Front entrance to my building has dead bushes and large bare spaces. Also, I have requested a trash can in the laundry room since the fire in January. Nothing yet. No other problems currently.

Everything after move in started to break down lights falling out the ceiling dishwasher not working washer dryer not working etc maintenance mark the maintenance as complete and fixed when the problem isn’t fixed

The apartment size is good, but the units, bathrooms, and hallways are pretty dated. There’s a serious waterbug issue—I’ve found them dead and alive in my unit. The gym is old and really needs an upgrade, yet we still have to pay extra for amenities and parking. Rent just went up by $200, which feels unreasonable given the lack of updates.

Only complaint’s would be no visitor parking Half of the residents park on the street. Plenty of empty parking spaces. Need at least 2 visitor parking passes And no 24 hr access to the gym

I would like to see some clean up and plant updates. Most of the bushes by the walkway to my unit are dead. Also the dumpster is halfway in the middle of the parking. It needs to be moved back. It would be nice to have the cleaning crew wipe out the washing machine. We also need a waste basket in the laundry. I have requested it after the fire, but nothing.

Well maintained area, no roaches which was a huge plus factor for me when moving in, and maintenance gets things fixed pretty quickly. Only real complaint is walls are pretty thin. You can hear too much from other rooms and other apartments

It would be cool if I could get a parking pass for my work van. Other than that it’s nice and quiet community! Haven’t been to the gym yet, but the dog park looks nice. And I like the fact that the apartment is close to shopping centers!

Ive been here less than a month. I moved from out of state. Despite the bugs, ones that im not used to everything has been going smoothly. A neighbor recommended some spray that seemed to have done the trick for the time being. The leasing office is great with communication although there is often one person there which slows things down a bit. Its a quiet neighborhood with lots of family and kid's. I look forward to seeing what the neighbor is like over the summer. The building is in fair condition for it being an older construction. I was nervous moving in due to not being able to tour the apartment prior ,however it seemed much like what they described.

Good overall just wish apartments would be renovated if you lived in them over 3 years. When renewing nothing is upgraded in the apartment only thing that changes is the rent

Living here is not terrible, but I think it’s overpriced for what you get. The maintenance could be better. It’s very hit or miss. Recently my faucet was dripping and all that was done to “fix it” was turn off the hot water. It didn’t actually get resolved until I put in another maintenance ticket. The office staff is friendly.

Move in was relatively easy. Maintenance came fast to fix issues I found. Apartment has been quiet so far. Haven’t had any issues so far. You do have to pay for parking though.

After a building fire due to dryer lint, the floors were left filthy from the chemical ued. Also, there was no basket in the laundry room to put dryer lint, Because of this, anythink on the floors was tracked into apartments and the landryroom is disgusting.

I have enjoyed being a resident here at renew Virginia Beach much more in the last year since the new management company has taken over. I can see much improvement to how well the property is kept and it is easier to get a response to concerns or complaints.

Renew is not the place for me. I thought coming back home to Virginia, this spacious apartment will be everything and more because I wanted to same space and peace that I had in another state, I was wrong. I’ve experienced everything under the sun while me and my kids lay in this apt. I’ve had someone try to break into my window. I’ve had packages stolen. I’ve mentioned marijuana smells multiple times & nothing has been changed since. My kids and I have experienced contact from the smoke in our home. I don’t recommend living here but I appreciate the memories we have moving forward.

First and foremost The maintenance Dept. and the landscaping team are amazing!, However on the other hand when it comes to the current cleaning company they do not to clean the hallways in a consistent manner because I've seen them mop the first floor with a little bucket with dirty water that they used on many hallways that I have witnessed them do and they mop (If they mop at all) the first 2 or 3 of the first steps leading to the second floor (that's where I live) but they don't touch the second floor I know because the same stains and dirt are still there and today after months of their absence I saw 2 people come by and again they mopped the first floor but did not touch the second floor or the windows ,This is part of maintaining a clean environment for our present residents and also for potential future residents because it will be embarrassing if someone is getting a tour and the hallways are nasty, (NOT A GOOD LOOK) plus ths affects my quality of life.

The apartment is nice and roomy inside , the community is great ist close to a lot of stores and about a 20 min ride from the beach. It’s right in the middle the ocean front and the city of Norfolk which is great

Things are definitely getting better there! The management and staff is working hard to improve things! My only big grape with this place is there are still a ton of people smoking pot everywhere. Other than that, I have been more satisfied was the past couple months is staying here.
My experience here at Renew has been great! The staff have been excellent, and maintenance is always quick to handle any concerns. I am happy to call this place home.

Clean and no roaches! Which coming from Florida was a huge plus! lol office friendly and maintenance also! Grounds are kept clean and dumpsters emptied regularly

Would be great to have at least one visitor parking per apartment. As a resident since we have to pay for parking. Overall everything else is fine.

Efficient application process! The apartments we received were perfect for me and my roommate. Paintjob is a little messy but nothing a little elbow grease can’t fix!

So far everyone has been extremely kind! The move in process was quick and easy and when we had to call for maintenance due to a sink issue they came the next day and had it all fixed!

A couple of things wrong when we first moved in but the maintenance crew was pretty quick once they received the trouble tickets. Overall the only part that is bothersome is how fast the trash gets filled up or just lays around the complex.

I love where I live. I just feel something with parking needs to be done. Our moms and a friend is coming all 3 or elderly and have physical issues getting around. So…….guess where guest parking is sigh in the street. There is no way they can park on the street and walk that far especially when there is any parking on the street.
