Just south of Barton Creek Habitat Preserves sits one Austin’s most family-friendly neighborhoods, West Oak Hill. Excellent and friendly service! Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable housing without comprising on quality and everyday amenities.
I moved in last week and immediately loved my apartment, very homey. I haven’t had much time to explore everything that the community has to offer yet, but I will do. Managers are very helpful, but because I leave before 9 and come home after 6, it is a bit challenging for direct communication. Overall, my impression this far is very positive.
Just moved in and everyone has been great! Neighbors we have met are very friendly and management has been helpful. The complex seems quite quiet and I feel safe.
Lantana Hills could be described as mediocre at best. I’ve been living there for over a year and a half now and decided to renew; however, ironically things started becoming worse right after. Management does not keep any promise or do anything to solve an issue aside from saying they do. Neighbors leave their trash out, stinks up hallway, and raccoons get in it during non-trash service. There’s mold, but they constantly deny them try getting the tenant to pay for things. It’s been a fine stay, but far from 5 stars.
I really like the lay out, it is nice and open. I haven't had much issues with the place, small things but that's it. I had a small wall mark against the wall near my kitchen, I asked for some paint/putty and they gave me some! Landscapers even jumped into my patio and cleaned off all the leaves. I really appreciate that!

We’ve had great experiences with the staff, they are attentive and respond in a timely manner though it may be busy at times. Maintenance is always professional and prompt with any and all issues no matter how big or small the issue is. There are events monthly to connect either staff and the community, and lots of amenities to enjoy. The area is also safe and the complex is gated. We’ve not had any issues when it comes to pests either but you’ll see the occasional gecko which is a sign of a healthy environment. The only real “issue” we’ve had in the past is with mail - specifically with USPS as they don’t always leave items with the front office or may mix up packages. If they do, there may be some inconsistent communication with them, but the staff are always willing to help if they can. Highly recommend Lantana Hills!

For the most part, it is nice and quiet living and has good parking. All appliances are outdated along with bathroom hardware, mirrors. The apartment layout is nice but all rooms are small and square. Would like to see more after-hours events for those of us get home later.
Honestly really liked the place initially, but then within a week of moving, toilet started leaking and appliances wouldn't work. This is okay but it's the terrible response to this that is the problem. No response to the service requests for days or weeks on end. You are more likely to find a unicorn than finding someone in the leasing office. Even if your house is literally unlivable they will just shrug their shoulders. Wouldn't recommend.

I like this place a lot, the clubhouse has games and a nice coffee machine so it's fun to hang out in. The complex puts on events for residents too. It's a quiet neighborhood.

Great location and ammenities. Love the apartment! Parking garages a bit too expensive but plenty of open space uncovered spots. Nice pool and gym.

The community is a great place to live. The location is perfect for me! I can easily get downtown and out to the Lake Travis area where I work. Anytime I’ve needed maintenance, they’ve been there within a day of submitting a request. My only complaint is the lack of parking around my building. If I get home late, I have to really search for a spot.

Solid apartment overall, and really great price point for what you get here, especially compared to others in the area. With that though, some detriments of the entry/exits gates not working 100% of the time, parking lots fill up with guests so residents have to park in handicap, some things in apartment needed maintenance. Other than that, don’t have to say much.

Great location, nice layouts, decent amenities. Maintenance and management are usually prompt. As with everywhere else, rent prices are ridiculous.

I have greatly enjoyed living at Lantana Hills. The area is quiet and I can get to anywhere in the city quickly. The amenities, especially the pool, are lovely, and the rent is reasonable. I feel safe in this community and am grateful to live here!

Good apartment, the gate situation and parking is lacking. I wish that they would address the parking or at least offer reserved spots with a parking pass. On top of that, some of the gates break and they take days - weeks to be repaired, seeing as this is a gated complex marketed as such I feel that having long downtime on gate repair is a large issue. Other than that, pretty solid if not a little expensive for what is offered.
Everything seems great. I am enjoying the community and the amenities. I wish certain fixtures in the washroom and kitchen are old hence they seem to be worn out. Would appreciate if these were fixed before move in.

I have really liked the staff, but I had an issue with the neighbor across from me when I first moved in; they have since moved out. I contacted the staff about my concerns, but never received an acknowledgment of my message, which I found to be odd. I also received a package at Christmas, which I was never notified about in that the Postal Service delivered it to the office and neither the Postal Service nor the front office staff notified me. I had to go in and ask for it. I thought that was strange. Overall, my experience has been good except that what I pay monthly is so much more than what I expected to pay and it’s not acceptable.

I've had a great experience living here! The apartments are spacious, and the staff is friendly and responsive. Only downside is occasional noise (walls are thin), but overall, it's a fantastic place to call home. Great neighborhood to walk and hit the trails.

I absolutely love living at Lantana Hills! From the moment I moved in, I’ve been impressed by the amenities—from the beautiful pool to the well-equipped gym and the gorgeous nature trail. I’m lucky enough to have an apartment that faces the wooded area, and it’s been such a peaceful retreat. Sitting out on my patio in the mornings, sipping my coffee while listening to the birds, is the perfect way to start the day. Love the work crew here! Great neighborhood and area in general. Neighbors are all super friendly aswell. Haven’t had any issues with anyone so far and have continued to enjoy every bit of my stay here. Will be here for a while!

I will say that Lantana Hills is an exceptional property. The staff is great. Service issues are dealt with promptly. My family members have commented on how nice the property is. The units have nice touches like crown molding and in my unit I have a huge walk in closet, which is fantastic. I like the walkability of the property, especially because I have a dog that needs to be walked everyday. I love the fact that it has many older trees.

Overall it’s been good. Staff is tough to get ahold of; almosts impossible but I believe they are still shorthanded, so they’re trying. All my dealings with them person have been excellent though. They are very kind and understanding. Genuine, good listeners and most definitely eager to help. For me, Brianna has been a standout. I just happen to have dealt mainly with her and she gets a big attaboy from me. Maintenance team is fairly quick. They are always waving and smiling and down for a conversation here and there, nice guys. Property could use some TLC on the cosmetic side and the none parking areas could absolutely use some beautifying. Maybe adding some more green space. The units are a touch thin to be all wood floors in every unit; carpet would help. Quiet, friendly and good location. I’d recommend it to anyone; I enjoy it here.

Amazing property with an incredible staff. The buildings are quaint and the location is so peaceful. Love all of the trees, hills and walking trails around the community. The location is very central and allows for easy access to downtown. Would highly recommend this community to any friend moving to south Austin.

I can't say i have any complaints. The last place I had an apt with was no where near as nice, yet, I paid 200 more for the studio than I do for my 1 bedroom here. Plus, constant issues with people sneaking in and stealing converters off cars. Some gated community when the gates never worked. If you looking for quiet and great place with a small accommodation like a nice clean pool I see getting touched up in the morning, lawn is taken care of, and the staff are generous, Lantana Hills is that place.

Been here almost 4 months and still love it. The management puts on fun events and the ladies in the office are really nice. It's easy to get to downtown (besides rush hour, but still only 30-45ish minutes) and feels like living in the suburbs.

The experience here was not as expected. Several issues with the unit; including consistent issues with roach infestation in our building..Leasing staff was nice, but the overall living experience left more to be desired. Grounds were somewhat well kept but breezeways were littered with filth and debris and could use some attention.

Super safe area. Beautiful pool. Had some issues with some appliances more often than I would like, but maintenance is relatively quick in responding. Leasing office staff are great and always willing to help!

Good community and the leasing office solves every single query of yours. The community is safe and silent. I recommend lantana hills to people. Some improvements are they can have more lights in the night, but because right now it’s hard to walk in the night ( literally no light ). Pest control can be done better

This place is really nice. The colors on the inside of the apartment are warmer browns, which feels cozier than a lot of the newer modern apartments that are all grey and white. The complex is a 5 minute drive to a sweet drive through the hill country for some awesome views. Bee Cave is less than 15 minutes away and it *can* take 15 minutes to get to UT/downtown if traffic's light.

So far, this has been the best apartment living experience that I’ve had in my 26 years living in Austin. About 15 of those years were in a rental home. This property is in a very quiet and also a very low density neighborhood. The units are very nice. Mine has crown molding and little features that make a difference that way. I feel very safe at all times a day when I walk my dog and the staff is really helpful and very friendly.

I have really enjoyed my stay so far, love that so many people exercise around here, the restaurants and businesses nearby are also great! It’s also only 15-20 min to downtown. Surprisingly there is peacefulness and privacy at an apartment complex, I have an apt with a yard. And not to mention the staff are super friendly and responsive. The grounds are very clean. I’m enjoying and happy to have selected Lantana.
