I have lived in Columbia City for two years and have really enjoyed my time here. I have lived in Seattle for 10 years, have lived in 4 neighborhoods and Columbia City is by far the friendliest and has a lot to offer without overly gentrifying. However, it is gentrifying very rapidly. If I could change anything it would be to offer more affordable shopping. The only grocery store that is walking distance is PCC and it is incredibly expensive. There needs to be other options for lower income communities.

It's very peaceful yet there are times when the main road MLK is noisy. The neighbors are friendly all around and often try to avoid conflict.
