The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Platte View Landing
I was approved to lease an apartment at Platte View Landing but after a series of unprofessional communication and incompetent handling of the details that followed by the office management team there were just too many red flags. I had to ask myself if these were the people I wanted to deal with moving forward in the event that I needed help with maintenance requests, etc. The answer was NO, so I decided not to move forward, They made an already stressful process even more complicated and stressful. Would NOT recommend wasting your time here.
I really have no problem with the apartment itself, except for the lack of general parking towards the rear of the property. My issue is solely with both managers stationed in the front office. I repeatedly visited the front office requesting that the lock on my mailbox be changed, and was assured every time that it I would be able to access it after a couple days. After showing up at the front office to address the same issue for the fifth time over a time span of 4 months, I was given the master key to access my mailbox. This key was also ineffective. The lock was eventually changed between the forth and fifth month of me being a resident at this apartment complex. Allowing me access to the fifty-plus parcels of mail that were forcibly stuffed into the mailbox over the past five months. Unfortunately this wasn't the only issue encountered through this management. I also asked for my pin access code to the pool and fitness facility. I was assured that they would reset the code to a sequence of my choosing. This too proved to be an issue too bothersome to be addressed. I find it completely unprofessional to repeatedly promise resolve to customers and not follow through. This management has proven to be grossly incompetent when addressing daily concerns of residents.
I was provided with little option on my lease, which has led to various difficulties in my own personal life. The staff showed me one apartment, then gave me another entirely, which has terrible traffic noise (many of the apartments here do). My move in was very difficult, due in large part to the management's incredible inflexibility. In general, I think Platte View is very expensive for what you get, and I think the management is in general inflexible and pretty nasty about it. I get the sense the complex has really gone down hill.
The apartments are well maintained. Maintenance is very quick to take care of any problems. Grounds are well taken care of, as well as the pool, hot tub, and fitness center. Rent is a little high but for the apartment in the area it is comparable to other apartments.
I lived here for 4.5 years and just recently moved out. The first few years were great! Good neighbors, great office staff and maintenance, convenient to my job, just a good place overall. The old office staff would be visible around the complex, especially in the pool area. Parking was typically an issue depending on when you got home if you didn't buy a garage or carport space, but never too bad. Pool wasn't overly crowded and everyone seemed to get along pretty well. However I haven't been a fan of new management. I've noticed more turnover in apartments and more problem tenants, almost like they aren't being as picky as they used to be. Office staff isn't as personable and tends to only answer the phone when you choose the "looking for leasing information" option when you call. People aren't following the rules at the pool like they used to and some of the maintenance staff who are their try to do something, but it's not their job to police poor behavior by tenants. The final thing is when I tried to get my deposit back. No I wasn't told it was damage to the apartment or anything like that. It was that I owed, after my deposit was considered to pay some of it, over $100 for trash, water, and fees. and a $60 cleaning fee even though I cleaned and vacuumed before I left. Keep in mind I already changed apartments once during my 4.5 years and got it all back the first time. Eventually after I started asking questions about why I owed it it came down to a $0 balance, but my deposit was used to get it there. I don't think they ever intended on giving it back. Overall, not a bad place and one of the few non-income restricted places in Brighton. There's worse out there, but not as good as it used to be.
