Madison at Melrose

In the five years that I have been here I have no complaints. And I spread the word to the people that I know.

The community is safe, secure, quite, kind of hidden, clean, and just overall one of the best apartment complexes I have ever lived at.

It has been a convenient and comfortable space. I have have felt safe here.

The process from touring the apartment to applying was made a breeze thanks to Jackie. She checked in to ensure any questions were answered and responded probably to any emails making everything so smooth.

Jacqueline was friendly and incredibly helpful in helping find the perfect apartment for my and my dog. The community seems really nice and the location is ideal.

The one striking thing about the community is the maintenance and upkeep of the property including all the common areas. And the staff are quite responsive and approachable.

I have lived at Madison at Melrose for several years, and have stayed because I have found the current staff to be very responsive and helpful; they truly care. I also appreciate how clean and well-maintained the common areas are. I feel very safe living here and the location is convenient to everything.

Stomping, jumping, running, weed, cigarette smoke & aggressive dogs. This is what you can expect at Madison at Melrose. It’s fine I guess as long as you don’t mind being on your neighbors schedule at 2am, 10pm, not sleeping, having your kids walk through weed filled breezeways, sending emails and leaving voicemails with no call back, no email response, no courtesy officer. Health, comfort and enjoyment are not a standard here. I’m posting this review now because I have a well-rounded viewpoint as a long-term resident. I have experienced lots of different staff over the years, many different neighbors over the years so I know what is reasonable and not. I’m tired and I’m frustrated. If you move in, do NOT expect a well maintained community. Just cross your fingers and hope you have no issues you need resolved. It’s just a below average community at a high market price.

The complex is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Also relatively affordable compared to other apartments with similar layouts.

I want to thank Eduardo and Luis for the outstanding job they do, fixing more than their share of maintenance issues and then some; and for always leaving with a smile on their face and a kind word. The same goes for Jackie and Noelle in the front office. You'll always feel welcome no matter how busy they are, and they make it look so fun and easy!

Since moving in that medicine at melrose, I've always had good accurate and professional service.

I have been a resident at Madison at Melrose since 01-04-24. I enjoy living here. It is a quiet and safe neighborhood. The office staff and maintenance crew are awesome. I'm still happy I choose to be a resident in this community!!

We love living here! Every time we pull into the complex, we find ourselves talking about how great it is to live here. It's clean, quiet, curtious, friendly neghbors, good pool, good area, etc.

My experience has been good. The management team seems to stay on top of things. I also like the preventive maintenance that is done.

It’s a great property but please remember to get everything in writing because verbal agreement are a no go at this property. It’s quite pet friendly well kept and the staff is friendly when available. Maintenance is awesome and always willing to go the extra mile and a friendly hello on a daily basis. We have been a resident for 2 years would recommend.

Hi. We liked Madison at Melrose. It's a very nice community which is attractive and well maintained. it's quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed it. We didn't have a dog, but we saw lots of dog-walkers enjoying their walks with their dogs on the very attractive grounds, and there is even a small fenced yard with some apartments. The apartment is well laid out and seems spacious for the square footage. We enjoyed the view from our patio window of two of the beautiful pine trees that dot the complex. The laundry closet for a washer and dryer is very nice. The management is very friendly and take care of maintenance requests right away. We had to move for personal reasons, but recommend the apartments as a very nice place to live!

I love my community. My apartment is like a little house and it is so cozy. The location is perfect for me because it is so close to everything. The admin is great and the maintenance men are top notch. I really love living here!

Very tenant friendly community. More like a neighborhood feel than apartment. Grounds are being updated and with the wonderful trees it's a park like setting and not modern and sterile. Maintenance is very receptive to problems and office management are friendly.

The staff is amazing. I love and appreciate how quickly they moved me into my new apartment. I love it!!

My family has lived at Madison at Melrose for 9 years. We love the "quiet family neighborhood" feel of this complex. The Management and Maintenance Teams are great and very responsive to maintenance requests and any issues brought to their attention.

This used to be a great place to live but over the 4 years we have been here, it has slowly gotten to be not such a great place. Entry and exit gates are always broken, the a/c unit runs 24 hours when the outside temp gets above about 97 degrees and never gets apt cooled down. I have had a few things fixed in apt but it seems like I have to go back and do it correctly. This place has changed apt personnel several times since we have been here. People have things hanging on their patios that look terrible like sheets and shower curtains but nothing has been done about it. It just seems like the place is going downhill.

Here's the lowlights since the new staff and management of Greystar took over our community: 1. The community is COMPLETELY unsecured. The "locked" fob gate at the front entrance, not locked - you don't need a fob to enter anymore. Exit gate at the front, wide-open all day every day. Mailroom - they just removed the lock completely. 2. They don't clean the pool, like ever! I wouldn't be surprised if someone gets sick soon. It's cloudy and gross and this week, apparently the city just shut down the pool! So here it is, Texas, middle of summer, 105 degrees out, and the pool is shut down. 3. Not sure anyone picks up trash anymore and they don't empty the dog stations. Trash is everywhere and you can smell the dog stations a mile away. 4. They don't open until 10 am and supposedly "close" at 6pm - but good luck, they're generally gone by 5:30-5:45pm. 5. They don't clean the clubhouse, game room, the gym.....yuk! Spiderwebs, spiders, dust, dirt, all over the place. The game room bathroom is disgusting and never has toilet paper. We are only 2 months into new management, so I can't image what our gym and game room will look like in a year from now. 6. ZERO communication. No emails, no calls, no letters to the tenants about anything. The writing on the wall says they are going to raise our rent a ridiculous amount, keep it and not spend any money to keep our apartments nice like they used to be. Otherwise, why would they literally remove locks and ignore security instead of fixing them? By the way, in case you can't tell, HALF THE LIGHTS ARE OUT - please consider our safety. For one of the largest management companies in the world, your residents at Madison at Melrose are NOT IMPRESSED with you and the people you put in place to manage our community.

Great place to live! Low noise level - the walls are thick/solid - keeping noise levels down. Great residents - we met a lot of great people while walking our dog. Very responsive to repair requests. Staff members - Wilmar and Melanie are very kind. We lived here for 8 years.

We recently move in here with my wife and my newborn. We love this community for the amount of space that we have in our home. We live by the community pool and we love the sound of water running in the pool! The Staff is great, Every Service Request that I had submitted, they have come and fix it super quick.

To begin, it's a nice location to stay as this apartment complex is close to UTD. However, there is a downside to it. When I moved in, I could not get to see the apartment from inside. I was not told who stayed in the second floor. It's all about doing business. Later, after moving in, I found out that people staying in second floor were horrible. It's hard to break the lease. So, had to go through horrible times.

Poor move-in and move-out experience. I was charged double upon move in, although rectified, it took some time to return the extra charge. Unfair evaluation of apartment upon move out. If you have a pet, don’t expect your deposit back even if your animal isn’t destructive or had a single accident there. Just know it’s a loss going in. The trash compactor took a month to replace while trash built up in the compactor and in a giant bin that was brought in. I saw rats around the area twice. The complex was fairly quiet and I felt safe, maintenance was typically responsive. However, because of the factors above, I would not recommend this apartment. Don’t believe all the positive reviews - you are encouraged to rate if positively upon move in with incentive. Sorry to speak poorly, but it is the honest truth. I rarely post reviews, and especially not negative ones.

I have been living at Madison at Melrose for over four years. In addition to being a quite, clean pleasant complex in the middle of a residential area & being conveniently located near hwy 75 & George Bush Turnpike, the office staff are AMAZING! They have become more like extended family. Each time I go there they made me feel welcome. We recently lost a family member and they were there hugging & comforting me and sent a beautiful plant and a sympathy card. They truly care about their tenants. I definitely recommend this complex. -Maria

We moved into Madison in Juneamd absolutely love it ! I couldn't be happier with my 3 bedroom townhouse floor plan . We have beautiful wood floors,new dark wood cabinets and countertops . It's such a clean , quiet place with a strong sense of community . Everyone waves hello and I feel comfortable letting my daughter walk the dog and ride her bike . The office and maintenance staff are always friendly and helpful . I would definately recommend Madison at Melrose !

I have lived here since 2007. It is the quietest and safest feeling apartment I have ever lived in. I am reaching the retirement age and because I will be going on social security, I don't think I will be able to stay here once that day comes which is very soon. The management has been most helpful in all aspects of apartment living. Anytime I need something done, they are "johnny on the spot" with all repairs. I work only 2 blocks from my apartment which makes it so convenient and even helps me save on gas. I would love to win this rent free because it would enable me to stay where I am as long as I can while saving money which would be a big plus. Security of an apartment like this if of utmost importance to me.
