Nestled along the Sacramento River, Broderick is a small neighborhood in West Sacramento, adjacent to Downtown Sacramento. Broderick balances suburban and urban landscapes. The western and southern parts of the area are dominated by industrial companies, warehouses, and offices while the other sections of town are mainly residential with ranch-style homes, high-rise apartments, and neighborhood parks. Residents don’t have to go far for shopping and casual eats at Riverpoint Marketplace, one of two commercial areas in Broderick. Riverpoint Marketplace offers several big-box department stores, furniture stores, small clothing shops, and chain restaurants. For a larger variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options renters only have to travel over the Tower Bridge Gateway for immediate access to Downtown Sacramento. Downtown, residents can practice some retail therapy at the Downtown Commons, watch the Sacramento Kings slam dunk at the Golden 1 Center, dance at a music festival in Cesar Chaves Plaza, devour diverse eats served in the plethora of eateries, and so much more.
