The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Lyra
I have enjoyed the people I’ve met at Lyra and the distance to downtown. What I don’t like is feeling unsafe. Ever since I’ve moved in, I’ve had so many issues with my door locking. The gate was broken for several months which allowed anyone to come in. I have seen people digging in the trash. Also the doors do not lock to get into the building so anyone can get in. There has been two incidents where residents have found homeless people sleeping and/or living in the hallway. Management claims they were “residents guest.” The apartment is more concerned with residents using the pool area after hours than making sure the hallways are safe. I am disappointed.
There have been dozens of issues that the local property manager, Suzanne, says she is going to fix or are “awaiting procurement” but have never been fixed. We have had a broken front gate for 5 months now as well as a door that doesn’t lock. We had a homeless person living under a stairwell and wondering around the apartment building this weekend. The pool has had to be closed twice for the entire weekend due to a thin film of green algae that caused a dozen or so people to get skin infections and go to the hospital. Then the hot tub was closed twice because it was electrocuting people which sent someone to the hospital in an ambulance. There is missing equipment from the gym that was stolen and can be replaced for likely $50 but they’re too cheap to do so. We had to hear this sob story that Mr Richman, who owns the building and owns Richman Signature Properties, is the greatest guy in the world. Well if he is, the least he can do is secure the property and give us clean facilities. The only nice thing about this place is the front door staff person Will. Everyone else has been miserable to deal with. We have a cleaning staff, but everything is still dirty. The mailroom never works due to its inadequate technology. The valet trash company frequently does not come meaning there is trash in the hallways for multiple days. We pay for the buildings utilities on top of our own utilities so expect about $110 more in rent than what your actual lease states. Then add your own electric, internet, cable, water, and trash bill.
I found a 2 BR apartment that I wanted to move into. I called the leasing office and spoke with Will. He informed me that their online application was down, but that it would be back up soon and that he would let me know when I could go online to apply. After asking if there was any other way that I could reserve it, he told me not to worry. Two days passed and the website was still down. I emailed in my application and overnighted a check for the security deposit. An hour later he said that it was too late and someone had just came in and reserved the unit.
