If you’re looking for that classic Midwestern atmosphere, complete with attractive neighborhoods set along quiet streets and a convenient commute time, the village of Milan may be the answer. This cozy riverfront village borders the Quad Cities of Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline in Illinois and Davenport and Bettendorf in neighboring Iowa. Because of this great location, Milan is just four miles southwest of Downtown Moline and less than five miles from Downtown Davenport – meaning you can access both cities in under 10 minutes. The village also borders Quad City International Airport, located on the northeast side, making it a convenient location for frequent flyers.
Milan is located along the Rock River and close to the Mississippi River. Most of the businesses, shops, and restaurants are located along 1st Street and 10th Avenue. The John Deere Milan Parts Distribution Center, one of the world’s largest warehouses, is located off Rock Island-Milan Parkway. Milan is very family-friendly, providing good schools and several parks. The Dickson Park-Milan Sprayground is a popular summertime destination. Other great nearby destinations include Black Hawk Forest, Credit Island Park, and Highland Springs Golf Course.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
