Property Ratings at Milagro
I moved to a different unit in the same complex and I paid a seperate deposit on my second unit, it's been almost one and a half month, but I still didn't receive my refund on my deposit of the first unit yet.
Property Manager at Milagro, Responded To This Review
Hello, we apologize for the delay in processing your deposit refund from your previous unit. Our team has reached out to you directly to resolve this.
Milagro is such a great apartment, in the heart of downtown salt lake city it's a 5 minute bike ride to and from the train station, with access to some of the best food Utah has to offer as well as some pretty amazing amenities that make the entire living experience so amazing.
Property Manager at Milagro, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad you're enjoying life at Milagro and taking full advantage of our location and amenities. Being in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City definitely has its perks, and it's great to hear you're loving the food scene and easy access to transit. We appreciate you being part of our community!
While Milagro Apartment is located at the heart of downtown with easy walkable access to everything Salt Lake City's downtown has to offer, the state of the apartment and community here make the experience living here unenjoyable. The apartment units themselves offer zero soundproofing in between floors so you hear absolutely everything the upstairs neighbor is doing (practicing music, sneezing, and godforbid if they're wearing heels), residents seldom honor the community rules and guidelines they were signed to follow, and, worst of all, the media package at the apartment is $175 a month for cable with limited channels and terrible internet, with download speeds of double digits, at best, in the mornings. Management is trying to do their best, and thankfully, they are responsive to complaints and feedback, but there is only so much they can do.

Fantastic property and neighbors. Grey star management is an upgrade to the previous company.

Milagro is in a great location that is super convenient to downtown Salt Lake City. The amenities, particularly the gym, are very nice, and compared to other similar apartment communities it’s a bargain

Cars get broken into weekly if not nightly in the "secure" parking garage. It took 6 cars (that I know of) getting broken into in less than a week for management to finally install a few camera's but even then there are still problems. Management does nothing about it and the only "sorry" you'll get from them is saying that you chose to live downtown.
The management is essentially useless. Tally and Colby seem nice, but almost always say their hands are tied when you need something. Also, they charge you egregious fees for any little thing. The apartment and amenities are great, so if you're willing to pay high fees or be a more-than-flawless resident, then this is the apartment for you!
Had so many problems getting in touch with staff, which should have been the first red flag. Continued to be patient because the place was everything we wanted. They completely disregarded everything that we agreed upon. Eventually someone called back and still couldn’t give a solid explanation as to what happened and why. Probably would be a great place if they had adequate staffing.
My fiancé and I have really enjoyed our time at the Milagro. The only reason we are leaving is because we have to move out of state for work. Whitley and Trew in the front office are very helpful and super friendly. They are quick to respond to any questions and whenever there are any issues, they resolve them within a timely manner. We lived in a 2 bedroom on the 3rd floor facing the courtyard and it was amazing!! The apartment is very spacious, the patio is huge, the 2nd floor has concrete ceilings so we never had any noise complaints and it is super convenient to pool access, the grills and clubhouse. It was also nice because all the other neighbors on the 3rd floor hang out in the courtyard at least 2-3 times a week! We also love the location here. It's within walking distance to everything downtown and if you don't feel like walking, there are scooters and green bikes right out front. We also got free green bikes living here! We will definitely miss it at the Milagro!! If we ever move back to Salt Lake City, we will definitely rent again at the Milagro.
After the shooting, everything feels unsafe. The new Management company promised security with princes increase, however cars get broken in a private and expensive garage every day (ours was broken in last week).
One of the best amenity packages I have ever seen! Amazing location!
I have really enjoyed my time here. The units are really nice, my wife and I love the modern feel. We have had a really good experience with the management, Kayman has been a huge help. The amenities are awesome! The pool and hot tub are good to have, we personally love the pet wash station. We love our neighbors and love living here.
I should have listened to my gut, when after I put in my application I had to consistently call and follow up to actually move in here, as they were pretty much ignoring me. I've had several issued with things not being done in a timely manner by staff and management. I was told for the first three months living here that I would be put into their 'Luxor' package system which did not happen until I pressed the management on why it was taking so long. When they finally put me in it only took the click of a button, and this was after three months and a missing package...I was pretty annoyed. Similar situation happened with their front door system, I had to remind them several times and I was finally put in after months of living here. My biggest issue was their payment processor would not accept payment from my bank. They returned payments saying my account is a 'Non-Transaction Account' even though I have used this account for years and have never had a problem elsewhere. When I was talking with the Manager Jacklyn about this she told me to "Try my paying with my bank again" and that she would waive any return fee's since this wasn't an insufficient funds issue. This ended up being awful information as after they rejected my payment a second time they will no longer accept ACH payments from me and are charging me to pay rent. I reached out to Jacklyn about this situation and she told me its standard for Milagro to not accept ACH payments after two returns due to NSF, the only issue is this was NOT why they returned my payments and to this day I still do not know why. I followed up with her to see if she can get it fixed and restated again that it was not due to NSF, and she has not responded after several attempts to reach her over a MONTH. An entire month I have been trying to fix this and she is not even professional enough to respond. On top of those issues the ceilings/floors are paper thin so I can hear everything going on above me and it echoes loudly in my apartment. The apartments are very faux-luxury, everything looks nice at a glance but if you take a closer look you will see gaps on the wall switches, doors that do not close properly and overall it appears to be cheap construction, the appliances while having a 'stainless finish' are also very entry level as well. Overall due to the way I have been treated I would never recommend this to anyone; there are much nicer actual luxury apartments in very close proximity.
With less than 30 units occupied when we moved in, our apartment had several issues literally as we opened the front door (many we learned were common issues other residents have - why didn't they take care of them before we moved in if this was the case?!). -Broken blinds -Washer had no water source -Flooded closet every time we turned on water in the bathroom (took over a week to fix - leaving our closet unusable during that time, and actually ruined our dressers in our closet - leasing office ignored that part) -Poorly designed outlets to which the leasing office mentioned they'd been recommending running long cables across residents' apartments until they had decided on a resolution (no resolution found - only gave us the option to remove the mandatory media package monthly charge) -Flickering LED can lights in the kitchen to the point of not being able to use our kitchen without daylight All of these issues would have been more understandable if the communication, and ownership of the issues was better managed. (We were later informed of some much need staffing changes, however the building should still have integrity of the management of a brand new building in the interim). Requests get blatantly ignored, and when finally addressed they're done so in an extremely unprofessional way in all aspects. Aside from our unit - the windows are poorly insulated (you can hear EVERYTHING...people walking through the parking lot, and the garbage truck that comes once at week at 4am), the garbage shoot is ALWAYS backed up (with no where else to take it because the garbage room is always locked), and the "secure" parking garage that sells spots during various downtown events. We chose Milagro expecting a dignified experience for a place we’re paying a pretty penny in this market for, and have been nothing but proved wrong our (SHORT) few months here. I really hope other residents can speak more highly of their experience, because this is not how an apartment marketed as luxury (or any for that matter) should operate. There are plenty of new options coming up in SLC, so unless you want to chance it - keep looking.
