaping is also not maintained very well and the hallways are very dirty. The staff is nice and helpful but the property itself is not good.

The best thing about the apartment is the elevators, would be nice if they were regularly cleaned. Don’t get excited about the hot tub cause it never works. The rooms themselves are nice, and it’s nice that it’s gated and kinda hidden. I wish management kept the complex as clean and as nice looking as the apartments used to look when they first got built. I have a feeling that it’s all going to turn pretty gross in the next few years due to lack of regular cleaning.

I absolutely love living here! The community is welcoming, well-maintained, and feels comfortable. The staff is friendly and responsive, and there’s a great sense of communication with the residents. It's truly a wonderful place to call home!

I really like my apartment. The staff is very nice and helpful. However, the building hallways and stairwells are very dirty. The landscaping is terrible. Weeds everywhere, dead shrubs, and trees falling over. Finally, the gym equipment is not maintained and there is no cleaning spray to wipe off surfaces.

Quiet Clean Place to Live. Like having an attached garage. The Reserve has been very good about completing needed repairs in a timely manner.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The property is clean, well maintained, quiet and peaceful . Beautiful apartment with stunning kitchen high ceilings and lots of windows for natural light.

The Reserve at Lake Jackson in Modern, Safe, Clean, and has all the amenities of a luxury living community. The staff are very profession, courteous, friendly, helpful and elevate the experience of being a resident there.

Management is always friendly and helpful! Haven’t lived here long but so far so good, we love the scenery of the woods and being able to walk our little one around the nice complex!

The service at Reserve is simply amazing! I’m so glad I live here. Cole is an incredible manager! The amenities are top-notch, and everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Still issues need to be addressed and cleaned up. Property landscaping is still a mess from Hurricane Beryl. It's been 6 months and trees are still down or laying sideways. Pool, what can I say, I feel they don't have proper equipment to clean pool as it has been mentioned by grounds personnel. No resolution or communication on when or if pool will be fixed and back to its originality. The hot tub has its own issues too. It's been closed since Hurricane Beryl. So there's that Property is nothing like it was when we moved in and since new ownership took over...just very sad, I leased here cause of amenities and property upkeep.

Complex is way over priced for what you get. Issues do not get resolved and are blown off. I would not recommend to others based on my experience.

Local staff is clueless. Pool down for more than 6 months, and currently embarrassingly filthy, trash dempster is often full and poorly maintained, local landscaping not maintained, residents with dogs not held accountable for pet waste and NOISE!….yes, barking dogs! New residents stack unwanted items by the dumpster and do nothing that is obvious about holding these people accountable.

The community was nice a year ago when I moved in, but as I lived here, even before the hurricane, maintenance fixing things correctly the first time was an issue, & continues to be an issue.

We have been here since February 2024 and The Reserve of Lake Jackson is an awesome community to be in. My family and I enjoy the community.

We recently renewed our lease because we enjoy living here. So far we’ve had minimal issues, which has been nice. I do wish the pool wouldn’t have been closed so much towards the end of the summer/year, but I’m excited for summer again! The new maintenance crew are super nice and helpful. I’d still recommend this complex over most!

This is probably the dirtiest complex I’ve lived in. I’m currently documenting everything and looking for ways to break my lease within lawful guidelines. This place is roach infested, ants everywhere, dog poop all over the halls and walkways. The elevator is always out, which is like a handicap violation or something. Don’t move here, you’ll hate it

The complex is beautiful and well kept. I love the quiet and peaceful environment. The neighbors I have met have been very friendly. I'm looking forward to living here

I am loving the apartments so much! The neighbors are chill and the front office does an amazing job keeping everything in check! The apartment complex is clean and free of clutter.

The Reserves Apartments are nicely located -surrounded by woods, but close to the booming small town of Lake Jackson which has parks, recreation, restaurants, shopping. It’s 45 miles from Houston and 15 miles from the beach. The complex is relatively new with good management and attractive features.

Used to be pretty good. Not now. Trespassers allowed in the pool, now the pool is closed. Saftey items neglected. Elevator was inop for several weeks. Trash often piles up at dumpster. Abandoned vehicles remain so long that vegetation is growing inside. Until just recently the hallways were not cleaned. Courtyard furniture broken for several months. Artificial grass was mowed and never replaced. Walking trail not being properly landscaped. Unsafe to walk due to excessive vegetation.

Safe, Clean, Modern, Friendly, close and convenient to a variety of local shops, stores and restaurants.

Elevators are never working. Swimming pool has not recovered since Hurricane. Trash everywhere. Management wants to put blame on everyone else except poor management.

Office staff are nice. Grounds are not kept up, dog poop in the walkways, elevator hasn’t worked for most of my lease. Breezeway areas look dirty and stained.

The community is going down. It is no longer the beautiful place to live. I was a proud resident three years ago! There are light poles, dead leaves, trees, etc., still down since Beryl. A deep pot hole remains open after about six months. The hallways, elevators, and stairs are filthy. The landscaping is awful. It’s sad to see all of the beautiful flowers, trees die when they just needed some water and care. The area designated for tv watching, ping pong, bean bag toss, is dirty. There are no ping pong balls. The tvs don’t work.

Easy move in process, friendly management and great amenities! I love that our apartment has windows that open up to the woods/forest area behind us. Peaceful and quiet!

This is the perfect place to relax at home. It’s my place of solitude. Lake Jackson has been my home since I was a child. Lots of my friends have moved away, but to me this place is always my home.

Corporate seems to not communicate with residents about property issues and updates. Property needs attention badly Office personnel only gives excuses and no resolutions been given. Comments made that they are over it and have no answers to property issues. This property is going down hill fast

I moved into the Reserve February 2022.. lived there until October 2023. They added fees charged me random things and told me after I moved out I owed money even tho property management said I paid everything but carpet cleaning fee and my water for October. Found out 3mths later I was being charged $6k because “I didnt get out of my lease properly” and they “helped” me get the fee to $600 and then couldnt and wouldnt explain why I was being charged $600 when I asked for an explanation but instead hung up on me multiple times and refused to answer my calls. Here I am almost a year after move out and still fighting them.. im not the only one either. Other people who lived there the same time I did had issues too. Save your money. Dont rent from GreyStar

Between the excellent staff and atmosphere, the move to the Reserve has been pleasant and smooth. Excited to call this place my new home!!!!

They are so helpful and nice here. I move in on the 23. They have made the transition easy for me. Thank you for that. I can't wait to use the facility avaliable for exercise to having a good time.

Staff is always nice and takes care of issues accordingly. I appreciate the updates done often through email. Everyone seems to be very friendly in the office and handle matters efficiently.

My experience has been mostly positive. The leasing staff are friendly and helpful. The complex is mostly quiet and peaceful. Improvements could be made with the elevators and alarms, but I feel safe most of the time. I enjoy the complex.

The landscaping around the property looks terrible. They mulched in the spring at the office but forgot the rest of the property. There are many dead bushes and trees around the property that have been dead since the freeze years ago and not replaced. The trash is a whole other nightmare. Stacks up every weekend for all the workd to see and smell. We pay for valet but they use every excuse to not run. Gates are a joke as well, never work and not kept up. People are constantly parked in fire lanes, esp in the back of the property. The trail is not kept up and is basically, dangerous at best. Many vehicles around that are never moved and probably don’t run. We can hardly ever park anywhere near our residence. Those vehicles should be moved to the large lot or removed all together. Pool is a waste as it is occupied by non residents. For the amount we pay a month, no bargain to be had here, just eyesores…
