Located 15 miles west of Manhattan, Clifton combines suburban living with easy access to New York City. This established New Jersey community offers various housing options, from apartments to single-family homes. Current rental rates range from $1,694 for studios to $2,525 for two-bedroom apartments, with year-over-year increases between 1.4% and 4.8%. The rental market remains competitive due to the city's convenient location and established neighborhoods.
Clifton's landscape features the historic Weasel Brook Park, designed by the Olmsted Brothers landscaping firm. The city maintains its agricultural heritage through active farms, including Ploch's Farm, operating since 1867. Main Avenue serves as the downtown hub, with local shops and dining options. Commuters benefit from access to Routes 3 and 46 and the Garden State Parkway. The city is home to Clifton High School, one of New Jersey's largest single-facility high schools.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Martha Washington Apartments
This is the most disgusting place ever. They fix things outside to look beautiful but inside the apartments they don't fix anything. You have a super driving a red truck around doing nothing. Whoever leaves on first floor has to feel the pain of people on the second floor making noise. Management sucks they just collect the money every month and don't solve any problem. To much money for this place is not worth it people don't last too long here. Don't rent you'll hate yourself for doing that .
Long story short i fired my Realestate agent after she showed me these apartment
Look else where apartments are dated and over priced have uneven floors terrible inside lighting and outlets that've been painted over many times. Most of the tenants that live here are rude and inconsiderate. And lastly the management company only cares about there MONEY and not the tenants and the onsite parking is awful with no off street parking for six blocks
DONT WASTE your time the complex is filthy inside and out apartments are completely dated and over priced management company only cares about the rent if you need something fixed good luck your better off fixing it your self and the parking is awful with no off street parking there's dog dropping all over the courtyard not one person here cleans up after there dog and in the winter the heat is up so high the devil wouldn't live here looks else where
