Radius at The Domain

I lived at this RPM property in Austin, TX for 11 months from 2022-2023. A couple reasons why I'm leaving a 1-star review: Regarding the apartment complex itself: - The garbage was not picked up often enough. Often, this would lead to garbage overflowing from the dumpsters, which was really an eyesore and made it really unpleasant to walk in the complex. - The security gates for vehicles to enter and to exit the apartment complex were frequently broken and would often remain so for weeks on end. This is a serious security hazard, particularly in a neighborhood with a lot of vagrancy problems. - There were person-sized gaps in the wrought iron fence around the property - again, another security hazard, allowing for the entry of unauthorized individuals into the complex. - There was not any sort of regular pest control happening in the complex. I had to keep a roach trap right next to the front door of my apartment and had to replace it frequently due to the roach problem. - The air compressor and vacuum in the car wash area was broken during the entirety of my time there. After a while, they also shut off the faucet for washing cars. - We were once left for nearly 24 hours without running water in our apartment due to a supposed leak they couldn't "fix". - The grounds looked generally unkempt (e.g. bits of trash around, dirt patches where grass had formerly been, dog excrement - even on the footpaths, and so on). In addition, the landlord charged us for "wear and tear" items in the apartment (which is against Texas tenancy laws): - There was peeling paint on the bathtub backsplashes in my apartment that I noticed when moving in. Regardless of the paint peeling before moving in, the landlord decided to renovate the bathrooms using part of my security deposit. - There was a small patch of peeling paint on the wall in my flatmate's room. The landlord decided to repaint the entire wall and charge us for it (from the security deposit) upon moving out. - Furthermore, after settling up my account after moving out, a representative from RPM reached out to me via email and informed me that I owed additional charges. Fortunately, I had the email confirmation from the week prior affirming that I had, in fact, paid all charges to my account to-date. I felt like this RPM property was neither a safe nor a clean place to live, which is why I did not renew my lease with them.

I recently moved from Radius at The Domain. While living there, I experienced unnecessarily noisy neighbors on countless occasions that the apartment complex personnel failed to handle adequately. A solution was never sought. When you’re paying hard-earned money to live somewhere, you have the right to sleep peacefully at night and not have to suffer through inconsiderate neighbors. The apartment security personal was called on multiple occasions, nearing multiple times a week every day as week when noises became unbearable and a interfered with being able to sleep at night. However, the disturbances continued no matter how many times complaints were made. I moved to another apartment only to be charged a ridiculous amount of money for no reason or warning from Radius at The Domain. To top everything off, my security deposit has not been returned from the apartment. Money is a seeming priority to the apartment officials — not their residents.

The unit itself is fine, I don't have any complaints there. The pricing for the area is competitive. However, the gates frequently don't work, and keys stick/freeze in cold weather. I am a resident who has renewed. I recently went to the front office to ask for a barcode / sticker for the gate to automatically open without key punching. The front office refused to give me a sticker without charging me for it. They do issue one (which they charge for) at move-in, but I lost it during the move and have always used the key pad. They have an easy solution for the issue, giving me a sticker, but they refuse to do so, and thus are locking me, and I've seen other residents, out of our parking lot near our apartments. The refusal to do a courteous simple solution earns them this low review. The issue is 100% their fault because I would be happy to use the key pad, it just does not work. I suggest looking for a different apartment if you can get a similar price, or wait for new management. I hope $20 is worth a bad review.

Don’t live here. I have mold in my vents, and cockroaches coming out of walls. People do not pick up after their pets. If you like to host family and friends, the neighbors will call you in to management for “disturbing the community.” Also, there have been multiple reports of people squatting on the property. We are not resigning our lease.

Seriously, it’s unsafe. Unregistered people squatting, drug activity, prostitution, assault and dog attacks.

This place is terrible your emails, phone calls and pest problems will go unanswered. For three weeks my dishwasher has not worked and no one has fixed it yet. They get work orders mixed up and you don’t get what ever you need worked on or fixed. I have a rodent problem and I caught 5 of them myself. They wouldn’t even put me up in a hotel, they wanted me to pay out of pocket. I woke up with dropping’s on my counter tops for 2 1/2 weeks. That’s truly disgusting.

I took a look around with Kia G. about a week ago. She was awesome and i actually had fun visiting the property. She knew a lot about the place, which by the way was BEAUTIFUL. The upgrades were nice and the place itself looked upkept and reliable. Soon as my job transfers i am signing my lease there!!

Nice, quiet, and a great place to call home with a great community. Friendly, helpful staff Marina showed me an amazing apartment! Very satisfied and exceeded all expectations! Thanks again Marina and Radius staff for taking the time to assist answering all of my questions and for being very professional. I definitely would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new place to call home to call or stop by and ask for Marina!

Love the location, this is close to the freeway and the Domain, the amenities, the staff especially Anay and Kia are awesome! The look and feel of the apartments are homey and modern, neighbors are friendly and quiet.

I have been here since last year. It is close to my office and also to the Domain, which is really nice spot to hangout. The staff are friendly and they always took care of my packages. I have found the apartments really good. I have renewed the lease for next year and would recommend to others.

Affordable, high-quality apartments. Great pet policies - no breed or age restrictions. Staff is friendly and maintenance is responsive. Love living here!

We've lived here for 4 years total. You can't beat the cost for this location! You're quite literally right across from the Domain for what feels like half the price. The perk also comes with your neighbors. We've gotten pretty lucky to live across some awesome people who are exceptionally friendly and welcoming.

Pros- Reasonably priced. Clean grounds - no litter or dog waste just laying around. All the plants and grass are nice. Pet friendly Ample parking Rarely noise issues The remodeled units are beautiful Maintenance turn around is super fast and the maintenance guys are all really nice Pest control is rarely needed Cons- If you live near the trash it can be really loud when he picks it up and that can be really really early sometimes. There's some construction happening over night near by and if you live on that side its a little annoying. The grill by the main pool could use an update however it does function just fine. Over all I think anyone would be happy at this community.

Moved in a year ago. Have had a great experience overall. Decided to sign another year lease. Super affordable. Convenient location within walking distance to entertainment. Glad to call this place home!

I’ve lived in Radius @ The Domain for about a year and a half now. The office staff have always been friendly and helpful with any questions or requests (including when we switched apartments). They have even been really awesome with the referral process of one of my co workers. The maintenance requests are handled very quickly. We got one of the newer designer apartments and it is beautiful. I’ve enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend Radius to anyone looking for a great place to live near the Domain.

Radius is close to anything you need. Food entertainment, drinks, all the highways!! Also the staff has been super friendly and attentive. And they are on top of any maintainace issues.

Love this place! It's breath of fresh air. Good vibes all around. Neighbors are very friendly and helpful if needed! Me and my roomie love going to the gym and the pool. We grill once a week there. Great location very close to the domain. Spacious floor plans. The staff at the front desk is also very friendly and helpful especially Marina and Kia :)

Except for a great location and being safe,its pathetic! 1) shoddy undone furnishings 2) ROACHES everywhere 3) have had bathroom floors leaking. 4) was between bathing and the tap shoots off! 5) uneven carpets 6) dog poop in the community on the floor that stinks The list goes on! For the price that they offer, there are way better options out there!!!

Been here for 2 years Decent place to stay if you need to find a home quickly in austin. Decent neighbours. For the cons.. 1) had a terrible experience with roaches in the apartment. Tired of getting rid of them 2) the home is very poorly lit and we need to use lights all the time 3) maintenance works at their own pace. We have had troubles with the garbage disposer crashing, leak (almost a pool in there, I must say) on the bathroom floor. 4) the drier and washer was in the living room and the space was smaller than the appliance-so the doors wont shut! Exposing the tubings to guests. After taking 3-4 days the maintenance arrives saying few appts have the issue as the space is smaller than the washer drier provided! And they manage to get the doors close.Just that we have to fight with the doors to pull them to close..as they are verrrry tight and the tubings etc are shabbily fixed abv them. 5) Had 2 burners not working. After having the maintenance come 4-5 times and do something we still have 1 burner that doesnt work and another that sits at an inclined angle. Having been told we would get new ones, its over a month that they are not back (and we are tired of calling them anymore) On one day, he said I'll be right back and I waited for over 1 hour only to realize that they have left for the day and I had my schedule ruined! Also you call them one day and they crash in whenever it pleases them! Like your schedule has no importance! We had specifically requested them to call before coming, they called around 2pm and weren't there until the next day 4pm. 6) Dog poop near the trash area making the place smell funny. 7) cabinets are made out of some cheap material and one shelf is just lying broken right from the start. We just haven't bothered keeping anything there. This place isn't really "cheap".. so I dont expect such things here! We are done with them testing our patience frankly! Sorry but I wont recommend it to someone who can look for something better. There are better options around.

Love the renovations. Staff is friendly & very helpful. Anay knows me by name & remembers my apartment number when I go to the office. It's nice to feel right at home when you walk in! Definitely happy with my decision to live here

I lived in the Radius apartments back in 2014 and now again in 2017. I enjoy the location and price point. Anay and all the front office staff have always been extremely helpful and friendly. This is a good place to call home and it's super pet friendly judging by all the pups I see walking around with their owners! :-) Thank you Anay and staff!!

Texas is a wonderful place to live in and Radius (formerly Verano) has been a proud apartment complex to call home. The management office was always willing to and prompt in solving any issues and problems, not that we had much to complain, 2 or 3 times over the whole year, like ants in front of porch and smoke alarm. The maintenance people came the same day we called. And problem solved. From the day we came to visit Verano to the walk thru morning when we sadly had to leave, Anay, our friendly manager, treated us like a family. She quickly responded to our email and calls with courtesy and grace, and of course right solutions. Don't let the fancy appearance of the office deter you. It is a practical and comfortable place to live in and, worry free -- they will take care of you. Connie

For a first apartment, I am very happy with this place. Quite complex, right behind the domain, close to all sorts of shopping, food, groceries etc, and a good price point if you can't afford to live across the street at the Domain. Staff is nice and prompt. My only issue thus far is that the complex is right by a medical center, so I hear a lot of sirens in the evenings, but that comes with city territory. I am very happy here and would happily recommend this complex.

Then apartment is called Verano Luxury apartments. The only luxury there is are the Apple computers in the lab. German Cockroach infestation, inconsistent control of the AC Unit.

I stayed here for one year. What is good? - Close to Domain mall, Whole foods - Silent place, not any major roads close by to hear the vehicle noise. There is a train track nearby but it is not that disturbing even if my apartment was very close to the track.. - Maintenance is good. Service requests got resolved within a day. - Rent is lowest as compared any other apartments in same area. - Enough car parking - Not much noise in the community, no loud pool parties or big events. - Staff is good What is bad? - Rooms are quite small - The carpet I got when moved was like used one. It wasn't in good condition - Had roaches problem couple of times - They don't fix the problems that requires some major work. Toilet flush was not working properly so they tried couple of times and gave up. I was also at the end of the lease so did not press them much.

Verano is literally across the street from one of the most populated areas of Austin. We're convenient to 3 major highways, grocery stores including Whole Foods, and other convenient shops. The complex itself just went through an exterior painting that makes the place look more homey and welcoming. I picked this complex because we are never bothered, maintenance comes quickly to fix any issues (rarely have issues), and there is workout room, two pools, laundry facilities, and gated complex. All the basics and great amenities for the price and location. If anyone knows where the Domain is, I can walk there from this complex or take the bus which has a stop right in front of the complex. Very pleased!

Great location, nice quiet complex, maintenance is quick to respond. Only set back has been bugs...yucky bugs!!

Nice, quiet community. Friendly, helpful staff. Just renovated the outside, more improvements said to be on the way. Going on second year lease and for the most part happy and satisfied.
