We have such a great manager. I emailed Elton about an issue and he responded within an hour with a thoughtful and very well written answer. What a good communicator he is. He is always positive and smiling and goes above and beyond. Mariela and Donald are such hard workers. They are always pitching in wherever needed. Great staff!
I want to thank the wonderful staff at Overture for all the hard work that went into the 4th of July cookout. We had quite a large crowd and it turned out to be a beautiful day.
My wife and I have now lived at overture fair ridge for a little over a month. Neither of us can say enough about this place in terms of the current staff members, the people, location and amenities. We are enjoying our forever apartment and are excited to be living in this Active 62 plus community.

I have lived here for nearly 6 years. Our assistant manager, Elton, and Mariela who does almost everything, are outstanding. We will miss our current manager. Amanda, but both Elton and Mariela are able and poised to move up into higher roles. This is a wonderful community and it is in very large part due to the fabulous management we have right now.

I’ve lived in Overture @fair Ridge for about 6years and have found it to be a well run well kept community. The staff is friendly, there are always events and affairs going on. Transportation to various places, for shopping and entertainment etc. I would recommend it to any senior who’s in the market for housing!!

Overture Fair Ridge is where active seniors can find a way of life. There are so many activities every month. There are clubs, like the Garden Club, Movie Club, and the Arts & Entertainment Club. The Lifestyle Coordinator is doing her best to make sure the residents are having the best time there. The Manager and the Assistant Manager are very nice!

I moved here from FL to be near my family, and I looked at several properties, and when I came to Overture, I liked everything I saw and decided this is it. I like the facility, the staff, the location is perfect and it's near my family, so it's been very very good for me. I appreciate the many activities that are available, and I've met some really nice people. I love my apartment and am very happy here.

I was apprehensive before I moved at my children's insistence on living at a senior living facility. Now being here just a little over 2 months, I understand why. They understand your needs, very helpful, consistent about your wellbeing, very friendly staff and community. And now that I have underground parking, I don't have to worry about scraping snow or debris off my car by myself! I enjoy the complimentary breakfast provided to us 3 days a week especially on the mornings I don't feel like cooking. It's also awfully quiet here. I get great support from Angel, EZ, Mariela and the entire team, in fact. They all make it enjoyable living here. Life changes need to be adaptable, and this place makes it easy to adapt. If I had to do it all over again, I absolutely would!

The Overture Fair Ridge has a nice selection of floor plans to choose from depending on availability; excellent amenities and programs for residents and a very active and involved Activity Coordinator, Mariela. Location is unbeatable! And, for residents without vehicles they provide transportation to grocery stores and shopping malls 2-3 times a week.

Overture is such a convenient place to live for seniors. There are a variety of exercise classes offered and lots of entertainment and other activities. Our activities coordinator, Mariela, is wonderful. She is always coming up with great activities like trivia night and she is responsive to requests.

Three years ago my son made a list of possible senior residences for me to consider. Overture was the first name on his list, possibly because he is a musician, the word overture caught his attention. We took the tour of Overture and fell in love with it. However, we thought it only fair that we take a look at others on the list. After looking at a couple others and two that we decided not even to go inside, we both agreed that we needed to quickly go directly back to our first stop which was Overture before it was too late. How very glad I am that we quickly made that choice. I love my apt., the activities,the residents and most of all our very fine staff.I am so happy here and highly recommend that you choose to make your next home here at Overture.

There are a number of reasons for why living in this complex is so wonderful. First is the location. You have easy access to fantastic points of interest in Virginia, Washington D.C and Maryland. You also have two major airports and Amtrak for transportation possibilities. The complex is surrounded by flower beds and green space with plenty of sitting areas. The complex staff is wonderful. Very accessible . They interact with the the residents daily. The apartments are equipped with up to date modern appliances.

I accidentally found this gem of a 62 + apartment home so very glad I did. From initial to subsequent visits, my experience was just a pleasure. Staff are very much true to the attention they show. Such caring patience shown. And while servicing senior communities can be a challenge chaotic at times, they always, always try their best juggling the many balls thrown their way. I am blessed to have found them. My son visited love what he's seen so far suggested I consider Overture as my forever retirement home when I retire a 2nd time.

After living in a house for the last 54 years, it was quite a change to go to apartment living. II don't have to worry about house maintenance any more. The amenities are good here and the housekeeping staff keeps the common areas very clean. A big plus is the apartment buildings are smoke free.

Apartments are very nice, public outdoor spaces and office areas very nice along with lounges. However,the layout of the buildings is terrible for seniors. We are in an end apt and the elevator is a city block away. Packages are delivered to another building. Newspapers can’t be delivered, etc. we will move .

While the community itself is very nice, there is very poor followup from the staff. Air conditioner took almost the entirety of the summer to fix. The proposed solution by Overture in the mean time was a portable window unit for 3 months. The portable unit never brought the temperature down adequately and it was impossible to even have a conversation near it, it was so loud. "Maintenance free living" is a catch phrase they use with little substance behind it- for any movement to be done on the HVAC, escalation to corporate was necessary. Without a proper advocate who is willing to spend hours chasing an issue down, you will find that your parent will be left without a solution. A veritable nightmare should the issue be health-endangering (like a non functioning AC in 100 degree heat index summer days). For the amount of money you're paying, there should be a baseline of customer service and communication. Supply chain issues aside, there is little excuse for not keeping stakeholders in the loop. After this experience, I could not in good conscience recommend this living facility to anyone looking for peace of mind in ensuring that their parents are somewhere they are taken care of.

Our overall experience here has been excellent. We love our apartment and our neighbors. As a former home owner it was an interesting experience not having to run out to Lowes or Home Depot any time we had a repair issue. You can be as active or inactive as you would like.
