Although surrounded by inhospitable desert, Phoenix is one of the largest cities in the United States, and the nation’s single largest state capital city. Surprise
Surprise is a small suburban city roughly 45 minutes northwest of Phoenix. Surprise is also home to the spring training facilities for the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers, and preseason games are highly popular with locals.
